Hi I'm Anna. I read lots of different things but my favourite YA books at the moment are by Patrick Ness & Siobhan Dowd - Cassandra Clare is great fun and I have a love/hate relationship with the House of the Night books! Two good 'new' reads are Forgotten by Cat Patrick (a Goodreads author) and The Sky is Everywhere - Jandy Nelson. Is anyone else going to shadow the Carnegie scheme this year?

I am excited to participate and read some of the authors you all have mentioned. My favs are, of course, J.K. Rowling, Tolkien and I love Robert Jordan, and George R R Martin. Recently read the Hunger Games and loved it. Watership Down is one of my all time favorites. A book that maybe not many have read, that I really liked, is War for the Oaks. Give it a try! Hi, I'm Jenny. I just joined the group so nice to meet you all :)

I've been an avid reader all my life. Books are my coping mechanism, my escape, my stress reliever, my..well you get the picture. I often say I've been all over this world and many that don't actually exist without ever leaving my living room.

Almost every book is my favorite book while I'm reading it. Very rarely am I just disappointed with a book. I could never name my favorite above all others. Some that stand out though are The Host, Shade, Willow, The Hunger Games, ok ok I need to stop.

Among my favorite authors are Ally Condie (I loved Matched and Crossed), Stephenie Meyer, and Laurell K. Hamilton.

Aside from that, I'm a very busy working wife, mother, and dog owner. I'm happy to meet you all. Happy Reading!

I'm Mallory Anne-Marie (except when I'm novelling and then I'm Archie Standwood or M. S. Sword) LOL, voracious reader in many genres, reviewer, unpublished novelist (of which 2+ are YA). I love contemporary YA because the authors really put in effort to bring forth character, plotting, setting, etc., to interweave themes, and I think almost all YA's I've read in the last few years are just excellent reading, even for an "old" person such as myself. Thus I seem to join every YA group on GR I find.:)

I like to read books that have a storyline that cannot possibly happen in the real world (although it would be really awesome if they would happen in real life as long as we have it without all of the bad and scary parts). Some of my favorite books include: The gone series, the mortal instruments, the infernal devices, the matched series, the uglies series, divergent, the skinjackers trilogy, the missing series, tiger's curse series, hush hush series, and I could go on but honestly no one would read a list that long. I obviously cannot chose just one favorite book, that's just IMMPOSSIBLE!
Oh and if you haven't noticed yet i'm kind of weird....

Hi I'm Seany, always have a book at hand, reading is a passion of mine, I'm not sure I can pick one favourite book because there are so many that I love but Memoirs Of A Geisha is deffinetly in the top, currently I'm addicted to The Song Of Ice And Fire series by George R.R.Martin and the Stravaganza series by Mary Hoffman, Laurell K Hamilton is probably one of my favourite authors along with J.K.Rowling, I can read Harry Potter over and over without tiring of it.

My favorite series of all time is Harry Potter and my current 2 favorite books are Divergent by Veronica Roth (LOVE) and Half Brother which is by an author I forgot haha.
I haven't really hear of a lot of people who have read Half Brother... but I REALLY like it.
(As you might be able to tell I also like using CAPS haha)
