Yep - Courtney's right - you move to square 14 ☺

I'd say you could use that for either sci-fi(blue), paranormal (green), or romance (red) ☺

Courtney | 15962 comments Would it also count as a yellow cover?

message 207: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90931 comments Mod
It's not really yellow enough unfortunately. I have the hardback and its more an ivory colour than yellow.

message 208: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 15962 comments okay thanks :)

message 221: by Cielo (new)

Cielo | 127 comments Quick question. So each box is a different color, and each color means a different type of book right? But the first square on the chart is yellow, so does that mean everyone starts with a yellow book, or does that mean that's the square you will land in if you read a book that only moves you one space?

message 222: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90931 comments Mod
Everyone starts on square 1, so everybody starts with a book that fits the yellow square ☺

message 223: by Cielo (new)

Cielo | 127 comments Can you use books from the same series, but in a different order. Like first read harry potter three and then later, when convenient, read harry potter 1?

message 224: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90931 comments Mod
Yes ☺ you don't have to read the books in any particular order at all ☺

message 225: by Cielo (new)

Cielo | 127 comments Say you read a book that is over 699 pages, can I still read it and if so, do I move six spaces?

message 226: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90931 comments Mod
Yes ☺ a book from 700 to 799 pages would be worth 7 points. 800-899 would be 8 points etc. ☺

message 228: by Noella (new)

Noella (kookiemonstar) | 3613 comments If you start at square 1, does it mean you should read 300 to 399 pages to move to square 4? Sorry if this has been asked earlier (on work computer XD)

message 229: by Maddie (new)

Maddie (maddisonbruce) | 53686 comments Mod

Correct ☺

message 231: by Noella (new)

Noella (kookiemonstar) | 3613 comments For the yellow squares, do we have to read the exact cover shown for the 'cover scavenger hunt' options? Can it be another edition with more/less pages?

message 232: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90931 comments Mod
You don't have to read the exact edition, as long as it's the same book or same series it's fine ☺

message 233: by Christina (new)

Noella (kookiemonstar) | 3613 comments If I climb up the ladder from square 28 to 84 and then reach square 89 to fall down the snake to square 26. Do I lose points after I climb 28 up to 84 again (or are the points regained since I reached a higher number at the end)?

The only way you can lose points doing that, is if you can't reach the number you was at originally (before having to go down the snake) at the end of the challenge.

message 237: by Noella (new)

Noella (kookiemonstar) | 3613 comments @Abbie
Ooh, Thanks for the clarification. Since my planned route was too short that means I can use the snakes to my advantage :D

message 238: by Abi (new)

Abi (abi_gr) | 27659 comments The snakes seem bad, but they can be a bit of help. :)

It all comes to planning, really. You could go straight to the top, and end the game quickly, or gather a few more points before you reach the top.

You just need to be able to get back up if you go down! Haha.

Christina | 4293 comments An Abundance of Katherines by John Green The Raven Boys (Raven Cycle, #1) by Maggie Stiefvater
Can these two be considered white covers?
Thanks

Edit:
Can I confirm if Mind Games (Mind Games, #1) by Kiersten White be considered for red/romance (as it is listed as a genre)?

Yes, you can use mind games for romance. There's not much romance in it though just so you know! awesome book though ☺

I'll let you have those two as white covers. It's hard to tell with Raven boys but it is around 60% so I'll let you have it ☺

message 243: by Sabine (new)

Sabine Sorendo (sabinet) wow, it's so great idea, you're awesome guys! but i guess i just have too many things to do in school + i'm in other reading challenge (not in this group) so i think i'll pass. but it's really great though!

message 245: by Rachael (new)

Rachael (classycupcakezz) | 5933 comments Another question... I want to do a Buddy Read for Obsidian (Lux, #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout but the only thread I can find is this one and it starts in late March...
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Can I read it early and still participate in that thread and then get a point for a buddy read or how will that work?

message 246: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90931 comments Mod
If you make at least 4 comments regarding the book that will be fine. I've read it so I can discuss it with you as you read it if you want?

message 247: by Abi (new)

Abi (abi_gr) | 27659 comments I can discuss it with you too. :)

message 248: by Rachael (new)

Rachael (classycupcakezz) | 5933 comments Yay perfect.. I just go ahead and comment inside that buddy read thread?
