Preston | 20148 comments You are too young to be kissing dirty, lying, foolish boys.

so i would like to disqualify the following messages...
i'm totally kidding y'all ;-D go for it, roger!

message 308: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments I find lying so difficult… almost as hard as telling the truth :-)

1) I have knelt next to a huge tiger and petted him.

2) I shook hands once with John "the Duke" Wayne when he was in London.

3) As a little kid I abandoned my best friend to be attacked by a deadly green mamba snake.

Preston | 20148 comments If it's 1. I bet they had to get both Roger and the tiger very drunk :-)

message 311: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments Not true! I was sober as a judge.

message 314: by Marcie (new)

Marcie | 7096 comments That leaves me #1

message 315: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments Preston wins! He spotted the lie in #2. A very good friend of mine (D.W. of Tesco) as a student worked as a chauffeur to London's film studios, and Rod Steiger always asked for him when he was in town. Rod took D.W. to a restaurrant for supper once and in walked John Wayne so Rod Introduced my friend to Wayne and they shook hands… but not me!

1) I actually have photographic proof of me and my pet tiger, and it was very rude of Preston to infer we were both drunk.

3) I really did abandon my best friend to his fate sitting in a push cart which I ran with him i it into the garage in my Lagos home, and there was this great mamba. It reared up and I fled (to get help was my excuse). Martin screamed his 7-year-old head off and frightened the snake off. Looking back, I'm not proud, really…

And it isn't a stuffed one!

And another friend…

message 317: by Preston, Moderator (new)

Preston | 20148 comments 1. I own an original print by Ben Shahn
2. One day when I was a DJ my friend who did the news announced it entirely in Middle English.
3. I have a clock that I never turned back an hour when the time changed.

message 321: by Preston, Moderator (new)

Preston | 20148 comments Marcie Wins (I could only dream of owning an original print by Ben Shahn,)

message 322: by Marcie (new)

Marcie | 7096 comments 1) i have a bad habit of doodling during meetings.

2) i have a bad habit of sticking a pencil/pen in my hair.

3) i have a bad habit of chipping off the nail polish of my nails.

message 323: by Preston, Moderator (new)

Preston | 20148 comments 1. It's a family trait both my sister and I doodle

message 324: by Marcie (new)

Marcie | 7096 comments Psst. Bro, are you choosing #1 to be a truth or a lie?

message 325: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments 3) is clearly the lie here!

message 326: by Preston, Moderator (new)

Preston | 20148 comments #2 is the lie. No one in our family ever looked like an accountant with a pencil behind his ear except Tio Guillermo who actually was an accountant.

message 327: by Marcie (new)

Marcie | 7096 comments ...tio guillermo...LOL!

1) for some strange reason it helps me from tuning out. but any time i have a penicl/pen & paper in front of me i'll end up doodling...

2) i usually take notes as i read. so since i'm reading at any opportunity i get i'll end up w/a writing utensil in my hair.

3) never been that much of a girly-girl, so i'm not into painting my nails. but toes? most definitely. flip-flops (& open toe shoes) is a must for us californias :)

Roger, you win!

message 328: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments Hmmmmmmm…

1) I have been confronted by a paranormal incident.

2) It's odd, I know, but I really enjoy dusting, polishing, and vacuuming the house.

3) In my time I have used 14 different models of Apple Macintosh computer.

message 329: by Absinthe (new)

Absinthe 3?

message 330: by Preston, Moderator (new)

Preston | 20148 comments 2.

message 331: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments Just because you don't like doing housework, Preston, doesn't mean I don't… really…

message 332: by Preston, Moderator (new)

Preston | 20148 comments No make that 2. enjoy dusting, polishing, vacuuming…Guffaw!

message 333: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments I think Marcie should have a casting vote. I can't answer now because I still have the sitting room to deal with – it hasn't had a good polishing since yesterday morning.

message 334: by Marcie (new)

Marcie | 7096 comments number 1

message 335: by Preston, Moderator (new)

Preston | 20148 comments @Roger I just looked at your bedroom and there are unshelved books to be dusted and above the bookshelf there are three framed pictures that haven't been dusted either. I can actually see the dust it is so thick on the cabinet next to the main bedroom bookshelves.

Actually the kitchen looks pretty clean and polished. Good job!

message 336: by Roger (last edited Mar 01, 2015 12:28AM) (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments I hate to have to say that in this case, Preston has the right of it (I just know I shouldn't have sent you a picture to show off how many books I have on my dusty bookshelves, I just know it!

1) Is true: I have experienced an alarming experience that can only be called paranormal. Sorry for the plug here, but it's related as it happened in Felixitations "Knowing Felix (1980)".

3) Is true: I've been Mac-ed since the first Mac 128K (1985). thereafter, either company or personal: Mac SE; Mac II; Quadra 900; Mac LC II; Quadra 650; Power Macintosh 8100; Power Macintosh 8500; Power Macintosh 4400; Power Macintosh G5; iMac G4; iMac 20" Core 2 Duo; iMac 24"; iMac 21.5" which I'm now typing on.

2) Is obviously a lie, dang it, Preston! Your turn.

message 337: by Preston, Moderator (new)

Preston | 20148 comments Felixitations by Roger Kean Felixitations I read the book and Knowing Felix is my favorite part. I recommend it in my review at https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Note my review may or may not be be what the author intended but the author is not quite sure what he intended either…are you Roger?

1. I wear a medical alert tag.

2. When I was age 17 I took Oxycontin (Oxycodone) long before it hit the news as a drug of abuse.

3. I never had any problems being a gay teen but a guy committed suicide jumping off the top of my apartment building.

Marcie Got it right~! #1 is the lie.

#2. When I was 17 and living in Hawaii I got mono (the kissing disease ;) and my spleen got so big the doctors were afraid it would burst and dangblastit it hurt. So they gave me the oxycontin/oxycodone for the pain. I hated that stuff. It made me nauseous. Why would anybody take that if they didn't have to?

#3. Yeah that happened. The guy was around 40 and I have no idea why he did it. Like they say, it's a permanent solution to a temporary problem so it doesn't make sense. It's also true I didn't have any problems as a gay teen.

It's your turn Sis!

message 342: by Marcie (new)

Marcie | 7096 comments thank you, brother!

sorry you had to go through that. and how sad about that guy... :(

1) i blush very easily.

2) i get sentimental/emotional very easily.

3) i have a high pain tolerance

message 343: by Preston, Moderator (new)

Preston | 20148 comments With kids you need a high pain tolerance, still I pick 2 even though I think it's more you get excited by good things happening. So what would that be? Choice #4? Well #2 is close enough.

#2

message 344: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments Well, I'd say #2 as well, but that's boring (I should have got up earlier), so I'll opt for #3.

Marcie | 7096 comments 3) Roger, you actually getting up late was a good thing cus #3 is the lie. me no likey pain (not that anybody does) the one thing i can not handle what so ever is feeling nauseous. so imagine how i am when i feel "pain"?

1) i do blush like super SUPER easily. i dislike it :(

2) is also true. i cry very easily. pres, i do get happy tears. it does make me happy to see others happy. but i also don't like to see them sad. so yes, i cry at commercials and in movies i've seen several times. and definitely in books.

roger, you're up next, dude! :)

message 347: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments I didn't do it Guv, it's lies, all lies!
