New Year, New Me…Not.
I was beyond ready to wave good-bye to 2020, but I gotta tell ya, it doesn’t feel like 2021.
Nope, it still feels like last year. I don’t know if it’s because I’m staying home more than usual (which isn’t saying much since I’m a homebody anyway), homeschooling, or the fact that lockdowns and stay-at-home orders didn’t change my life all that much… but it doesn’t seem like we’ve started a new year.
I am focusing on some new habits—mainly doing more writing sprints during the day so I can...

The Only Road Trip
Like a lot of people in 2020, the Wood family hasn’t left the house much since March. And it’s likely we won’t do so again for a long while.
This weekend was an exception.
Our friends moved to Germany 3 years ago but returned to the States in September. After a lot of consideration and discussion, the Husbot and I decided a short weekend trip to see them would probably be okay.
We barely left their apartment for the two days we were there but it was still lovely. Lil Bit had a chance...

Wild for You and Giveaways
The second book in the Crave series went live this week!
Don’t tell Cam and Brody, but I LOVED writing Sierra and Ben’s story. They’re probably one of my favorite couples ever. Well, at least when it comes to books that I’ve written. I have lots of favorite couples from other authors, too.
Then, there was Sierra’s relationship with Gary. If you’ve read I Crave You, you know all about Gary. If you haven’t, well…what are you waiting for? Okay, okay, so Gary is a fat and cantankerous racco...

𝐻𝑒 𝑔𝑒𝑡𝑠 𝑢𝑛𝑑𝑒𝑟 𝑚𝑦 𝑠𝑘𝑖𝑛 𝑙𝑖𝑘𝑒 𝑛𝑜 𝑜𝑛𝑒 𝑒𝑙𝑠𝑒.
Landen is successful, wickedly intelligent, and handsome. And he knows it. The man is arrogance personified.
I admire his brains, almost as much as I admire his body. Too bad he's such a jerk. I've had enough of men like him and I ’ll do whatever it takes to keep my distance.
𝑇ℎ𝑒𝑛 ℎ𝑒 𝑘𝑖𝑠𝑠𝑒𝑑 𝑚𝑒...
Now, we can't keep our hands off each other and I'm discovering there is so much more to Landen Weber. I'm falling for him, hard and fast. But he hasn't told me the truth about his past, and lies by omission are still lies.
I know how this will end, and I won't let him break my heart, even if it means walking away. But Landen has something else in mind and he's not going to give up.

At Least There are No Zombies
I imagine a lot of you have kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, etc. home from school for the next weekor few. I read an article this morning that Texas schools, especially in metropolitan areas, may close for the rest of the school year because of the spread of COVID-19. Since I live in Texas, Im really worried about that because Lil Bit was just tested for dyslexia the week before spring break and I havent heard back on her results yet. She may need special help to get through the rest of...

2020, here I come.
I know this is a strange title considering it’s almost March, but I’ve had some exciting things happening since January and I couldn’t really talk about them yet because I wasn’t sure how things were going to go with my dad. But, we got some good news about his aneurysm repair—it’s no longer leaking! Other than having a CT scan twice a year to check it, he doesn’t need further surgery on that aneurysm. He does need some other surgeries this year, but they won’t be as invasive.
So, here goes…

Real Life and a New Book
It’s been over a year since I released a book.
It’s the longest I’ve ever gone between releases. At first it just started out with a case of writer’s block. It took a few months but I pushed through and finished the first draft of Raise the Dead. The very next day, my father had a massive heart attack. He nearly died during his open heart surgery and spent 18 days in a medically-induced coma. He didn’t get to come home until 6 weeks after he was rushed to the hospital.
It was such a scary tim...
