Greetings :-) I'm Kirsty, from South Africa. I absolutely adore reading, pretty much anything, but at the moment I would have to say Sci-fi, Fantasy, Classics and some YA are my favourite books to read. I've just completed my last year of high school, love riding horses and playing piano.
I'm hoping to get exposed to some really incredible books on this group :-)

I tend to bounce from one genre to another. Right now I am reading The Dark Tower from Stephen King and The Bishop from Stephen James.

That's awesome! What discipline do you do? What have you read recently? I don't normally... but I recently read The Horse Dancer by Jojo Moyes which was actually incredible! I'd recommend it to pretty much anyone.

I ride a variety of things, but mostly english. I did some dressage and hunters. I'm reading the Wheel of Time series right now. Have some other fantasy and sci-fi books planned for the year. Brandon Sanderson is my favorite author.

I haven't heard of that book. Glad you enjoyed it!

I know! Such a great name :) I love music (live music, specifically, but who doesn't???) So I am hoping to go in that direction, whether it be working at venues, with artists, or other parts of that field. Honestly, I can do anything related to tourism or hospitality, so hotels, food and beverage, retail.. the list goes on!

That's really cool, Courtney! Live music is definitely great. Hope you're able to do something with that. But it definitely sounds like you have a lot of options.

I'll definitely check those challenges out! I'd say my favorite genres would be sci-fi and fantasy, but I'm open to pretty much anything that looks interesting.

6. fantasy – teen, young adult, history, adventure

8. Personality analysis – not development

11. Meditation and Heath exercises
12. Ayurveda practice – also nutrition care for my kid
13. Safety awareness – (electronic pollution , water pollution, environment pollutions, chemical-daily life and food pollution)

I just find my own likings from anything.

coz while reading i just enjoy it at time mini plot or saga.. not remember it as fiction or magazine juicy tale.

Hey everyone my name is Amanda. I love reading and this group has been so nice and motivating. I love to read anything YA and memoirs. This is the first year I have really discovered and used Goodreads and I have to say it's my favorite.

I am a middle school teacher for special education ELA and life skills. One comment I hear from my students is that they are allergic to reading. My goal this year to read 75 books. I keep all the books on my desk and always tell my students about them. I want them to understand how many different books are out there and see that not all books are boring. So far this plan is working because I have seen students check out library books for the first time and also students request class reading books!

I am also a romance author. Just because I write in the genre many think that is all I read. That is the farthest from the truth.

Having a wide range of reading interests is always a good thing. Do you only write romance, or have you tried other genres as well?

I have tried paranormal for my daughter. I really liked it. I just realized that it was so much harder to write than romance haha There is more to it than most people think. Not that writing romance is a cake walk. It was just different than what I was used to. I would definitely like to try it again.

I'm a writer as well, so I know what you mean. Things sound a lot easier than they are a lot of the time! Good luck with future writing projects, whether romance or a new genre. :)
