Dangerous Hero Addict Support Group discussion

Just finished (loved it), and am now doing violence to myself and resisting the urge to get on bookdepository and ordering the rest of the Buchanan books:-) Now contemplating what to read... More Garwood? Or maybe I'll finally get into Larissa Ione's Demonica series I've heard so much about.. Huh...

BTW, I just realized that Noah (in Heartbreaker) last name is Clayborne, and I'm assuming it's from the Roses series? Does anyone know if he gets his own book? I really like him:-)

Melanie, Noah Clayborne is my baby. Yes, his great great great grandfather is Cole Clayborne from the Historical Clayborne series.

Noah does get his own book. It's called Shadow
Dance. I didn't really care for his story,but I'll reread it again to see if my opinion change. I didn't like Cole's story either. I'll have to reread it to see if my feelings change.

I haven't read the Garwood contemps. Everyone says they suck, but you thin they're good?

LOLOL "Everyone" might have been to broad a statement. I meant that most people I've talked to didn't like them, but that said, the people I talked to were Garwood Historical fanatics, such as myself.

The fourth is a short story called Fire and Ice. It's in Man of My Dreams. But, apparently she's going to rerelease it.

I haven't gotten to Garwood's historicals yet (they're on my TBR bookshelf:-p), and this was the first contemp Garwood I read, and I really enjoyed it.. I have no clue how it compares to her historicals, but I'd at least give the first one a shot :-)

I'm in the middle of Shelly Laurenston's Pack series, having read and last night... Getting ready to move on to :-) I love SL, find her so funny:-)

I think Here Kitty Kitty is my favorite of hers, it is so funny!!

I finally had time to sit down and read!! WOO!

I plowed through SK's DH series and now I have to work on my library books. Help me chose please... They are all so different I just can't do it on my own! Here are my options:

I can't help you much as the only one I read is First Drop of Crimson and while this one is good her Cat and Bones books are better.

I have just started , about 30 pages in and it shows great promise.

So, I decided on Desire Untamed because I had never read the author before and I LOOOVED it!! Lyon is a pretty kick ass "Dangerous Hero" and Pamela Palmer is a pretty serious writer. None of those oh so lovely "he shot that guy" descriptions. She gets down and dirty with how bad the bad guys are and her sex scenes are super steamy.

Don't get me wrong, the whole "we need sex to cleanse the magic from our systems and to complete the ascension" thing is kind corny but with how well written everything else is and how well she does character development I didn't even care. I love a strong, even-minded heroine who doesn't wimp out when bad things happen and you definitely get that here.

Anywho, I took the lovely Book Huntress' advice and I started The Smoke Thief today. I'm about halfway through and loving it so far! The heroine is a little annoying at this point with the constant flip flop between "I'm gonna be nice and flirt with him and give him a try" and "DON'T TOUCH ME YOU FOOL!!". But I'm sure, as always, it'll get better. :)

Courtney, thanks for the thoughts on Desire Untamed. I have that one in the tbr. I hope you end up liking The Smoke Thief. I think Christoff is super sexy.

Has anyone here read the Shannon McKenna series? Book 1 is . If so, who/what series would you compare them to? I just saw some great reviews on the series.

Finished up The Smoke Thief last night. Loved it. Already requested the next one from the library. :)

So, I just read the summary of the second one and ZANE IS IN IT!! :D Yay!! It's "On the Shelf" at my library so I requested it and I'm going to read it once I'm done with my pirate romance moment lol ;)

I need to get back into that series.

Digging into The Pirate Next Door right now. Kinda hard to get into Grayson Finley's character. It seems like he has TONS of baggage so unraveling it should be...uh...fun. Pretty good so far though. :)

Oh wow.. I read [book:Mackenzie's Mountain|662323] years ago!! I remember loving it! It isn't very long, or very complex, but I loved Wolf and Mary so much! I'll have to get myself a new copy!! :-)

I read Mackenzie's Mission as well, and although I didn't find is as great as the first, I did enjoy the smart heroine:-)

Okay, I'm new to this group but I just had to add to it. I'm reading the "Ice" series by Anne Stuart, right now I'm on the last book (5) and I loved the whole series. I don't think they come any more dangerous then these heros.lol

Hi Arch. That's the one I'm on now, I like to read a series in order. This is the first time that I have read Anne Stuart but I do have many more in my tbr. Someone on Amazon Communities rec. her to me,said that I would love her ani-hero's and they were right =)

I can't wait to get my hands on the rest of the Ice series.

I have loved them all. Usually I like to take a break in reading a series and read something else in between but I just couldn't with this one. I started last friday night and will probably finish tomorrow. So far my favorite of them has been 'Ice Storm' wich is the 4th book and it was soooo good. =)

I didn't like Decadent much. Delicious was ok, but I think it was because I loved Luc in Decadent. I didn't like him in Delicious. LOL And I loved Deke in WT, but not in his book. LOLOL

I liked Luc until he got his own book and then he was such a prick for most of the book that he irritated me. lol

Dhestiny, like Melanie, I read the Mackenzies separately. Great series, but Mackenzie's Mountain is my favorite. After at least fifteen years, Wolf and Mary are still one of my all time fave couples.
