Welcome to the group! If I may ask, what was your major? We hope that this group can help you branch out and meet new people.:)

Welcome to the group.:)If you haven't read it already, or just want to reread it, our book of the month is Under the Dome, so that fits perfectly with what you love.

I love reading and writing but I'm an amateur. This is my first group here and I'm happy to know people who likes the same things like me.

Hi Wendy. Welcome.

I'm hoping to get exposed to some really incredible books on this group :-)

I'm Meg and while I have been off and on good reads for about a year I am making it a goal to be more interactive and take advantage of all this site has to offer!
I tend to bounce from one genre to another. Right now I am reading The Dark Tower from Stephen King and The Bishop from Stephen James.
Anyway glad to be here.

Kirsty, I'm a horseback rider as well! And those are some of my favorite genres as well. Do you read any horse books?
Welcome, Meg! Glad you're getting more involved with goodreads. It's a great place to make friends and talk books. :)

I haven't heard of that book. Glad you enjoyed it!

And good luck with 130!

I'm excited to start this and find new books to read!

Please feel free to explore the group and join in on any of our current challenges.

What genres do you enjoy reading? Does your girlfriend use goodreads as well? Sounds like you guys have some nice competitions with each other in reading!

I hope you understand what I am telling
Now Big Question.....
I don't know what to like...just like interesting, exciting novel thoughts, inspirational ideas, motivational and out of box storyline which may be positive/negative provocative, intimidating teenage idiocy, fast pace saga, sluggish contemporary
i.e.
1. newspapers (i.e. manipulated true/lie stories)
2. spiritual
3. cultural histories
4. suspense and mystery stories
5. fiction tales
6. fantasy – teen, young adult, history, adventure
7. Religious puranas
8. Personality analysis – not development
9. Business success
10. Technology ideas
11. Meditation and Heath exercises
12. Ayurveda practice – also nutrition care for my kid
13. Safety awareness – (electronic pollution , water pollution, environment pollutions, chemical-daily life and food pollution)
14. Modern literature – poetry, biography, philosophy
I just find my own likings from anything.

I'm Robert Jameson and I'm the author of numerous books - mainly non-fiction books - on a variety of subjects.
A common theme of many of my books, however, is the issue of how we can all improve our intelligent thinking capabilities through working to free our minds from prejudice.
And in order to encourage more free-thinking, I offer a wide variety of challenging thought-exercises to encourage people to question the politically-correct and 'acceptable' opinions of the society they live in.
To learn more about my work, please visit my website:

And if you are interested in my work and in supporting my aims, please get in touch. I'm always grateful for any help I can get - and I may even have a book I can send you for free!

I am a middle school teacher for special education ELA and life skills. One comment I hear from my students is that they are allergic to reading. My goal this year to read 75 books. I keep all the books on my desk and always tell my students about them. I want them to understand how many different books are out there and see that not all books are boring. So far this plan is working because I have seen students check out library books for the first time and also students request class reading books!

I'm glad your students are reacting well to your reading encouragement! It's always good to see your efforts pay off.

My name is AD. I read just about anything I can get my hands on. Careful for the stereo instructions, I'll pick them up and read them as well.
I am also a romance author. Just because I write in the genre many think that is all I read. That is the farthest from the truth.
When I'm not writing you can find me working at one of my many jobs because I can't seem to sit still.

Having a wide range of reading interests is always a good thing. Do you only write romance, or have you tried other genres as well?
