It counts for the Captain's challenge.

message 1202: by ~Leslie~ (new)

~Leslie~ (akareadingmachine) | 2240 comments Thanks, Alley! I read that one (and others) by this author so many years ago. I was probably in my 20's. I need to revisit it! I have such a fondness for bodice rippers!

message 1203: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (daughterofoak) | 3473 comments Oh, I forgot to add a book that I finished yesterday...
The Hiding Place by Trezza Azzopardi by Trezza Azzopardi.
It will count toward the Captain's Challenge.

This was one of the best books I've read in a while. It was wonderfully depressing (yes, I like the sad ones) and so well written that I felt as if I was experiencing everything Dolores was. I can't even begin to say how much I loved it!

If any one is looking for a really, really good book, check this one out!!

~Leslie~ (akareadingmachine) | 2240 comments Kristin wrote: "Oh I didn't even think about Sookie Stackhouse being mystery. I need to start checking that. But I am very excited because I just want to be the library and apparently I was wrong and they recently..."
That is awesome! Regional systems for borrowing ebooks are the best because they usually have more books. My library is on a regional system but my mom's library is not.

@Amanda - both your books count towards the mini challenge as well! My mom likes sad books - I'll be recommending this one to her.

I did enjoy it - not as much as the Highland Mist but enough to start the next one :-) Grimm was a little too "self-sorry" for a Berserker. He's better when he's with Hawk.
