Thats great Amber! My mom is 84 & in assistant living and loves when people talk about her presents so I got her a 5 Ft balloon sculpture. I posted a picture on my profile page. The only way I could figure out how to do it!

I'm so happy she loved it. You're a special daughter to consider her so thoughtfully. It's hard to explain a Mom's attachment to our pets. We all have them right? Four paws or no legs, fur or feathers, they steal our heart. I call my Sweetness & Ham the keeper of my secrets. The cuddle me when I cry & make me laugh when I need it. You making such a special,gift for your mom, you're a special one Amber. :)

Thanks Terri. My mom loved Ziva as her own daughter and my dad was ziva's dad and he called her baby girl so they miss her a lot. :)

Ahhhhhh lighten up. Crack Potatoes is a recipe I found on Pinterest. I love Pinterest and have a busy board on there!!! I only make these on special occasions......as they are pretty addictive and fattening. Yum........one bite........and, well, you know the deal!!!!!

Ribs are precooking in oven, with Italian dressing and Arthur Bryant rub........then they will go on the grill..........and we'll slap 'em down with some A.B. BBQ sauce.

Had a terrible migraine this morning. Maybe too much reading on the iPad last night? Since I have no human kids, the furry, purry ones have been snuggling with me. Now that the headache is gone, I can go back to my reading - with a cat snoozing on my legs. Oh, and yes, they want to lick our plates and have bites of people food at supper time. So I'm not (too) grossed out by your cat drinking out of the water glasses! Happy Mothers' Day, all!

My wife found a hairball on one of her studies for her dissertation this morning. Ha ha ha ha.

Speaking about cats; I love my kitties & I've always said that becuz cats are always so aloof (for lack of a better word), & when they come to you to & cuddle, they really love you! My Sweetness always sits on MY lap. Always. If I'm sitting at the kitchen table, she'll rubs my legs & mew until I move to a better seat so she can sit. Mind you, she's only 10lbs. When Ham sits on my lap I can't breathe (20lbs at today's weigh in!)! Anyway, I've had a pretty sucky day & I've decided kitties are cruel! Today, when I really need a cuddle do u think my Sweetness is where she usually is? Nope. She's actually choosing to sit on J's lap & she NEVER sits w/ him! Dumb cat. ;p

Ah shoot Terri.........I'll come and sit on your lap. Let's see if you complain with a broken leg. LOL!!!!!

We go to the Norfolk Broads at least once every year, even if only for a weekend, and each time the ice cream stand is a "must visit". Sometimes we have one, walk along the sea front for a mile or so, turn around and go and buy more ice cream.

so did you guys see the Once Upon A Time season finale last night? I enjoyed it but was sad that Regina didn't get her true love anymore so I hope they fix that next season. and Elsa from Frozen coming to storybrooke looked interesting too. I ♥ this show! One of my fave shows on television but will have to stay patient for next season. Big Bang theory's season finale is this week too so am going to miss both of them.

I have posted a photo on my profile of my little kitty, Lucy Poosey. Chris wanted to see a picture of her and I am just finally posting. LP has been gone for 2 years now and we still miss her dearly.
One day I will hook a rug with LP as the star subject. Over the years, I saved alot of her hair......(no, it's not gross and I will hook the hair into her rug).

OMG to the MAX, Ter'e. Lucy Poosey is one of the cutest cats I have ever seen, and I have seen a lot of cats!!! Dang, you just wanna squeeze her (shoulda named her Charmin--lol). Love her Grumpy Cat expression. I have to figure out how to get pix on my site you you can see my little urchins. (-:

Love going to Cayman. It is our very fav place to go chill. I come home the most lovely shade of dark brown. David and I love being in the water. He dives, I snorkel. Oh yeh.......back in "the day" I shopped. The most incredible jewelry and treasured coins. That was then......this is now.

After Ivan hit the island........our hearts were positively broken. Mother Nature at her very worst. Our last trip, there, was 4 years ago. Ivan ate our beautiful timeshare.

Believe me.......you cannot "do Cayman" on a budget.

We have our time share in Kauai & it's one of my 2 most fave places on earth! We used to have it in Florida but the last time we were there was July 2010. Brandon died 5d after we left (July 15, 2010). J&I went back the following Christmas but it was too hard. We ended up falling in love w/ Kauai & it works great! No ghosts! I snorkel too! The first time was the year after B & I've always found peace in the water. So I was floating around when suddenly, right in front of me popped a huge sea turtle. He swam a bit away from me then looked back as if to say "are you coming?". We swam together for an hour. I believe w/ all my heart that I had just spent the afternoon playing & swimming w/ B! I will never forget it.

I checked out the kitty photo, she is too cute & she's quite the little fluff ball! She's a pretty girl, just like you!
