Bety (betyplusbooks) | 211 comments So, I have 3 choices for what to read next: A red book, a book with a musical instrument (unless Ray's bell works for that), or #12 in a series, though I'm least excited about that one. Thoughts? Or suggestions for a good 12th book that can be read non-sequentially?

If you like romance, I'll suggest Julie Garwood's Fast Track OR Robyn Carr's Wild Man Creek

Eh... romance isn't really something I like, especially not as the focus of books.

I'm going with the strategy of "read a little bit of each book and then pick one based on the first chapter."

Ray (user2637) (hugpete) | 1521 comments Phooey. Well, I checked the various Goosebumps series for a short read but all were too few words.

Found a Sherlock Holmes that seems to fit the bill: The Adventure Of The Copper Beeches (The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, #12) by Arthur Conan Doyle . I like Holmes and wouldn't mind reading it, but don't want to claim 2 spots (still working on my Monk book for #11).

Ray (user2637) (hugpete) | 1521 comments Alright, who am I kidding? I'm totally going to read The Adventure Of The Copper Beeches (The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, #12) by Arthur Conan Doyle , especially since I got it on my new Kindle and haven't transferred any other books to that yet, so it'll be a 'test' book. Kinda hate the Kindle already, but maybe I won't after reading on it?? This book is 430 pages in .mobi format! Weird! ebook files can be weird though. The screen's only 6" so I guess it makes sense... :/
