Awesome, I'm so happy to hear this!!

Lina (booksnotlovers) I think I'm gonna start The Diary of a Young Girl. I bought it at the norwegian equivalent of goodwill really cheap. And it's the most beautiful copy, and it's from the sixties, and I love pretty books.

message 417: by Gregor (new)

Gregor Xane (gregorxane) | 106 comments I'm about halfway through The Children's Hospital and I've gotten to a point in the narrative that has me concerned that the author just won't be able to top the events that have just taken place. If he manages to do so, I'll be very, very impressed.

message 418: by Lina (new)

Lina (booksnotlovers) I just finished Anne Franks Diary, so I'm starting The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. And I'm shitscared, because I've heard such heartbreaking great reviews about it, and everybody and their mother is talking about it all the time. Plus, there is a movie coming out. I hate reading really hyped up books.

What are your thoughts on Joyland, Valerie? I hope you are enjoying it! :)

message 440: by [deleted user] (new)

I am currently reading Sinner and slightly disappointed so far. Not nearly as much action as Showdown. However, I'm not that far into the book, so I'm definitely gonna read the rest of it.

message 441: by Adam (new)

Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 603 comments I dropped everything to start Born To Bleed, a loaner from Brenda. Although I did read some Carrion Comfort at work today.... Can't read e-book at the office.

Dustin Cindy wrote: "I am currently reading Sinner and slightly disappointed so far. Not nearly as much action as Showdown. However, I'm not that far into the book, so I'm definitely gonna read the rest of it."

I hope it gets better for you, Cindy. For me, it didn't really start getting crazy, intense, and incredibly profound until the latter half.

Thanks Dustin. I figured as much. Didn't think that Dekker would write a dud.

I'm 25% in and nothing has happened yet. I am sure it picks up, as TSID didn't start getting good til about 30% in.

message 446: by Brenda (new)

Brenda Seaberg (cricketseaberg) | 241 comments You're about to get to it, Adam - but it's not a runaway train like TSID. But still, it was pretty good. Now I'm rather anxious to see what the third will be, once it's out.

message 447: by Dustin (new)

Dustin Cindy wrote: "Thanks Dustin. I figured as much. Didn't think that Dekker would write a dud."

Sinner is actually my favorite of the three. I gave 4.5 stars.
