Complaint Department discussion

I stand by 1) and 2) being true and 3) the lie as I'm only a half-Scot not a whole one, if you know what I mean, so that means it's your turn…
MARCIE!

The statement did not say you were wholly Sottish just that you were Scottish so you can say "I'm half Scottish on my father's side, so not wholly Scottish…"is a lie because you didn't claim to be wholly just Scottish.
I guess by your way of thinking that means the President of the US is not African-American because it's only on his father's side!

Thanks guys! But since Kit hasn't had a turn in a while I'll hand it over to her.

#1 I have a triangular flag case with an American flag in it.
#2 I know all the lyrics to dozens of recordings.
#3. I have an exercise ball in my dining room.

if #2 was true you and my daughter would get along sooo good. half of her comebacks are w/lyrics or movie quotes. the other day she responded with the lyrics from foreigner.
...i'm gonna have to go w/#3.

1. TRUE I do have a triangular flag case with an American flag in it. As is traditional for a veteran, it was used in the funeral of a family member who was a US Marine who fought in WWII making the world safe for Roger Kean and his fellow anglo-Scotsmen of which he is so loath to call his own.
2. LIE I don't know all the words to even one LP or CD.
3. TRUE The dining room is the only room downstairs with space for it. The ball is more than twice the height of Zeke so he doesn't go anywhere near it.
In a heartwarming gesture, I give my turn to Kit because her turn went so quickly 22 hours ago.

1. My favorite character in Lord of the Rings is Legolas
2. I have a pittbull/rotweiler mix
3. I love cooking

2. Her name is Penelope (I tried to talk them into naming her son Telemachus, but they didn't get the reference)
3. I do love cooking, I just don't do it very often/am too tired to do so
Roger, I'm making it your turn

2) I won the "Mister HIM Muscles" award at London's gay club Heaven two years in a row.
3) A company I worked for published the world's first all-color magazine produced entirely on the desktop from Apple Macintosh computers.

2. I can't stop laughing.
3. yep Roger was an Apple guy even way back when Steve Jobs was building them in his garage.

I was born and for my first seven years bred in Birmingham, which most other British consider to have the most ugly accent, though in recent years Brummie has become more popular for some strange reason.
My company Newsfield produced an issue of The Games Machine in full-color throughout, all scanned, written, and imageset to printer's film from Macintosh II computers, HP Scanjet scanners and an Agfa high-resolution film recorder in 1987. The first ever.
OK Preston, you can stop laughing now.

1. I hate spiders.
2. I was bestowed the Asian Studies Award in High School.
3. I have 3 cemetery plots

#1) I think spiders are great because they get rid of the nasty insects. Besides ever since reading Charlotte's Web I could never harm a spider. Poor Charlotte and she was so generous and loving. So #1 is the lie.
#2) I didn't even know they had an Asian Studies Award but I got it.
#3) I bought a plot and plaque in a local cemetery where ancestors on my mothers side of the family chill because it was on sale for half price ! I can't resist a sale <-grin->. On my father's side of the family in another cemetery where President Chester Arthur is planted there are two sections with multiple family plots and I'm the only one left to use them because everyone else moved away from northeast so they could live a life of fun in the sun out west. Anyway I decided I wanted cremation (not yet but when the time comes.) So I have three places to rot in and I won't use any of them. Way more than you wanted to know but I think it's funny :D
Congratulations Mr. Roger Michael Kean you are a winner!

looks like i'll have time to head to my son's baseball game since it'll be a while before roger lies to us :) see ya soon my complainers.

1) As a child my playground was a castle moat
2) I live a few miles from a Norman castle that was built 16 years before the Normans came to England
3) Excluding baby rompers, I've never worn long pants

The red rectangle indicates where my home (No. 8 Bluebell Lane) would have been.
2) is true as well, Richard's Castle was built by a Norman before the Conquest: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard&...
3) Ought to be true, but sadly there was a period at school when I had to spend classroom time in a suit with long pants. And of course there were the baby rompers…

So Marcie won this round by correctly identifying The Lie!
