message 3210: by Jax (new)

Jax I read Cline’s new book The Guest. Her protagonist Alex seduces an underaged teenager she is using to have a place to stay. Alex muses, “He was seventeen. But better not to know, not to ask. The less information, the easier things will go.” The publisher is very excited about the book, but this troubles me.

Carolyn | 92 comments I definitely recommend Louise Candlish's latest psychological thriller to those who enjoy this genre. It's a clever slow burn with an ending I didn't see coming.

Carolyn | 92 comments Delicious Death (Madame Chalamet Ghost Mysteries #2) by Byrd Nash Delicious Death is the second in a fantasy mystery series featuring a woman who can talk to the spirits of the newly dead and to ghosts who refuse to leave people or places. A light, entertaining read with a slow burn romance.

PattyMacDotComma | 621 comments If the rest of award-winning Irish author Sebastian Barry's books are as good as his latest, Old God's Time, I've got some great reads to look forward to. I loved Tom Kettle and his story. Barry writes with an Irish accent.
