This was the first in the Ruth Galloway series that was recommended to me. I loved it! Ruth is a rather dumpy, kind of caustic personality that is a college professor teaching forensic anthropology. Her life changes drastically when the local DCI asks her input into a case where a baby's skeleton has been found. I will definitely continue this series.

(counted from page 300) Q is for Quarry (Kinsey Millhone, #17) by Sue Grafton -- 4/28 - 4 Stars Lover at Last (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #11) by J.R. Ward -- 4/29 - 4.5 Stars

Fan -- Lover at Last - (pg 176): Wind was ripping into the cockpit like there was an industrial fan filling up the space where the pane of glass had been, but it wasn’t like he was planning on going high enough to require pressurization
Quilt -- Q is for Quarry - (pg 321): Edna told me your mother made the quilt , so I came to see her.
Ropes -- Lover at Last - (pg 19): Leave it to Blay to know that he was thinking about things that involved rope s and showerheads
Statue -- Lover at Last - (pg 357): Sola cozied up to the statue ’s base, wrapped her arms around it, and threw all of her strength into rotating its position by no more than two inches
Cereal -- Q is for Quarry - (pg 454): It looked as if the dishes hadn't been done in a week, though all she seemed to eat was cereal and soup.
Glasses -- Lover at Last (pg 166): There was nothing in the deep belly of it, no lingering remnants of a meal, no half-filled, abandoned glasses .
( Snake -- Q is for Quarry - pg 403): Out here in the desert, where the heat was extreme and even less rain fell, coyotes ate anything: lizards, insects, carrion, snake s.
Clock -- Lover at Last - (pg 109): When he glanced at the clock sometime later, he realized fifteen minutes had passed and he was no closer to constructive, repetitive motion, unless you counted breathing
Basement -- Lover at Last - (pg 227): Likewise, his head was cushioned only by the rucksack he had used to bring his few belongings to their new HQ in this warehouse basement .
Teeth -- Lover at Last - (pg 118): Trez ground his teeth .
