Which are your favorite zombie novels? Have you ever read the Rising?

David Moody Great question, Jonathan! The Rising has been on my (massive) 'to be read' pile for a long, long time - I must read it. As to my favourite zombie novels... I'm a big fan of Wayne Simmons' FLU and FEVER, and I loved the Permuted Press anthology THE WORLD IS DEAD. I think WORLD WAR Z (the book, not the movie) is superb, but I guess my absolute favourite must still be I AM LEGEND (again, the book... none of the films). Richard Matheson blurs the line between zombies and vampires, but I AM LEGEND is, to my mind, a classic which helped define the zombie sub-genre.
