I love Harriet the Spy! It was my favorite book when I was in like third grade. Re-read it last year (it was actually for a class I was taking, haha) and still really enjoyed it. :)

I love Lemony Snicket's "A Series Of Unfortunate Events" books!

Now I'm about to start reading Legend of The East Road.

So excited to sink my teeth into this book!

Oh my goodness! What a trip down memory lane you took me on! I loved Nancy Drew (and Hardy Boys, Judy Bolton, Trixie Belden, etc.) when I was in grade school, and I devoured the Babysitter's Club books in jr. high (the summer camp special was my absolute favorite--I was always checking that out of the library!)

I'd never read them before. I got excited about reading the Nancy Drew and Baby-Sitters Club books last year when we were discussing books we remember reading and loving as kids, and everyone was saying how much they loved those. Now I'm grabbing the odd book from time to time. I'm enjoying both, but I like the Baby-Sitters Club books best.

Who is your favorite baby-sitter, Victoria? I liked Dawn best, but Kristy was a close second :) And I loved Kristy and the Walking Disaster, that's a fun one!

I looved the babysitters club.
my fave was mary anne.

I was also very shy as a child. The reason, I think, I loved Kristy, because she was everything I wasn't. (Except bossy, those who knew me best could tell you when I let my guard down, I do tend to get bossy!)
I really admired Dawn's independence and individuality. Plus, she was the "new girl", moving from a big city to a small little town, which I totally understand.

I like Kristy and Dawn, but I think Claudia is my favourite, because I like how she's not afraid to be herself and have her own style, regardless of how others feel about it. I think my order of preference for my favourites would go Claudia, Kristy, Dawn.

Those are the things that make me put Kristy and Dawn as my second and third favourites.

Claudia is probably my 3rd favorite as well. Back when the series was its in heyday, there was a contest for readers to write a short essay on their favorite baby-sitter (for some kind of prize.) At the time, Stacey was the most popular.

from the library last week, can't wait to read it! I think this may be one book I may have to own. The soundtrack is on Spotify, but I haven't listened to it yet!

I got

Oh fun! I'm 30th on the list for my library, so it'll be awhile before I get to it. You totally should listen to it when you get a chance. :)

LOL, I had the same feeling when I finished that book. What an evil cliffhanger!

YES! One of my favorites by him. Still like Stardust the best, but Neverwhere is fantastic!

I started and finished
which was great for summer reading by the pool! Nothing too deep :)
Next I'm reading

Any good? I still haven't read the second book yet."
I still don't know how I feel about it. I liked the second one a lot more than the first one. And this one so far isn't too bad but it's taking me a long time to get through it.

Yay! Those books are so cute. :D I still need to finish the series.

This series is just HILARIOUS!! Don't take anything too seriously, its all tongue-in-cheek humor! Takes a bit of getting used to (like English humor for example), but once you do its so funny!

I read the first one because I loved the adult series that is a companion to it but only thought it was ok. Did you read the Parasol Protectorate series? I think that helps the enjoyment factor.

One of my favourite books/trilogies ever!

I haven't heard of these before but they look really cool! Just added the first one to my TBR. :)

Now I'm starting Sleeping Giants by Sylvain Neuvel. I am so excited to dive into this one!
