Carrie (carriele1216) | 1151 comments Thanks Shaw!

Christine,

Are you feeling better?

message 252: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1151 comments Also,

I noticed Donna lives not too far from where I am located. We had huge storms roll through last week. We lost our power for several days. I know people who have been without power for over a week now. I'm wondering if Donna had the unfortunate luck to be one of them...

Upton | 932 comments Hey Carrie - I am feeling better, thank you for asking. I only had covid once before and it was pretty mellow for me. Not this time. It kicked my butt.

And my son got married yesterday! I was so worried I would still be contagious, but I was good to go.

How are you both doing?

message 254: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 692 comments Getting to go to the wedding seems like a silver lining with being so sick.

message 255: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1151 comments I’m so glad you were good to go for your son’s wedding! Congratulations!

My daughter got married in August. It seemed like we were planning forever and then it all happened so fast. So exciting though!

Covid is rough. I’ve been fortunate to only have had it once. It kicked my butt but only in that it made me exhausted thankfully. Sorry to hear it got the best of you this time. With any luck you’ll be immune for quite awhile and not get it again!

Tickles
description
Tickles the Clown also known as "The Mauler of Innocents" was once an ordinary man who performed as a clown for children's parties. A traumatic event triggered a psychotic breakdown and he gained infamy for abducting and murdering children in brutal and grotesque ways.
He targets not only children but anyone who crosses his path in a deranged need to "preserve" innocence by snuffing it out. He is a very cunning and deeply sadistic person. He takes pleasure in the fear & suffering of his victims. His version of "tickling" is more like torture. His personality is a mix of dark humor and psychopathy. He taunts his victims with mocking laughter and twisted jokes.
Tickles has a terrifying, demonic appearance with exaggerated black eye sockets, a jagged red mouth smeared with blood, and a cracked, grimy white face. His wild matted hair and worn costume just make him look unhinged. His maniacal grin adds to the menacing look that will haunt you long after he is gone.

Complete the following tasks
Arm 1: Read a chain of 3 books with all the letters of TICKLES in the title/series
Arm 2: Read a chain of 3 books with a maniacal grin on the covers (your interpretation)
Leg 1: Read a chain of 3 books that haunt you (scary to you)
Leg 2: Read a chain of 3 books that start with a letter in MAULER (everyone can choose a letter of their choice)

For several days, yes. Not the full week they were expecting. Just long enough to have to replace everything in our freezer.

message 258: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 692 comments That sucks so much!! Losing power is the worst.

message 259: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 692 comments I’ve got books for TICKLES, grin and letter U. I’m still working on book that haunts not because I can’t find one but I’m narrowing it down to one.

message 260: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1151 comments I finished a book yesterday that works for Mauler if no one else needs the L.

That’s terrible Donna! We have actually started considering getting a generator since we seem to be getting hit by the storms and power outages more and more.

Shaw | 692 comments As a matter of fact I do have one that will work for grin if you want me to cover it.

Shaw | 692 comments No problem- I’ll start it soon.

Killjoy
description
Killjoy is a clown-like demon that is the end result of black magic on behalf of tragic individuals who sought love and closure but instead became victims of violence and injustice before being reborn by Killjoy's magic. In the end, after the deaths of their rivals and tormentors, these people who summoned him paid a terrible price by losing their souls to Killjoy. Thus, Killjoy was born and began to murder everyone he came across, prone to driving an ice cream truck.

To capture Killjoy you will need to summon him BEFORE you chain him up. Spell out RIVAL. Then complete the chains below
R
I
V
A
L

Complete the following tasks Must complete spellout above 1st
Arm 1: Read a chain of 3 books with dessert on the cover
Arm 2: Read a chain of 3 books with demons
Leg 1: Read a chain of 3 books tagged revenge
Leg 2: Read a chain of 3 books that start with a letter in ICE CREAM TRUCK

message 277: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 692 comments I’ve got planned books that will count for R, V and L but I can find an I or an A instead if that’s easier for y’all.

message 278: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1151 comments I have an R book!

message 279: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 692 comments Cool - I’ll plan on covering V and L and then I can change it depending on what Christine has.

message 280: by Upton (new)

Upton | 932 comments I can cover the 2 vowels!

message 281: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 692 comments Excellent - that worked out nicely.

message 282: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1151 comments R is finished and posted!

message 283: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 692 comments Wow- that was super fast!

message 284: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1151 comments For once 😂

message 285: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 692 comments I have completed V and L now.

message 286: by Upton (last edited Jun 19, 2025 12:01AM) (new)

Upton | 932 comments And I finished I and A

message 287: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 692 comments Perfect timing! I was just trying to decide which audiobook to start next and now that’s an easy decision.

message 288: by Upton (new)

Upton | 932 comments I have so much to read, I don't even know where to start.

message 289: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 692 comments Do you want me to cover one of the tasks for ya? I’ve got additional books for revenge, ice cream truck and demons but I could probably find another for dessert.

message 290: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1151 comments Do we have to pick the same letter for ice cream truck? I couldn’t remember. I’ll look and see what I have for the other ones.

message 291: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 692 comments I don’t think so as it just says a letter. So it seems like we could do the same letter but it doesn’t have to be.

message 292: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1151 comments Okay. One more question lol -
Do you think this counts as dessert:

The Berry Pickers by Amanda Peters

It’s just blueberries on the cover or do you think it needs to be like on a plate, dish etc?

message 293: by Upton (new)

Upton | 932 comments I don't know about that one. You could argue they are dessert.

message 294: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1151 comments lol yeah - it almost feels like really pushing the envelope

message 295: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 692 comments I could argue that blueberries are dessert but ususlly mixed with something so alone I would say it doesn’t count.

message 296: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1151 comments I'm just on a roll with questions - do personal demons count for demons???

I'm determined to make The Berry Pickers fit lol

I put it on the SS but if we think that it has to be literal demons then I'll take it off 😊

message 297: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 692 comments I think years of trauma would absolutely count as personal demons. I almost went that route myself but I like the actual demons more.

message 298: by Carrie (new)

Yay 😂 - 1 down and 3 to go!

message 299: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 692 comments I’ve finished my books so let me know if ya’ll need any assistance.

message 300: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1151 comments I am finishing up my dessert on cover and then I'll be finished.
