@Marguerite - I haven't put it all together yet. Our next mini challenge might be slightly delayed. Sorry!
Leslie didn't know you was sick. I hope you get better soon. As for the challenges no problem, your health comes first!!!

Finished today

it's a M-M book so not everyone's cup of tea. FBI characters - so mystery book... I did figure out whodunnit, lol

Thanks everyone! Just to explain a little. I have a non-cancerous tumor on my adrenal gland that causes my blood pressure to randomly skyrocket and plummet. I'm on many medications to control it and sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. This is why I can only work occasionally, but have so much time to read!
Anyway, I don't usually talk about it, but I wanted to explain why I'm not okay one moment and then fine the next.

The results are in...
The Captains read 26 books AND Team D read 74 books.
Team D won by 11 books. Great job team!!
As a team, for the 10 days of the challenge, we read 100 books (98 unique). This totals almost 36,000 pages.
Chris and Leslie each read 11 books. Vi read the book with the most pages: Deadhouse Gates (960 pages!!) J.D. Robb and Karen Marie Moning were the most read authors.
I hope everyone had a much fun as Leslie, Vi and I did. Maybe we'll challenge you again sometime soon!
Everyone way to go, way to go, ho ho!!!!!!

Leslie may God put his loving healing hands upon you my friend.

And Way to Go Team!! That was a fun challenge.

Thanks to Melissa for the morning cup of coffee!"
I liked that one - too cute and sooo like a dachsund. They have to be in everything of yours, lol

I am reading

Deedee, this book looks really interesting and I'm not a huge science fiction fan.

I liked it :) . I was trying to communicate with my comment that this novel is "literary science fiction" rather than Star Wars and lasers (which I also like to read!)

My mom had a long hair standard dachsund named Paubet. She weighed close to 40 lbs.

It's been a slow reading week for me but I managed to finish

Now off to find the next book... :)

Ours is tiny - weighs about 15ish lbs

@Rhonda- How are you liking John Corey? I LOVED his dry wit.

@Leslie - I think I can relate to what you're going through. I have lupus and never know how I'm going to feel from day to day. Hard to plan things in advance! Keep your chin up - easier to see where you're going that way.

Thank you for the kind words and prayer.
@Rhonda - I have an aunt who has Lupus and it is a very similar experience. She is such an inspiration to me. That is such a difficult illness. I will be keeping you in my prayers.
I finished

@Donna - I've read the first in that series and would like to get back to it. I like this author.

All of these meet the shelving requirement.
Just finished a free book for review. Katherine in this book is learning all about being a collector and it means to be one. She also has found out that the man she loved is not a collector and that is a whole other story. This is certainly a must read.Just finished a free book for review. Looks like some good books are being read. Loving all the mysteries.
I've always wanted to try the mystery series by Joanne Fluke.
And glad to know that Plum Island was good.
