I have been to the museum at Wright Patterson in Dayton. Its huge! Ours is much smaller but I am always amazed at the legacy these ladies left and what they accomplished

Authors I've read include Michael King, Jared Diamond, Michael Burleigh, John Keegan among others. There's so much out there! I'm keen to find recommendations for more great books through this group. I live in South Australia and I'm studying to be a History and physical education teacher at Uni. I love and research any aspect of history from any time period and any region but I'm probably most in love with 18th and 19th century Europe as well as ancient Egypt. I can't wait to get out there and share my passion and love for history with all my future students.

I'm from Canada. I'm 23. I joined this group because I want to gain a better understanding of world history and was excited when I found this massive group of people from around the world.

Greetings! I'm not new here - I joined this group some time ago, but then wasn't online much for some time, though I've lurked here once in awhile. I'm hoping to start visiting more regularly. :)

Belated intros: my name is Kerrie (or Ker), a bibliophile from the U.S., and rooted in the Pacific Northwest. I'm interested in the history of things in general - history of books, textiles, palaeography, ... basically, if I'm interested in a subject I'm also interested in the history of it. My favorite historical period is ancient history: Mesopotamian cultures, especially the Sumerians, with a general interest in the Bronze Age as well as earlier, prehistoric eras; various Iron Age and some early medieval cultures, oh, and a slew of other areas.

Are you using a phone app? If so, then you will need to go to the website because the app is not very good with a lot of things like that. Once you back here through a web browser, you will see a comment box. Just look to the right and see "add book/author."

Hello, All, my name is Ellen. I am retired after a 35 year career as an archaeologist and cultural heritage manager for Parks Canada. I have always enjoyed historical fiction, and usually find myself looking up the historical facts related to what I have read. My interests range widely, both historically and geographically. I am currently very curious about the story of Richard III, given the recent finding of his remains, and having just re-read The Daughter of Time by Josephine Tey. I am also fascinated by some of the details of WW II, being a big fan of the Foyle's War series.

I'm LJ. I have been a history buff since I was young and my grandfather told me tales of the War between the States. That was primarily my interest as well as other wars. I am a sucker for just about anything history related, book or movie, and I'm not afraid to branch out.

I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone else is reading. There are so many periods that I'm interested in but there's not enough time to read about them all!

Hi I'm Emma
I am 21 and about to graduate from university was a degree in History and Education.
I have always loved history (think it is because I grew up in a very historical wee Scottish town!) but my specific interests are any French history and I'm beginning to research more early American history as I feel my knowledge there is lacking!
