message 141: by Lori (last edited Apr 16, 2009 09:05AM) (new)

Lori (moderatrixlori) Finished 3 more books. Gym Dandy which was sweet, sad and funny. The characters were engaging and very likable although Doug's constant naivete and uber nerd persona got a little hard to take sometimes. Maybe it's a Canadian thing but I don't know anyone who is as literal and speaks quite like he does. But overall, a quick, enjoyable read. Also finished The Ta'e'sha Chronicles 1 Daughters of Terra This was a very interesting book and reminded me a lot of Morgan Hawke's Interstellar Service & Discipline series. The writing isn't quite as good and the story moves at an unlikely clip but it was sill an enjoyable read and I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series. And my favorite of all, the 4th book in the Soul Mates series. I'm not sure I'll survive until Fall when the next one comes out.
