But I must say that I think I've found motivation to read it: as soon as I finish it I'll allow myself to read Blindness and I feel compelled to read it until end of the month. So that leaves me with a week or so for Historian...

Nichole, I admit that there are books worse written. I even admit there are books more boring. I know that for sure, because I've read them. I was young (ok, younger) and stubborn and I thought that finishing even a crappy book was important (why it was important I don't know; maybe I considered sainthood as a career path or something like that). Now I don't want to waste time on books I don't like when there are abundance of other books I might like.
