Synopsis:
JARVIS MANN PI IS BACK IN HIS MOST DANGEROUS CASE YET!!

Twenty-two years ago, the slayings began, a new body nearly every month, front page news for all to read. Gruesome in nature, the victims nearly all female, the killer terrorizing the residents of Colorado’s biggest cities. Until one day the murders stopped leaving no clue, or closure. No one knew who he was, his motive for slaughtering them, and why the urge to kill suddenly ended.

Now, more than two decades later, the urge has resurfaced. Carved remains of loved ones left to be found, lives of families ruined, the slayings echoing an all too familiar case from a past once forgotten. Bold headlines return to the local papers, the police and FBI still just as helpless, even with today’s modern advancements. Has the killer resurfaced again? Why did they disappear for so long? How many more will brutally suffer the same horrendous fate?

Hired to find the serial killer, private detective Jarvis Mann digs deep, fighting FBI resistance, with life threatening danger lurking around every corner. His cunning leads to a man he must match wits with, a man the F.B.I can’t touch. Interrogating to get into his psyche in an all-out attempt to stop the insanity and bring him to justice. Cold and calculated, intelligent and coy, the man, wheelchair bound, holds the answers and the secrets. For he is the only one who could be the evil manifestation of: The Front Range Butcher.

Can Jarvis outwit such a mastermind, or has he met his match?

An incredible true story that reads like an international crime thriller peopled with assassins, political activists, shady FBI informants, murdered witnesses, a tenacious attorney, and a murderous foreign dictator.

Here's a description, THE SHAWCROSS LETTERS is a unique book, it is not only literary, but it lets the reader into the mind of a serial killer in a way that few books have ever done before. The reader will be drawn into the mind of Shawcross through his letters, and will find themselves wondering, what actually separates a serial killer from someone that walks among us every day?

Vengeance is an Act of Justice
Revenge is an Act of Passion

Corrections Officer Emil Sorn believed the inmates at Larsan State Prison were coddled by the system, had too many rights, and never received any real punishment for their crimes. As sergeant in charge of the evening shift, disrespect or disobedience in any form was dealt with swiftly, severely, and quietly.

The idea started in a bar after a couple of drinks, and like most ideas so conceived, it should’ve stayed there. If the accused is granted the right to face their accuser, then the victim should have the right to confront the perpetrator. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, a life for a life.

There is a fine line between Justice and Revenge. Emil Sorn is about to cross it.

Haris | 18 comments Imajin Books is publishing my novel "You Only Live Once" on March 21st. It's a comic thriller: a contemporary take on Don Quixote about a mental patient who believes he’s a James Bond-like super spy. I've gotten some great advance reviews, but I would love some reader reviews. The pre-order link is below, but I'd be glad to send an ARC PDF to whoever is interested in reviewing it.

Aza (kungfumom) | 8 comments Hi guys, woaw, I just discovered this thread! 😃

Im a thriller screenwriter & Ive just launched my - so far - mostly well perceived nordic noir mystery thriller debut novel & yes, more reviews would be amazing to make it into bookbub! If you enjoy Stieg Larsson, Jo Nesbo, Henning Mankell... you might get something out of this one as well!

Here is title & description

Hannah Hauptmann Trilogy BOOK 1
"You Don't Know Me"
A genre bash debut novel set in Berlin & Stockholm.

Eighteen years after their affair, Hannah rekindles the love she shared with Anders. Hannah is now a 34-year-old mother and journalist living in Berlin. Anders is a diplomat, tackling a series of refugee killings in Sweden. A week later, Anders is dead. Not convinced that his death is a suicide, Hannah sets out on a risky path to learn the truth.

An interweaved love story with a thriller, political controversy, erotica, and murder mystery style. A sneak peek into multiple underworlds that many of us would never know existed. There is a lot of political and sexual content, BDSM scenes 18+ recommended, as well as strong graphic language.

A controversial book, not a read for the faint of heart!

http://amzn.to/2FF1jkK
& kindle unlimited

I can send you a pdf as well!

Its available on all amazon platforms!

🙏🙏🙏

Thanks for anyone open & willing to make the effort!

Jacques Lufuluabo (joloscar) | 13 comments Hello everyone,

I created a new Facebook group: Talent-scout - Authors & Readers of Thriller, mystery & Crime

The aim of the project is to create a place where readers, as well as discovering our books, can become promoters of the authors they prefer.

I am an Italian writer and in Italy I have already created a community based on these principles. The results were very good. The writers have had excellent feedback and the readers have appreciated the initiative.

Time to time competitions will be organized among the most popular books and once the group has taken off, other initiatives will be introduced.

The only effort required to the authors is to create a single post for each of his books, and (when we have reached a certain number of authors in the group) invite a little friends who love reading. It is about joining forces between the authors and making a team game, so that everyone can benefit from it.

The group has just been created so you will not find much for now, but soon there will be good opportunities. I hope :)

Dan Biermeier | 34 comments A Chase of Blood on Steel

I have FREE Audible promo codes available for 'A Chase of Blood on Steel' in exchange for an honest review on Audible and Goodreads. SW Salzman is a great narrator.

Glen and Denny are torn from their families and thrust into a world you have never imagined. They race upon rails of steel, curving through the depths of a different time. Chasing adventure, tragedy, crime, violence, friendship and loyalty. They eventually land in the hands of two groups of hobos. They learn the life. They learn a new code of ethics … and they learn how to hunt down two homicidal monsters in the Hobo Kingdom.
The Hobo Kingdom has its own language, rules, and characters. These trains are wild rides where no one is safe. A place with Bam! in your face vigilante justice, where the good guys are not pure and the bad guys…you don't even want to know exist.
Settle in for a ride loaded with action, comedy, camaraderie, thrills and a tiny bit of romance. But watch out…there could be blood everywhere!

If interested, message me through Goodreads.

Thanks for that Lisette, the link did indeed get to my book but, from where did you get the link? This is my problem as I'm not as computer savvy as most using this site. I'm a 72 year old stroke survivor who learnt to write as a kid with a nib dipped in the inkwell on my desk, waaaay before even calculators were invented, let alone computers. I think I shall have to resort to good old, physical, 'word of mouth' and local advertising to promote Dark Water - anyway, I'm not convinced that Amazon reviews are the be-all that their cracked up to be.

Simon,

When you are at your dashboard, click on your book title. That will open up a page with all the books information. The link will be in the task bar at the top of your browser. Copy it :)

On reviews, think of them this way:

1. Validation. Writers have fragile egos, are generally insecure and riff with self doubt. Reviews help affirm they have a level of talent for the craft. (or not lol)

2. Visibility. While the majority of readers don't use them to make a purchasing decision. They still give a perception that the author has some standing with readers, regardless of the stars. It is weird I know, but it ties back into the validity thing.

3. Paid promo sites demand them. As Authors we use paid promo sites to sell our books. Most of them require a certain number of reviews or they won't accept our submissions.

Meet Sherlock Holmes' Female Rivals!

This unique collection for connoisseurs of detection done female style brings back six of the greatest fictional women sleuths of the era of gaslights and horseless carriages. Fans of Kinsey Milhone and other contemporary women detectives, as well as of Agatha Christie and Honey West, will love this collection featuring the foremothers of today's fictional female crime-fighters.

Long out of print and unobtainable, these celebrated women 'tecs - Baroness Orczy's Lady Molly of Scotland Yard, Anna Katharine Green's Violet Strange, Arthur B. Reeve's Constance Dunlap, C. L. Pirkis' Loveday Brooke, Valentine's Daphne Wrayne, and Edgar Jepson and Robert Eustace's Ruth Kelstern - were once nearly as famous as the fictional sleuth of Baker Street himself. Their fame waned in the long decades of the 1930s through the '80s, when female sleuths took a backseat to Sam Spade, Nero Wolfe, and the like. But, they are back to baffle and thrill contemporary readers in The Legendary Women Detectives edited by Jean Marie Stine.

It is the story of how the oligarchs of Wall Street, doctors, and others in the pharmaceutical research profession having significant conflicts of interest, and employees of two "captured" US government agencies―the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)―by design as well as by simply refusing to pursue the evidence of malfeasance provided to them, deny patients life-saving treatments that are demonstrated safe and effective in FDA-approved drug trials.

When the severed head of a Wall Street stock analyst turns up spiked on a horn of the Wall Street Bull, Detective Louis Martelli of the NYPD is assigned to track down the murderer. But why were this victim and the victims of two similar murders that followed singled out for execution? Martelli eventually learns the answer to this question and tracks down the killer, but not before uncovering some of Wall Street's and the US government's darkest secrets pertaining to the US financial markets and the nation's health care practices.

Brett James | 1 comments Free paperback copies of The Deadfall Project

Hey folks, I’ve been handmaking paperbacks of the new edition of my book, The Deadfall Project: new edition, and, as always, a few copies don't turn out as planned. I would love to put these 'irregular' copies in the hands of people who would read them*—they’re certainly good enough for that (just not for selling).

More information on the book here: The Deadfall Project: new edition

Let me know if you're interested, either by message or on this thread.

Thank you,
Brett

*I'll be shipping media mail, so I'm afraid this offer is for the USA only.
