Jan, Evermore really was pretty good. It had just enough mystery to keep you guessing. Keeping in mind that it is indeed a young adult, you might enjoy it.

I absolutely LOVED JESSICA'S GUIDE TO DATING ON THE DARK SIDE!! Fell in love with Lucius. Such a complicated & tortured character.

I loved Blood Ties. Henry Fitzroy is one of the hottest vampires ever. But the books, not so much.

To be honest, I enjoyed it actually, enough for me to want to continue with the series. I'm not wild about it, but for me, it was a decent experience.

Maybe it mattered that I listened to it via an audiobook instead of actually reading it. I've noticed that I prefer to listen to books that are told in first person than to read them. I seem to be more receptive and enjoy them more in that way.

I liked EVERMORE, but didn't care for BLUE MOON, the 2nd in this series all that much.

I should have signed up for this challenge! I actually would have made it through at least 5 of them. I don't usually read witch books, but am almost done with which is a collection of "witchy" short stories. A couple of them I've really liked, like Jim Butcher's Harry Dresden story which involves a maenad rather than a regular witch. Some not so much. Was disappointed with Patricia Briggs' story.

My reaction to Iron Hunt was just so-so. Someone on here participating in this month's challenge suggested reading the prequel to Iron Hunt in the anthology Wild Things; which I did. I liked the short story, and was eager to get into Iron Hunt. However, I struggled to finish it. It just didn't hold my interest. I felt like during the first 2/3 of the book, the heroine was trying to figure out this big mystery that all the people that know her claim to love her could've easily solved; but for whatever reason weren't giving up any info. Then, there were moments where it was just flat out confusing, and I kept going back and re-reading just to make sure I didn't miss something. All that negativity aside, I did purchase Tiger Eye and I'm looking forward to reading it. I'll also be reading the sequel to Iron Hunt as well at some point; its just not at the top of my list right now.

I loved Ice Cold Grave, the third Harper Connelly mystery. It kept guessing right up until the very end. I love Charlaine Harris! I can't wait to get my hands on the 4th installment of this series later this year.

Since you seem to like Jayne Ann Krentz you should check out the series she writes under the name Jayne Castle. They are paranormal romances set on the planet Harmony.

Love Nora. If you can find them (and they're often reissued, so you should), look for her McKade brothers series. Very subtle paranormal elements - the ghosts of Civil War Antiem - but lovely romances.

It was my first Nora Roberts trilogy, too. Other trilogies:
Sign of the Seven (about three friends battling a demon that plagues their town)
Island of Three Sisters (involving witches and a curse)
In the Garden (has a vindictive ghost in a big mansion)"

Don't forget the Gallaghers in the Irish Trilogy (Jewels of the Sun, etc.) and
The MacGregors (light but fun)
The Chesapeake Bay series (3 adopted/previously abused brothers who take on the raising of a younger newly-adopted-brother when their dad dies in a car crash. Lots of poignant moments and laughs, and of course there's a beautiful love story for each brother)
