I read AB when I first read the series so it hurt every time she mentioned things that happened in AB but it hurts so much more now

enjoy the peace while you can cuz I swear KoA is nothing but trauma. the first few chapters are rough

yeeea Nesryn's parts done get interesting until a little later in the book when she goes off with Sartaq and they make some discoveries. Chaol and Yrene were definitely my favorite part of the book. I absolutely LOVED their growth both individually and together

I got up to chapter 5 and I to stop cuz I'm too emotional thinking about everything that happens. who they are in book 1 is completely different to who they are in KoA 😭😭
also I forgot how sassy Dorian is 😂

I am finally starting my reread of ToG I'm two chapters in and I already want to cry simply by remembering what happens throughout the series lol

I love your interpretation! I didn't think of it like that, I just thought it was slow because we're in a new continent and she was just taking time to explain the world, but I love your take on it. it makes so much sense that while he's healing and getting better so does the book.

that was when the book definitely started getting good for me. I was reading back my notes and I was severely unwell when that happened lmao

I totally recommend the John Wick movies if your okay with graphic violence cuz this man does not hold back lol

In the tiktok he brought up so many comparisons between John Wick and Celeana i was dying laughing.
They are both orphans. John Wick was trained as an assassin by the high council, she was trained by the king of assassins. He's called the baba yaga, she's called Adarlan's assassin. He agrees to do the underworld to get out of his contract, she agrees to a 4 year contract under the king to be free (both want out). Their only difference is he uses guns while she uses daggers.
I will never be able to see the John Wick moves the same again lol

Lol same! I'm so happy i didn't skip her parts cuz she is so great and I love her. I was actually so surprised when we found out she's half Crochan, her being queen didn't surprise me that much because of who she is as a character but her being Crochan was a surprise.
I will defend Abraxos with my life!! If I can convince my husband into getting another dog I am naming it Abraxos.

I just watched a TikTok of a guy talking about ToG (the first book) and he was like this is John Wick😂😂
and now I can't unsee it. Celeana is John Wick 😂

I had the same experience. I think we met Manon and the witches in HoF and there was so much going on in that book between Dorian and Sorcha, Aelin and Rowan, Chaol being Chaol and trying to figure shit out, and I think we also get introduced to Aedion in HoF too so it was just a lot lol. and I feel like the witches didn't get that much "screen time" so I kind of wrote them off.
but in QoS I really started liking them and Manon is one of my favorite characters. I also agree that Asterin is kind of underdeveloped, I love her and her story broke my heart

@Juani reading back my notes it looks like shit starts to get real between all the characters. SLIGHT SPOILERS NOTHING MAJOR things between Chaol and Yerene, Chaols healings, possible Valg sightings, Chaol and Nesryn's "relationship", Sartaq and Nesryn. at the 50% mark is where part 1 ends and shit gets a little more serious in part 2

@peyton I did a tandom read too! it was a journey man lol! I remember finishing EoS and being absolutely heartbroken then having to flip over to ToD and being so scared and stressed out at what was happening then crying happy tears at the end 😂😭 it was a crazy mix of emotions
