Lee | 2502 comments Grand Lake, CO

Lake Granby...

Unseasonably warm the first four days...

Then the snow showed up...

Lee | 2502 comments I had to try out the "couch" we put together. With a throw pillow, coffee table and fire pit...

My son Caleb had to give it a try...

Two 'ol places up there...

message 110: by Lee (new)

Lee | 2502 comments Thank you, T!

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments That couch looks so comfortable, I could just curl up there and take a nap.

message 112: by Lee (new)

Lee | 2502 comments Get four guys together in the woods.... late in the day, no critters around, and deciding we needed something to sit on. :)

message 121: by Michael (new)

Michael (mikedecshop) | 1479 comments He does look like you Tressa
How about those eyes. Are they gray?

message 122: by Tressa (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments Thanks, guys. Especially for saying he favors me. What mom wouldn't love that? Well, I can think of some but you KWIM.

He did not inherit my husband's grizzly skull, thank God. He's got my smaller head.

Michael, his eyes are a beautiful shade of green, just like my mom's and Brooks' sister. He inherited his almond-shaped eyes from Brooks' side of the family.

I'm very pleased with this year's school pic. As you are all aware, you never know how they're going to turn out.

message 123: by Eileen (new)

Eileen Love the picture, Tressa! It reminds me of my sons class pictures. I could look back and know what he was into by what t-shirt he was wearing. Last years school picture I didn't get to see it till he cleaned out his locker at the end of the year, boys! Gotta love teenage boys. My daughter on the other hand would spend days before picture day picking out the right outfit and how her hair was going to look. Then ran home when the pictures were passed out to show us.

I also, think Lucas looks just like you.

message 124: by Tressa (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments That does sound like boys. At least in first grade the pictures are sent home in their backpacks. I remember when I was older how I agonized over my pictures, but you couldn't tell it now. Ugh, some are horrible.

Thanks for the great compliment. :-)

This is a picture of me in Israel in December 2008.

message 130: by Eileen (new)

Eileen Nice picture, Jenny.

message 131: by Tressa (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments You're kind of far away in that picture, Jenn. How long were you in Israel?

message 132: by jb (new)

jb Byrkit (jbbyrkit) | 2035 comments I went in December 2008 and was there for almost 3 weeks. It is not an easy trip but definitely worth it.

Lee | 2502 comments Pumpkin & Caramel Pecan pies are done.

On the platter are Pilgrim Hat cookies.
I guess in this part of the country, they don't sell Chiclets. That's what the orange buckle is supposed to be. I just dyed a little white frosting, and "tried" to dab a bit on.

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments Looks good, Lee. I had some leftover pie crust and made a chocolate pecan pie. It's my first pecan pie so I hope it turns out good.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

message 137: by Lee (last edited Nov 23, 2011 08:32PM) (new)

Lee | 2502 comments I made this Caramel Pecan last year for the first time. Nice combination.

Happy Turkey day to you too...and to everyone else!

message 138: by Eileen (new)

Happy Thanksgiving everyone !!!

Lee | 2502 comments Before taking Wyatt to see Santa at Bass Pro Shop...

Once actually on the 'ol guy's lap, not to sure...

message 143: by Tressa (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments Imagine how very scary it must be when you're that small and Santa's big and red.

message 144: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 1434 comments I always thought Santa was a bit creepy as a child.

message 145: by Tressa (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments I used to feel much trepidation when inching my way up to his lap.

message 146: by Lee (new)

Lee | 2502 comments But, you girls liked what he left under the tree....most of the time!

message 147: by Tressa (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments Yeah, he should just leave our gifts and skedaddle. That's what good Santas do. We don't want to come face-to-face with him.

message 148: by Eileen (new)

Eileen Great picture, Lee. Kids make Christmas all worth it.

I don't ever remember sitting on Santa's lap. I do remember my uncle playing Santa and coming down the stairs. I really thought he was Santa till I went upstairs to the bathroom and on the sink was part of his beard. It sucked being me at that moment.

message 149: by Rachel (last edited Nov 29, 2011 11:26AM) (new)

Rachel | 1434 comments My dad did the same thing but I went with my mom to buy the costume. I guess I learned early that Santa wasn't real. I do remember once sneaking downstairs with my sister in high school to put out milk and cookies for "Santa". I think I just felt my mom looked extra stressed out that year and needed a treat. She still signs gifts from "Santa".

Oh, and I was also really afraid of the Tooth Fairy as a child.

message 150: by Eileen (new)

Eileen Thanks funny, Rachel. I had to wrap my own presents. I never new what was inside I only saw the box.

Tooth Fairy isn't real?!?
