You need to download the photos to photobucket then copy and paste the HTML link and that's it!

Terri, the turtle story gave me goosebumps and chills--beautiful...

Terri Thx Christine! I've taught myself that it's ok to believe in the signs & messages. It brings me peace & doesn't hurt anyone. If I truly believe that my B & I had a special bond, not even his death would break it. Thx for letting me share the story. I was telling my mom the other day that I don't NEED to talk about him 24/7, I just NEED to know that I could. :)

How was your day my dear?

Ter'e Crow Lindsay (terecrow) | 798 comments Terri,
I wrote you a message regarding your last precious post and somehow, I knocked the message off, I guess.
I understand what you are saying.......with your turtle experience. As it is MY experience, God speaks to us in many ways, thru many mediums. Thank you so much for sharing........I loved your post.
Xoxo

Christine (clt04) | 4838 comments I am with you, Terri, I believe in signs and messages The Dark Before Dawn by Laurie Stevens too. Thanks for sharing your story. So poignant.

I had a pretty good day yesterday. Got a few things done. Visited my folks. Also got to start a new book (The Dark Before Dawn by Laurie Stevens). I love starting new books. I usually do not recall a lot about a book after shelving it, but do not refresh my memory by rereading it prior to starting the book. I know I will be interested as I am the one who put it on a shelf, but then I get to start off "cold", not knowing what to expect. I like that.

Kristy Roland (kristyroland) | 153 comments I was gone a whole weekend and I missed everyone. I come back to: swimming with turtle...hairballs...kitties sucking on ears...crack potatoes...and everyone being nefarious.

Wow! just wow. If that doesn't sum up this group then I don't know what does.

message 858: by Malina (new)

Malina | 775 comments Welcome back Kristy! It's definitely hard to keep up with all the chatter and craziness here!

message 859: by Daniel (new)

Daniel (diaze) Great summation, Kristy. I think you covered the low-lights.

Amber (amberterminatorofgoodreads) | 694 comments welcome back kristy. :)

message 861: by Kristy (new)

Kristy Roland (kristyroland) | 153 comments Thankfully, this is the only group I'm active in. I don't think I could keep up with much more.

Thanks for the welcome!

Ter'e Crow Lindsay (terecrow) | 798 comments Kristy.....
Save alot of grief. Take us with you next time. What a slumber party this would be.

message 864: by Kristy (new)

Kristy Roland (kristyroland) | 153 comments @ Dips: LOL, yes that's what I do to fit in around here.

@ Ter'e: I would have loved everyone to join me. My weekend was a busy soccer tournament for my boy. It was an hour and a half away and we had to stay overnight.

I did manage to watch Catching Fire for the second time. I absolutely adore that series.

message 865: by Ter'e (new)

Ter'e Crow Lindsay (terecrow) | 798 comments Kristy.......that just jogged me. i still have the last book, in the series, to read. I loved this series (Both books and flicks) And.......I loved the Twilight series.

message 866: by Kristy (new)

Kristy Roland (kristyroland) | 153 comments Mocking Jay was my favorite. It really pulled the three books together. I didn't care much for Twilight. I stopped reading 3/4 through the first book. I haven't taken the time to watch the Twilight movies but I will get to them one of these days. I'm sure the movies will appeal to me much better than the books.

YA is something that I have to be in the mood to read.

message 867: by Amber (new)

Amber (amberterminatorofgoodreads) | 694 comments I read a really cool horror short story called The Monster in my closet by Wil Wheaton and it was pretty good. Here's the link if any one wants to go read his story.

Kristy Roland (kristyroland) | 153 comments Wil Wheaton is such an adorable guy. Totally remember him as a kid on Star Trek. I'm glad he's still working in the entertainment business.

message 869: by Amber (new)

Amber (amberterminatorofgoodreads) | 694 comments Yeah he's in the big bang theory, is a writer and has his own show online where he plays tabletop games. He's got one coming to Syfy next month too.

Daniel (diaze) I hope so! Because that would mean you are an awesome teacher.

message 876: by Kristy (new)

Kristy Roland (kristyroland) | 153 comments Ruth, I think you have the best job. If I were a teacher I'd want to teach writing/language arts to 5th, 6th, or 7th graders. I think that age is great because their minds are just becoming open to the possibilities.

message 877: by Daniel (new)

Daniel (diaze) My daughter loves to write. :)

message 878: by Daniel (new)

Daniel (diaze) Oh lord. I really hat that about our state. A little bragging: she got second place in a city wide creative nonfiction contest. First place was a English professor at a local university, third place was a MFA student. :). And my 15 yr old got second!

message 879: by Malina (new)

message 880: by Daniel (new)

Daniel (diaze) I am!

message 881: by Amber (new)

message 882: by Daniel (new)

Daniel (diaze) Congratulations, Amber. And hopefully between you and my daughter we will have plenty of great stuff to read way into the future!

message 889: by Amber (new)

Amber (amberterminatorofgoodreads) | 694 comments Thanks Chris. I'm thinking when I finish my YA horror fantasy web serial the AbyssFantastical that I am writing right now that I might turn it into a zine version which is a independent magazine you make yourself and donate it to my local library but we'll see what happens. I also want to send it to my fave actor Robert Englund to read and enjoy as a gift for his birthday coming up since he inspired me for the villain in it, NightShade. I'm just having fun writing it for fun and for others to read and enjoy.
