Sharlene Almond | 13 comments Hi everyone,

I am currently seeking reviews for my 90,579 historical/21st century psychological, international conspiracy thriller. I am enquiring whether you would be open to reviewing my novel, and/or conducting an author interview or guest blog post?
I happened to come across your blog when researching bloggers open to reviewing novels.

INITIATED TO KILL tells the story of an infamous historical serial killer, connecting to present-day events in Seville, Spain. Annabella Cordova quickly becomes embroiled in the conspiracy involving the university she studies at. Her life is turned into chaos when her friend disappears, seven days later a gruesome package is delivered to Andres Valero; the troubled detective, returning from forced leave, only to be faced with horrific crimes that brings his memories to the surface.

Annabella's past collides with her present, a traumatic childhood event leaving her deaf and without both of her parents. Her ability to read facial and body language in people leads her to discover parallels from an earlier century.

Annabella and Andres must use their skills to track a brilliant killer; a psychopath exploring the mind and actions of an infamous serial killer, and how his crimes are linked to a controversial conspiracy, only he can unravel.

The novel continuously takes the reader back in time to the 19th century; creating a psychological profile of the serial killer that wanders the London streets, his paintings depicting crimes only seen by a killer’s eyes.

Annabella  and Andres combined must stop this person at any cost, and reveal a conspiracy hidden for centuries.

If you are interested, I can send you my e-book in pdf, epub or .mobi.  I am also open to participate in an interview, giveaway, blog tour, or guest blog post.

In the tradition of classic authors like Arthur Conan Doyle and Poe, TEN DARK TALES Of Mystery & Suspense is a dazzling collection of short stories. Starting with four brilliant mysteries filled with twists and turns, noir and adventure, the next three tales lead further into realms of imagination, and the final three add sharp and palpable tension, with hints of myth and magic.

Intricate plots and vivid atmospheres abound, harkening back to those great authors while blending classic with contemporary style.

TEN DARK TALES is sure to widen your eyes and stretch your imagination. One by one, inevitably the screws are tightened…and with each turn comes spine-tingling surprises…

Lilith: Demon of the Night: Detective Louis Martelli, NYPD, Mystery/Thriller Series, Book 3

Listen to a Sample

A Murder Mystery Involving a Modern-Day Vampire Cult

When a man dressed in a long priest's robe and wearing a black, low-crowned, wide-brimmed ecclesiastical hat walked into a Catholic church just prior to the start of a funeral service, stuffed garlic into the deceased's mouth, and pumped a bullet into the corpse, NYPD Homicide Detective Louis Martelli was as puzzled as he's ever been on a case. No stranger to the macabre, Martelli is even more mystified by Deputy Coroner Michael Antonetti's findings, which confirm that the deceased, far from having died of respiratory failure and a possible heart attack, was murdered by someone who injected him with a lethal dose of Philippine cobra venom.

When other, similar deaths are uncovered in and around New York City, the investigation conducted by Martelli and his partner, Detective Sean O'Keeffe, takes a decidedly morbid turn, leading to the discovery of a modern-day vampire cult, a woman named Lilith, and a serial killer with a score to settle.

Who is behind the killings, and can Martelli and O'Keeffe stop him before he kills his last victim and makes good his escape? The answers to these and other questions will be found in this gripping, modern-day tale of vampirism unlike any you have read.

"The story offers more ( ) thriller moments. Romance abounds ( ) but there are rock solid action scenes sprinkled throughout. An appealing, unassertive hero puts this tale a notch above standard spy fare." (Kirkus Review)
"Fans of thrillers that blend in more than a light dose of romance, intrigue, and international encounters, will find A Summer Again story-line robust, fast-paced, and hard to put down." (Midwest Book Reviews, Diane Donovan, Senior Reviewer)

The Legendary Women Detectives: 6 Classic Novelets

Listen to a Sample

Meet Sherlock Holmes' Female Rivals!

This unique collection for connoisseurs of detection done female style brings back six of the greatest fictional women sleuths of the era of gaslights and horseless carriages. Fans of Kinsey Milhone and other contemporary women detectives, as well as of Agatha Christie and Honey West, will love this collection featuring the foremothers of today's fictional female crime-fighters.

Long out of print and unobtainable, these celebrated women 'tecs - Baroness Orczy's Lady Molly of Scotland Yard, Anna Katharine Green's Violet Strange, Arthur B. Reeve's Constance Dunlap, C. L. Pirkis' Loveday Brooke, Valentine's Daphne Wrayne, and Edgar Jepson and Robert Eustace's Ruth Kelstern - were once nearly as famous as the fictional sleuth of Baker Street himself. Their fame waned in the long decades of the 1930s through the '80s, when female sleuths took a backseat to Sam Spade, Nero Wolfe, and the like. But, they are back to baffle and thrill contemporary readers in The Legendary Women Detectives edited by Jean Marie Stine.

Night Shadows: Detective Louis Martelli, NYPD, Mystery/Thriller Series, Book 4

Listen to a Sample

A Mystery/Thriller That You Can’t Put Down

When a wealthy Wall Street commodity futures trader is found dead in his townhouse of an apparent drug overdose, Deputy Coroner Michael Antonetti, NYPD, is suspicious. Antonetti tells Detective Louis Martelli he suspects what appears to be a suicide may in fact be murder.

After a similar case is discovered involving a former friend of the Wall Street trader who played on the same high school football team almost 20 years earlier, Martelli is convinced he is dealing with someone bent on revenge. But the two teammates who ostensibly committed suicide were part of an elite three-man squad known as The Flying Horsemen. This convinces Martelli there will be a third victim. But who might it be, and could the killings have anything to do with the rape and suicide of some of the men's former high school classmates?

The answers will be found in this mystery/thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end.

Robert Everhart | 4 comments Hello there,

I'm Rob and am shamelessly pitching my first published book, Tribal.

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...

Writing the book was certainly difficult, but nothing like attempting to market it. I enjoy being holed up in a room reading or writing, out hawking my wares...not so much. :)

I wrote this story after reading of a protected indigenous tribe in the Andaman Islands.

Here is my blurb: The empty nest is coming. Bryant Williams feels it. He is losing the family unit that he was born to protect. In a last grasp for closeness, he books a hands-on sailing adventure with a worthy captain. But no one is prepared for the separation the sea brings, or the loss at the hands of a megalomaniac. All will be tested when an island of indigenous people becomes their final hope for survival

I'd be happy to send an ebook copy for an honest review.
Just email me at: [email protected]

Thanks much.

Best,
Rob

Jennifer Mason Hi Everyone,

Seeking reviews for the fifth of 5 novels, Partitions of Unity. If that goes well, that would be a great start.

The first person narrator of all five stories is a professional dominant in San Francisco, Elizabeth Cromwell. The common features are: The English Department = the name of her business; the extended Bay area = her domain; Mysteries = the things she gets wrapped up in; Love = Annabelle Flair (Valedictorian), Vasily Kolmogorov (Sebastopol, Tors Lake), Andrei Andreyev (Partitions of Unity). The uncommon feature is that she's unlike any professional dominant anyone has ever met. She has acquired a 15,400 item library (best estimate of her librarian), which has forced her to remodel the premises of the English Department twice, the second time in the manner of a Portuguese monastery. Her clients leave her their books, everything from Freud's Collected Works (missing a volume 15) to The 4 volume Minutes of the Renate Flyte-Simpson Society (erotica, sort of). She has taught a university course three times on F. Scott Fitzgerald. In response to a question, she thought out her reactions to Gatsby. The analysis is chapter 18 of Tors Lake. That filled a two hour drive from Vacaville to Turlock. She is a kind, decent person, blond, about 6 feet tall, stunning, seen at a Pride gathering in San Francisco. She may appear in a 6th story.

The Red Heeled Rebels thrillers are set around the world and has a prequel story, followed by three novels. The first book was shortlisted for the Silver Falchion award this year and am now looking for reviews as it will help me enter promos.

While I don't say it in the books, I wrote these stories to subtly showcase how girls and women are treated around the world. Having grown up in and lived on four continents, I've seen the dark underbelly of some societies and cultures which made me want to give voice to the voiceless.

If you’d like to leave an honest review on Amazon, Goodreads or Bookbub I can send the e-books to you via BookFunnel. Here's the prequel for free for a taste: BookHip.com/JCBQMX

Kronos Ananthsimha | 1 comments Hey guys,
My new book is called Alaskan Storm (Part 1 of Blood Stone Impact): A Taskforce COBALT Action-Adventure Technothriller and it's around 134 pages. I request honest reviews on Amazon, blogs and on Goodreads. The pre-order link is https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07K6SQ3FH and if you want to read an advance copy message me on Goodreads and I'll email it to you. The book will be live on November 20th.
Here is the blurb.
INTRODUCING TASKFORCE COBALT - The covert action unit of DARPA and DIA designed to control scientific threats.

Nick Park has invented a cure for cancer from a virus found in a mythical stone. Soon, the vaccine is stolen and is used as a weapon.

The former Army Ranger turned microbiologist faces betrayal and pain from those he trusted. Park must now go on to face beasts, traitors and nature’s fury.

Captain Damian Blood from COBALT is sent to Alaska with his strike team - Hounds - to secure the virus and help save Park. But everyone involved is dragged into a heated battle at the heart of a storm.

A stone of legend that was with the ancient Greeks, Templar Knights and the Ottomans is now used for a greater conspiracy. Creating regenerating warriors is within humanity’s reach.

The Union of the greatest evils on Earth has been active all along. Regeneration is only the beginning. Their reach is everywhere.

Alaskan Storm is the first part of a three-part military thriller - Blood Stone Impact - which goes on an epic action-packed adventurous journey of techno-thrills.

Fans of Matthew Reilly, Clive Cussler, and Andy McDermott will love this book.

Wheel of Fortune (Martelli NYPD #6)

Listen to a Sample

A GRIPPING MYSTERY/THRILLER & POLICE PROCEDURAL

Even as a child, Katlyn Lundquist was drop-dead gorgeous. She also was willful. In her teens, perhaps out of spite, she created her own name and persona. As she grew up, she readily accepted money and gifts from her parents but thumbed her nose at society, in general, and her parent's way of life, in particular. A seeming infatuation with Tommie Lupinacci, head of a major crime-infested cartage association based in Brooklyn, led her to move east with the mobster. But when she showed up dead with a bullet in the back of her head, NYPD Detectives Louis Martelli and Sean O'Keeffe were stumped.

If this were a mob hit, why dump her body in plain sight? Moreover, who was she and what was the motive for killing her? The investigation leads to the area around Lundquist's hometown in Eastern Pennsylvania and to the mob's efforts to take over the trash hauling and recycling business in Lancaster and York, PA. It's only after Martelli brings IT Specialist Missy Dugan into the case that he and O'Keeffe are able to unravel the mystery.
