So I hand you the key to your cell

Here's today's progress on my subtropical (art)deco mystery about a young medium in a historic spiritualist community teaming up with a shell-shocked haberdasher who's receiving love notes from hell ... as inspired by a real place and a real set of bizarre (otherworldly?) incidents:

Project: Brimstone
Deadline: March 1, 2016
New words written: 8078 (cumulative)
Present total word count: 59,014

Things Accomplished in Fiction: So much fire, you guys. Got a cool scar. Picked up a sidekick.

Things Accomplished in Real Life: Neighborhood jaunts with the dog; another post office run; cleaned house; did laundry; went grocery shopping; cleaned out part of the garage; went out to supper with friends; got a haircut and color touchup.

Personal Other: Stomach bug has cleared out, and now it seems like I'm getting an ear infection. I'll make an appointment to deal with it tomorrow - or failing that with any immediacy, I'll hit up a doc-in-a-box. Hooray.

Cat Other: Tomorrow I need to take the Little Old Lady Cat to get a round of fluids. Tomorrow will be busy. Anyway, Quinnie likes to bring me her toys, when she wants me to flip them across the room. She is very...um...subtle.

Dog Other: Greyson is still adorable.
