Yes. I think that it's pretty safe to say it's going to be on there somewhere, so you're good to go.

Awesome. I will set up a thread for you and Barbara as soon as I get to a computer.

You can read whatever you'd like. I picked a novella since you're "just visiting" but as long as the book is at least 50 pages, you can read as big of a book as you want.
Great question!

I could get back to this challenge as well and we have the same reading speed. I can start whenever you can if you want to play with me :)

Gea, I'd love to partner with you! We're already in the Scrabble challenge together over in the RLftCI group, and that's the challenge I'm waiting to have end before I start a Monopoly round! I figured it would end around the 20th, so will that be ok for a start date?

I'd say go ahead and set up the thread now, just so we don't forget about it. I can message Gea if things free up a bit and we want to start earlier.

Not a problem! Thank you for setting it up for us!

Sadly, the answer is no either way, but that's a great question. Sorry.

Yeah the one I used for the google docs? I'll do that now.

Anyone willing ;)

As it just turned Midnight EDT here, let's see if Rose is cool with me partnering her before we set up the thread, since I am not exactly what she asked for in a partner, being a faster reader and all. If she says its cool, then I'd be grateful to you for setting up the thread!

Thanks, Paris!

I PM'd Rose a bit ago, just letting her know that I was willing to partner her, but I'd gladly step aside for you, Penni, especially since she asked for a slower reader, and I am most definitely not that!
The game is fun, and fairly easy. The round I'm in with Gea currently is my first time at it too. It is extremely easy to catch on to, and also extremely addicting! I think you'll have a good time with it!

WOW a book a day is amazing.. I really wish I could do 1 book a week :( I used to be faster when I was staying at home but since I started a full time job and a new baby on my hands reading has been almost non existent. That is why I'm going back to participating in challenges to push myself to read more.
I would love to partner with you but when I say slow I mean SLOOOOOOOW as in really slow :)
I would be pulling you down.
And thanks Penni for your offer :)
I realized you said you are slow.. but to me 10 books a month is very fast.. as I said I would be happy to read a book a week!!
I really don't mind partnering with any of you but I feel it's not fair for any of you since I read at a crawling pace :'(

Sounds like you have a lot on your plate, but I have faith that it will all even out in the end!
I'd recommend checking out some of the buddy reads in your groups, as I know I've seen you in The Lost Challenges group as well. Often times those stretch over a longer period of time and have some great discussions that might motivate you to read more. Penni, Ezinwanyi, and I are doing a buddy read of the entire Scanguards Vampires series, that we'd love to have you join! We've finished the first book already, and will start the second next month, so you have plenty of time to catch up to us. Not to mention, these books are on the shorter side, which might help you finish them.
If you change your mind and/or things even out more to where you can read more, feel free to give me a shout, my offer to partner you still stands. Welcome to the group! I think you'll really like it here!

Same goes for me - I would still love to partner with you if you change your mind.
I like the recommends challenges also as well as the buddy read challenges. Thsoe are a lot of fun also.

I was wondering about that. As long as every book I read didn't have to apply to the game, if that might make it workable.

If I understand the rules, we don't have to wait on our opponent to roll. So a fast reader would be able to collect deeds faster than a slow reader, right? It is possible for one person to roll, read the required number of books, roll again, read those books and roll yet a third time all while their opponent is still on their first roll. Do I have that right?
So a fast reader wouldn't necessarily be held back by a slow reader but they would scoop up twice as many deeds.

In my game with Jenne, she ends up rolling far more often than I do and thats mostly cause I can't seem to make all the books I read work with my roll. For instance, I just had to read 2 books from a shelf and I read one of them, but then had to read another book not on the shelf for another challenge and then another book for another challenge. I'm just now finally getting to the second book I needed for the property I'm on.
