"Set in 2025. Written in 1993. I read it 15 years ago, but it didn’t seem as "current." The government is basically owned by the wealthy. Many are homeless. And now, the government is taking away the minimum wage to be able to "give the homeless jobs" and pay them whatever they want. Sounds like the next scheme of the current powers that be in the real 2025. * sigh *" Sep 07, 2025 09:09PM
