Lynda Engler (lyndaengler) | 5 comments Hi I'm Lynda. I love reading and writing YA books. My genres are sci-fi, speculative fiction, and good general fiction - good being anything that tells a captivating story, regardless of age group. The Harry Potter and Hunger Games series are among my favorite, but I also enjoy John Green, Madeleine L'Engle, and too many others to mention.
Send suggestions or add me as a friend :)

Liann | 4 comments Hello! My name is Liann, and I mostly read YA and other fiction books of the sort. My favorite author is J.K. Rowling, and I love the Harry Potter series. I also love the Hunger Games, and Divergent, and a whole bunch of other books! Sometimes, I also like reading old books that I remember reading from when I was younger. The simplicity and innocence of the books just brings me back to old times. (:

Well yeah... reading in general is just amazing. (: For a long while I stopped reading, and it was sad. I just started up again, and there are so many books that have come out that I've missed out on, or old ones that I've forgotten and would love to reread. But if anybody has any recommendations I'm completely open!

message 173: by Calai (new)

Calai Alvarez (otakucalai) Hi! My name is Calai from the Philippines. I love YA novels. First YA series that I read is Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and he is my favorite author. I used to read Suspense and Mystery novels, wherein most of the protagonist are Detectives, like the Hardy Boys and Tess Gerritsen's novels. But because of R.Riordan, I realized there are other interesting books out there. I just finished reading Catching Fire and now I am undecided if I should read Delirium first or Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children.

message 183: by Shae (new)

Shae (shaelit) Hi!

So, I'm Shelver (of shelversanonymous.blogspot.com).

My favorite book sort of depends on my current mood, but the ones that have their own special shelf are "The Thief" and its sequels ("Queen of Attolia" is my favorite), "Rilla of Ingleside," "Hunger Games" (the book, not the series - I'm still coming to grips with "Mockingjay"), and "And Then There Were None."

My favorite authors? I admire too many to name, but I have special regard for Megan Whalen Turner, Agatha Christie, Tamora Pierce, J.R.R. Tolkien, and Dee Henderson.

So yes, very nice to be a part of the group. I'm very new to Goodreads, but I promise that I'm a quick learner.

message 187: by [deleted user] (new)

Hello, my name's Susan. I can't really say what my favorite book is because there are so many I like. But I suppose it would be the Hunger Trilogy at the moment. My favorite authors are Eoin Colfer, Frank Beddor, Suzanne Collins, Meg Cabot, Garth Nix, Angie Sage, and Tamora Pierce.

message 188: by K.L. (new)

K.L. Ogden (klogden) | 1 comments Hi everyone! My name is Kristi, but I publish under K. L. I am an avid reader and writer. It's so hard to pick a favorite book or author. But right now my favorites are the Infernal Devices series and Wicked Lovely series. Fave authors would have to be Melissa Marr, Cassandra Clare, Becca Fitzpatrick, and Julie Kagawa.

If you have suggestions, feel free to add me as a friend. I'm new on here and I also just published my first book, Sweet Burden.

Thanks!

Malinda Harvey-Venosky | 2 comments Hi, I'm Malinda. I love, love, love books especially in the paranormal romance section. Currently my favorite book is A Discovery of Witches, which I know isn't a young adult book, but it is still pretty fantastic. I don't really have a favorite author, I love the many flavors they all deliver. I like Shelly Crane, Nicole Williams, Rachel Higginson, Maggie Shayne, and list keeps going and going.
