Shaw | 692 comments @Christine- I actually did find a book on my Kindle that will count for W as well so if you want to cover O & N that’ll work. I could probably scrounge an O book or two so you just let me know which letter combo easiest for you.

message 102: by Upton (new)

Upton | 932 comments @Shaw - I have an O and an N so that division of letters works for me.

message 103: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 692 comments Excellent!

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1151 comments My C will be finished tomorrow!

message 105: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 692 comments I’ve got my L book finished and so will finish my W in the next couple of days.

message 106: by Upton (last edited Nov 06, 2024 11:41PM) (new)

Upton | 932 comments I finished both of my books. It looks like out spellout is complete. We Should be able to move on to the second part of the challenge.

message 107: by Shaw (last edited Nov 07, 2024 09:01PM) (new)

Shaw | 692 comments Yay! I’ll start my Maine book soon and narrow down a SPIDER one.

message 108: by Upton (new)

Upton | 932 comments @donna - There doesn't seem to be an option for Pennywise Leg 2 in the dropdown box. Of it could totally be operator error on my part :) Thanks.

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1151 comments Reading - still looking for the page count one though!

message 111: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 692 comments The 27 intact is tricky for me cuz I keep finding 28 instead. But thankfully I have quite a few on my TBR with 25.

message 112: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1151 comments I found my 25 in page count. I'll have it finished tonight and I've started my spider book.

message 113: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 692 comments Excellent! I should have my SPIDER book finished tomorrow morning or evening.

message 114: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 692 comments I’m all finished with my books. I do have a anothe shapeshifter or Maine or 25 book if anyone needs any assistance.

message 115: by Upton (new)

Upton | 932 comments Nicely done Shaw! I only have my shapeshifter book left. How are you doing Carrie?

message 116: by Carrie (last edited Nov 25, 2024 01:23PM) (new)

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1151 comments Hi guys - still reading away.

Shaw - if you could help with the 25 book that would be great. The book I thought would work was 326 pages... Ugh

message 117: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 692 comments That’s the worst! I’ve got it no worries.

message 118: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 692 comments I’m gonna finish up my current audiobook cuz I’m completely enamored of this series and I must finish it! Then I’ll start my 25 count audiobook so I should finish by Thursday.

message 119: by Upton (new)

Upton | 932 comments I will have my shapeshifter book done by then as well.

Have you guys read my post in the Q&A?
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
I will need this answer soon.

message 121: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 692 comments I vote that we keep playing as I would really like to finish more clowns.

message 122: by Upton (new)

Upton | 932 comments I would also like to keep playing!

@Carrie - how do you feel about it? it would be awesome if you wanted to stay, but absolutely OK if you’d like to move on. No pressure at all!

message 123: by Upton (new)

Upton | 932 comments Also, my Shapeshifter book is going to be done this afternoon. Thanksgiving got in the way.

message 124: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 692 comments That’s understandable. I finished mine Thursday morning although I mostly did just work for Thanksgiving.

message 125: by Upton (new)

Upton | 932 comments I finished my book. Adding it now.

message 126: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1151 comments I would love to keep playing. I will have my book for Maine done tonight. Got a bit behind from Thanksgiving!

message 127: by Carrie (last edited Dec 02, 2024 03:49PM) (new)

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1151 comments And Shaw, if you want to use your shapeshifter book so we can get a new monster, I'd be okay with that.

If not, I'll find something tonight.

Also, I added the "notify me when people comment" for this thread and I swear I am not seeing them for some reason!

message 128: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 692 comments I can get it- the book I had in mind for shapeshifter also covers I a task for another challenge so it’s all good.

message 129: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 692 comments And I just posted that we will continue to play with all three of us.

message 130: by Carrie (last edited Dec 02, 2024 07:04PM) (new)

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1151 comments Thanks so much Shaw!

Maine book posted on SS.

message 131: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 692 comments No worries- just posted our Pennywise completion post and picked The Heads as our next clown.

The Heads
description
The Heads are a group of clowns that kidnap a group of people to play a game with them within a haunted house. They are given 12 hours to survive while the clowns try to kill them. The clowns are named Doom-Head, Psycho-Head, Schizo-Head, Death-Head, Sex-Head and Sick-Head.
Sick-Head is a midget that looks like a Hispanic Hitler complete with swastika. Psycho-head and Schizo-Head are chainsaw-wielding brothers. Death & Sex have those words actually written on their chests and are reminiscent of a BDSM duo. Doom-Head is the creepiest of the bunch.

Your team has been assigned Doom-head
Spell out your assigned head.
D
O
O
M
H
E
A
D

The twist for this task is if you complete the spell out in 12 hours or less, your team will receive a bonus of 50 points.

message 133: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 692 comments I have a couple of books planned for D and one for M.

message 134: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1151 comments I just started an M book. I’ll look and see what else I have.

message 135: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 692 comments K- mine can count for an A too then.

message 136: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1151 comments Sounds good. Thanks 😊

message 137: by Upton (new)

Upton | 932 comments I entered an E and an O. I am looking for another O or an H

message 138: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 692 comments I do have an O that I was planning on so I could cover that if it is easier. I am currently reading a D book but if you want to cover the second D or the A instead I can probably find an H. Whichever is easier.

message 139: by Upton (new)

Upton | 932 comments I have a D ready to go. I can enter it when I am back on tomorrow. I think I may have an H as well if we need one.

message 140: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 692 comments Ok- I'll go with my O book and then the A book. I do have a couple of books that will count for an H so I can cover it or we can just see which one gets to it sooner.

message 141: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1151 comments I'll work on the A but if someone gets it finished first, that works!

message 142: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 692 comments I finished my D book and unexpectedly went with a book that works for H. I needed a castle in it so I’ll cover that and then O.

message 143: by Upton (new)

Upton | 932 comments I finished my O book and should have an A book done by tomorrow, unless someone beats me to it.

message 144: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 692 comments Christine wrote: "I finished my O book and should have an A book done by tomorrow, unless someone beats me to it."

I certainly will not be finishing an A book by that time so that would be great.

message 145: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 692 comments I did finish a D book the other day so I could include that if needed. But if someone else is reading one that’s fine too.

message 146: by Upton (new)

Upton | 932 comments The last book needed is a D. If you want to use that one, we would be finished!

message 147: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 692 comments Ok- added and posted and next clown is Captain Spaulding

message 148: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1151 comments Thanks Shaw!

Captain Spaulding
description
Captain Spaulding earned the nickname "Cutter" for stabbing a man to death. He is the patriarch of the Firefly family but keeps this secret so he can send victims to his family. He runs a gas station in Texas. His biggest sales are his fried chicken and his roadside haunted house attraction known as "Captain Spaulding's Museum of Monsters and Madmen". The museum has many strange exhibits and oddities including the famous Murder Ride. A few incidents happened here at Captain Spaulding's. An attempted robbery occurred at the location but both robbers were killed in the act. Two young couples disappeared after a visit to the museum as well.

Complete the following tasks
Arm 1: Read a chain of 3 books with a father
Arm 2: Read a chain of 3 books tagged family
Leg 1: Read a chain of 3 books with a disappearance in the story
Leg 2: Read a chain of 3 books with a haunted house

message 150: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 692 comments I’ve got a book for haunted house and disappearance and I’ll look for ones for father and family.
