This is one of Sandra Brown's earliest romance novels (1982). I love her suspense stories she writes now and decided I would try to read her entire bibliography. In this rather predictable romance novel an American bookstore manager living in Lucerne, Switzerland encounters an American photojournalist and sparks fly. The fact that she is engaged to a different very wealthy man makes the story more interesting.

Eve Renner is lured to a cabin in the woods and discovers Roy's brutally murdered body with the number 212 written in blood and is shot in the head at the cabin. At the time of the shooting she is positive that the shooter is her fiancé Cole who gets sent to prison.
After months of rehab in Atlanta staying with her brother Eve now has returned home to New Orleans on the same day that Cole gets set free on a technicality. Very involved story by one of my favorite authors. I give it an enthusiastic ★★★★★'s.

I am enjoying this too. I must admit, I use this thread for book ideas if I am not finding a word that week. I am so glad not everyone waits to post all their books at the end of the week like I do. I found 8 of the words this week in one book, but now I am stuck on the last 2.

I actually found that in the first book I looked :0)
The most difficult word for me so far has been "apple pie"
