A character very deeply woven into your stories died and, like Lynley, I have yet to recover. Will we be allowed to fall in love again? I'm not sure you (or he) agree, but as of Book 20, I don't love anyone yet. I still cannot bring myself to read What Came Before He Shot Her.

Oh, you must read What Came Before He Shot Her because that's the only way you'll know what really happened. What Lynley thinks happened isn't what happened. Will he be allowed to fall in love again? Probably.

Just looked at the photos of the new actors who will portray Lynley and Havers. They look too young! And Lynley still has dark hair. But I realize you had no control over that. How do you feel about the new series? I'm more anxious for the books. Those are "real" Elizabeth George, who can't be surpassed.

I am reading your books in order and have just finished What Came Before He Shot Her. I am in awe of your transition from a 20 year series line to an incredibly deep and intimate backstory of another hero. What encouraged you to delve into this story? Is this tactic something that you would consider doing again? I applaud your bravery, as well as your skill in that endeavor.
