Lavada

our regular friend, hope you look after yourself and that everything is sorted out !

I am a diabetic, and have been for seven years because of the family history, although I do work/play hard to keep fit and healthy.

But I do know it can be hard, my wife has had a tough last six months with health as well.

Life can be hard sometimes, but we have to make the most of the good times and we will be here to keep you happy and hopefully healthy.

The Green Dragon Tavern dates back to 1654, and is the oldest historic Boston bar , there is another The Bell in Jar which is also quite old!

Glad you weren't sitting there all day. Court is only fun when you're the spectator.

Green Dragon Tavern .... sit in the same spot where Samuel Adams used to sit.

message 721: by Dipanjan (new)

Dipanjan | 314 comments @ Malina - Bell In The Jar is the oldest yes. Now you know why I love Boston. It's the heartland of the American History.

message 722: by Kristy (new)

Kristy Roland (kristyroland) | 153 comments Is that the guy they named the beer after?

message 723: by Dipanjan (new)

Dipanjan | 314 comments @ Kristy - Samuel Adams was one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. That guy.

message 724: by Kristy (new)

Kristy Roland (kristyroland) | 153 comments Haha. I know. And that is who they named the beer after. It's one of my favorite American beers.

message 725: by Dipanjan (new)

There are counties in Texas that are still dry. So, people drive to the next county, get drunk, then drive back.

message 733: by Kristy (new)

Kristy Roland (kristyroland) | 153 comments I live in a dry county, but I'm boycotting that!
Dips, that is very interesting info about Gujarat. It does show a lot of respect for Gandhi.

Malina | 775 comments My town, just opened its first liquor store last year, only restaurants served it before.

message 735: by Dipanjan (new)

Dipanjan | 314 comments @ Daniel - Ha ha yeah ..... imagine our conveyance expense just to get drunk LOL.

@ Kristy - But the largest consumption of alcohol happens in Gujarat. Bootleggers are rampant. Your alcohol is just a phone call away out there.

message 736: by Kristy (new)

Kristy Roland (kristyroland) | 153 comments Dips, yes it is. Even our bootleggers live right next door. So, I take it you have to drive to get alcohol?

Malina, that's how it is where I live. Only restaurants. Our grocery stores sell beer and wine, that's it.

message 737: by Dipanjan (new)

Dipanjan | 314 comments @ Kristy - Well, you know me. I had the best bar when I was living there. ROFL. Me and my nefarious connections.

Okay, now that I wrote a book entitled "Nefarious," I seem to spot the word more frequently than I used to. I suppose it's like buying a new car; once you've done so, you seem to notice that same make/model everywhere.

message 740: by Kristy (new)

Steven, don't let your mind play tricks on you. It's not a nefarious illusion. We are actually using nefarious in a very nefarious volume among the most nefarious group of people.
