Maddison wrote: "Could The Lord of Opium (Matteo Alacran #2) by Nancy Farmer be red for realistic?"

No I don't think so. It's too much sci-fi dystopian to count for realistic :(

Beautiful Creatures (Caster Chronicles, #1) by Kami Garcia for my romance book?

message 156: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90931 comments Mod
Yes - that one counts as paranormal romance so it's fine ☺

Yes that would put you down a snake. Some editions are listed as having less than 300 pages though which would be fine ☺

message 160: by Heather (new)

Heather | 10157 comments Maddison read Beautiful Darkness for the challenge

Heather, I've already started it so I can't count it for the Feb challenge, can I?

are you reading beautiful creatures or beautiful darkness the 2nd book in the series

message 164: by Tris (new)

Tris | 678 comments Let's say that you are on square 98. Then do you have to move up exactly 2 squares

message 165: by Maddie (new)

Maddie (maddisonbruce) | 53686 comments Mod
I'm reading Beautiful Creatures.

Maybe Heather. I might just read another Goosebumps book lol.

message 171: by Tris (new)

Tris | 678 comments Thanks!
Also, if you start the game by reading a book that requires you to move up 3 squares, do you move up to square 3 or 4?

message 172: by Tris (new)

Tris | 678 comments So basically my question is whether you start at square 1 or 0.

message 173: by Maddie (new)

Maddie (maddisonbruce) | 53686 comments Mod
I think Square 1. I hope square 1 haha.

message 174: by Kate (new)

Kate ★ (spillsandspoils) | 973 comments I asked the same question. Sarah said we start on square 1 then move from there. :)

Maddie (maddisonbruce) | 53686 comments Mod
Alright thanks. :)

message 176: by Tris (new)

Tris | 678 comments I also have another question. What color/category would books from the Pretty Little Liars series fall on?

message 177: by Mei (new)

Mei (meijey) | 3810 comments For category, I think it could be either blue: suspense/mystery, or red: realistic/romance. There's some romance in it anyway :) For colors, depends on the book. I think the covers are enough of 60% of the color. For example, Burned, that would be blue. Or Deadly, that would be green.

Maddison and Kate are right - you start at square 1, so if your three book moved you 3 spaces, you would be on square 4 ☺

Tris wrote: "I also have another question. What color/category would books from the Pretty Little Liars series fall on?"

Mei is right, the PPL books would count for Suspense or Realistic - so blue or red squares, and again the coloured covers count as well -
Pretty Little Liars (Pretty Little Liars, #1) by Sara Shepard -yellow, Ruthless (Pretty Little Liars, #10) by Sara Shepard Burned (Pretty Little Liars, #12) by Sara Shepard Ali's Pretty Little Lies (Pretty Little Liars, #0.5) by Sara Shepard -blue
Deadly (Pretty Little Liars, #14) by Sara Shepard Unbelievable (Pretty Little Liars, #4) by Sara Shepard -green

It looks green to me, this cover is yellow though Angus, Thongs And Full Frontal Snogging Confessions Of Georgia Nicolson by Louise Rennison , so just use that one when you post your review and it will count as yellow ☺

message 186: by Tessa (last edited Jan 28, 2014 09:20AM) (new)

Tessa (tessa_ioana) | 1861 comments Ok,will remember that.
How about these 2:
Interpreter of Maladies by Jhumpa Lahiri The Most Beautiful Book in the World Eight Novellas by Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt
Are they considered yellow?

message 187: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90931 comments Mod
Again, I'd say that each of those has other editions whose covers are more yellow, so you could use those - Interpreter of Maladies by Jhumpa Lahiri Το ωραιότερο βιβλίο του κόσμου και άλλες ιστορίες by Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt

message 188: by Lauren (new)

Lauren Kennedy (laurenxo) Would this count for a girl wearing a hat for the cover scavenger hunt in the yellow? The Other Boleyn Girl (The Tudor Court, #2) by Philippa Gregory

message 189: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90931 comments Mod
Yes ☺ It's clearer on this other cover though - The Other Boleyn Girl (The Tudor Court, #2) by Philippa Gregory

message 190: by Lauren (last edited Jan 28, 2014 10:59AM) (new)

Let's say you are on square 4 (blue). There is a ladder leading to square 14. So do you automatically move up to 14 if you land on 4, or do you have to complete 4 (by reading a blue book) first, and then you move up?
