Thi is an excerpt from my rough raft of my now published and polished story the kingdom diaires which you can find through searching "mogai" on amazon.
JOURNAL ENTRY 1
Ok so I'm not exactly sure how to start this off. I've been meaning to keep a journal. But I never really bothered too. I guess since I'm about to start training for the Allies it may as well be a good time to start. Though, I'm not sure if it's a good idea. To be honest, I'm not sure why I keep writing. You don't even know who I am. Then again you are a book, so I don't quite know how you would. Ok I guess it's time for introductions then. Hi, my name's Florist. I live in the Kingdom of Dime.
I realize not everyone knows about Kingdoms other than their own residents. So I should probably tell you about it. In history we're taught about The "Separation". When society was separated based on identity. But we aren't taught about the lands that the "Separation" divided us into. Since I am studying for the Allies I know all about them. This was special information given to me in preparation for my training. To be honest I'm lucky to know this information. The realm of Dime contains people who identify as Demisexual. In my Kingdom, we do not experience sexual attraction until a deep bond is formed with our interest.
We only experience sexual attraction to those we are close to after we've become close to them. Otherwise, we experience no attraction . This is the Kingdom of Dime. This is where I'm from. I know that training to be a representative and studying for the Allies, is a lot of work. And I know I may not be chosen. However, I feel like the Kingdoms are interesting in their own right. I find them fascinating and it's hard to believe we never studied about them in school. I want to learn more about them. I mean I know about them but I don't "know" about them. I want to experience first hand what they do. I realize the only way to do this is to become a member of the Allies.
To visit the Kingdoms is my dream and I honestly need to fulfill it. So that's an introduction to me. I hope this journal thing works out. I don't know if it will or won't but I plan on writing about my experiences in training. That's why no one else can see this book. It's a secret. If anyone found out...well that doesn't matter. All that matters is that I'm Florist and this is me.
Journal ENTRY 2
Alright training starts tomorrow. I'm not sure how to feel about it. On one hand I may finally have a chance at visiting other kingdoms, on the other I will encounter all new environments completely foreign to me. Not only that but due to The "Separation" I have to lie. I can't be open about my sexuality when I visit them. That's a terrifying thought. Here everyone just excepts that you are the way you are but not in other kingdoms. I know it's a long shot that I'll be one of the Allies.
But I still fear the implications of becoming one. I don't know what to do about these thoughts. About these fears. But I know it's something I need to face. Something that is going to be a challenge but also something I need to take head on. So here's to me. Going forth into training.
JOURNAL ENTRY 3
Alright so I'll be leaving for training this afternoon. I realize I keep talking about the Allies and my training and you may not know what that is. I think it's near impossible to not know, it's public knowledge anyone in any kingdom knows but I realize you're a book and books aren't sentient so I may as well explain.
The Allies is an organization originally founded after The "Separation". It is an organization that has over fifty different representatives for over 50 different kingdoms. At the age of thirteen we live within the Kingdom of Question there we learn of different identities and then sort ourselves into one. Once then were sent to a kingdom accordingly. However the kingdoms need to know who's being sorted and to where. They need communication with each other. This is what the Allies do. The Allies have one reprehensive from each kingdom (with exceptions) and they handle all political and social justice issues. They also get to go undercover in five Kingdoms depending on who they choose to have communications with. They do this to learn more about the Kingdoms in question. This is a big deal.
It's important and it's a high ranking position. Once your chosen you even get to meet the Empress. I can't tell you how incredible that would be. There are several people who are allowed to train for the allies. I was allowed this honor. The training process itself is a little different though. It takes place within several Training Grounds located in the realm of Tissfim. I don't know much about this land. No one really does. But were sent to different grounds there. We won't get to interact with any of the locals or even get to leave the grounds but it's still an amazing experience.
I leave this afternoon. I'm a little worried a little anxious and a little scared. I'm not sure if I really want to go through with this sometimes. But it's ok, don't worry about it. I know I may not be ready but I've trained for this. I can handle it. Ready or not I'm going. Wish me luck.

Florist Chang is white? The problem with asumptions

A. Flrorist is white
B. Andray is white
C. Otherkin was created for the book.
um no…I’m just going to clear this up on tumblr. Florist is chinese, her last name is Chang and she even says she’s not white at one point, Otherkin was not created for the purpose of this book, they were simply included in the book, Andray is black. I seiriously don’t know what about the name andray spells out white. I think it’s because he’s jewish and people asume their for he must be white.
important note: the only charecters that will ever have their race described in Flrorists telling of the story are charecters that are white. She grew up in a kingdom where white people wern’t commen, so to her they are the only ones who race is worth describing because to her they are foregin.
Examples: “he had skin the colour of uncooked marshmellows”
"she has an odd apearence as well, pail skin…"
"he was frail and had pail skin"
ect ect. Florist is from an almost all poc kingdom, so to her white people stand out. this also adds to why she doesn’t process that she’s expeireincing racist microagressinons in the book when they happen
"many people asume when they meet robin that they don’t speak english some people make that asumption about me as well…"
"people always stare…"
"people judge me more for my apearence than you would think"
It also explains how when she does experience blatant racism in Rohet she is shocked, stunned, and disgusted rightfully claiming the kingdom as evil.
Florist as a character comes from an intresting backround and thus doesn’t understand many things. She completly misses that her best freind has a crush on her. She totally misgenders practicly every charecter, she doesn’t understand gender roles or even process what they are.
She’s a supportive charecter but she also misses a lot of things. So be aware of that when reading the book.
If you want a free copy message me and if your willing to do a liveblog, tumblr and or goodreads review I’d be happy to send you one.

Hopper and the magic Gems Press Release
Hopper and the Magic Gems
Hopper and The Magic Gems is a short 50 page story that tackles a magical bunny rabbit Hopper and his exploration across several kingdoms to retrieve some magic gems in order to restore peace and harmony to his world. While the initial story only lasts about 50 pages the book is fluffed with an lgbt disclaimer, an about the author and artist sections, as well as picture descriptors towards the end for blind readers marking it about at 70 pages in full. The story is meant for children and has some advanced wording in an effort to expand the young readers vocabulary. I would personally recommend the book for children anywhere between the ages of 5-11 years old.
It could also work for advanced readers who don’t mind a juvenile protagonist as well. The story opens with a piece by Raven my narrator character who often narrates a majority of my stories in my “Frosted” canon so to speak. All you really need to know about Raven is that she’s daughter to Anansi the Spider and dreams of being the ultimate storyteller.
But Hopper and the Magic Gems isn’t about Raven it just opens up with her telling you the story. As most of my stories do. Most (not all) my stories exist in the same universe, see my giant crossover fic “The Frost” if you want more info about that Hopper and the Magic gems isn’t a manga or an comic book but it is illustrated. It is illustrated by the lovely Chewubi of Instagram The book is padded out with these illustrations and they are done in full color in a cute aesthetic that resembles an sweet anime chibi style. The story is filled with her lovely illustrations that breathe life into the pages. Overall Hopper and the Magic Gems is a story I’ve been working on and planning on sharing for a long time and now that it’s out I’m really proud of it.
It retails on kindle (you can read with the app on your computer once you buy it through there) for about 5$ and on amazon for about 15$ I know that price might seem high for such a short book but given the self publishing platform it was the minimum listing price in order to get expanded distribution (aka selling on other platforms beyond Amazon). Kindle has an app you can download on the computer if the price seems too high and you can have the book bought and read digitally via that app if you’d rather pay the 5$ price. I make hardly anything off of it either way so it doesn’t matter to me too much.
Overall this book was a high key labor of love and I really hope it reaches an audience. It took a long time to write, format, review, rewrite, re-format, and send off to Chewubi for art to be drawn. It’s something I truly and utterly adore so I hope you like reading it as much as I did writing it. I don’t often feel proud of my work but this just might be the exception.
