"Your eyes!" Rosie whispered blushing a little, "I've never seen anyone with eyes like yours." she smiled softly still looking at his eyes, mesmerized.

He said nothing but he leaned in to kiss her when the doorbell rung. He took a step back and asked himself, "Who could that be?" as he went to the door and opened it.

Rosie sighed when he left to answer the door, 'Who else knows about this place?' she thought to herself. She walked into the living room as he answered the door. "May I see Rose?" She walked behind Collis and looked through the opened door, "Shelton???" she asked in shock, he nodded softly and she hugged him with tears in her eyes, "Collis, this is my older brother Shelton. Shelton, this is my... Best friend." she didn't want to say something Collis might not like.

Collis smiled and nodded at her hesitancy. If she didn't want to be more than best of friends so be it, he will try to act the part but he knows he will not survive not touching her so he pulled her away from her brother and he gave Rose a playful nudge, "Yeah, bestfriend, right."

He gave her a meaningful glance and in that glance says that they will talk about him being a 'bestfriend'.

While they were aside she whispered, "Mmm maybe a little more then that!" And kissed him on the cheek softly then went back to the door, "Ok he isn't my best friend... He might be just a little bit more" she looked at Collis, "Maybe alot more... But that's for him to decide!" She smiled and winked at him then looked back at Shelton, "How did you find me?" She asked looking at him, "Sniffed you out!" He smiled at her.

Collis turned his back to them to hide his blush. He was not so sure about his feelings for Rose but sure made him blush like this. He then turned when he felt he could face her brother without smiling too much. He lend out a hand to introduce himself more formally, "My name is Collis and I am currently dating your sister. Though I believe she deserves much more."

Rosie blushed softly at what Collis said, she watched Shelton shake his hand, then teased him, "So it's official?" She smiled wide looking at him. "Awww the baby's in love!" Shhelton teased watching the two of them, he always teased Rosie this way since she was her only younger sibling. "Oh, shut up!" She gently pushed Shelton playfully.

He laughed at their antics and he sighed as he remembered the times he and Collin used to be like that. He looked at Shelton who looks like the murderer who killed his brother and he wants to kill him suddenly because he took away what is part of him. He took a step forward and he willed his hands to he claws.

Rosie's smile faded when she saw Collis' claws, and the way he was looking at Shelton. Sheltons face wasnt to happy either, "What's going on?" Rosie asked. "Collis?" Visions from her dream flashed back into her eyes then soon realized it wasn't her dad in her dream, it was Shelton, "You don't know who he is Rosie?" Shelton said softly, Rosie shook her head softly, "Please guys, don't..." She whimpered as Shelton took a step closer. "Hello again Mr. Bradley!" Shelton smirked, "What's going on?" Rosie asked again

He advanced until he was face to face with her brother and he bared his teeth, "I hate you so much that I want to kill you with my bared hands," he felt so much rage that he knew his eyes were shining bright with a unstable emotion that bordered on insanity. He watched as his claws wrapped around her brother's neck and he choked the air out of him. "Die you, you jealous human! If it were not you my brother would still be alive!"

"NOO!!" Rosie shrieked and watched as her brother shifted into a venomous snake and slithered from his hands, "Shelton stop!!" Rosie shouted as he but Collis. "Please!" Rosie said crying, she knew that if she tried to break them apart she would be hurt along with both of them.

He snapped out of his rage and he looked around to see Rosie crying and her brother, a snake. He looked down at his body and he saw his claws curled to his palm which was bleeding because of it. "What did I do, Rose?" he quietly asked her sobbing face.

Rosie could barely speak, "You both..." She tried to calm down, she looked at his arm from Sheltons bite, "Oh my gosh!" She said, his arm was swollen, "You both went after eachother, and my idiot brother was taunting you then.... He shifted into a dangerous snake and bit you!" She looked at her brother who had shifted back, "Why would you do that!?!" She shouted at him, "He started it!" "I don't care who started it!!! You should've known he would've stopped at my command! You didn't have to go and try to kill him!!!" She cried, "Only you can keep his venom from spreading so so it! NOW!!!" She shouted at her brother wiping the tears, and she hugged Collis, "I'm so sorry he did this to you...." She whispered as he fell over, Rosie kept his head from hitting the ground, "Shelton!!! Stop!!! Don't let him die!!!" She cried. "Please."

Shelton walked over and shifted into a small bug and crawled onto his arm and shifted into a bacteria and entered his blood, slowly killing his venom. He hating seeing her sister this way, Shelton was stubborn but he loved her sister.

He froze in shock at what bad happened. He felt his arm swelling up but he ignored it and focused on Rose's face and quietly asked her, "Did we hurt you? Because if we did, I would restrain myself more around your brother. I only attacked him because he looks so much like your father that my body just took hold of my mind and command it to attack him."

He looked deep into her eyes and he wants to hug her but he kept his arms to himself because it might only harm her.

She held his hand gently, keeping her focus on him knowing he would soon be healed, "Not physically, but emotionally.... I love the two of you too much to see you get hurt! Especially if your hurting eachother..." She said softly, unaware that she just told Collis her feelings for him. She soon realized that his hand were bloody, "Don't move." She said as she got some gauze, "Give me your hand" Rosie said as she began to wrap the gauze around them.

He nodded but said nothing in return. He heard love for him from her and do not know how to react. It was a first for him since his brother died but he needs to let his anger go for him to be close to Rose. He looked around for her brother and he saw him missing so he asked, "Where is your brother?" in a low tone.

"Don't freak out.... But he is killing the venom he put in you when he but you... He is a bacteria in your blood at the moment..." She said softly, she looked at his arm and noticed the swelling had gone down alot, "See?" She smiled showing Collis his arm. She finished wrapping his other hand and said, "I'm sorry for what my dad did..."

He nodded and said, "It is not your fault. It is not your brother's fault either but I was too consumed with anger that I realized that he was not here, that your brother is different." He could not resist taking her into his arms this time, "I am sorry, Rose, for what I did."

"It's not your fault either... It's my dads..." She hugged him as Shelton appeared about a foot away, "I'm sorry I taunted you like that Collis, I hope we can start over and build a strong friendship..." Shelton said looking down at the two hugging. "Me too..." Rosie whispered into his ear.

He pulled back to smile down at her and her brother, "How about we start now? Rose, we still have fish to cook. Let's roast it outside where the stars are out tonight."

Rosie smiled at the idea, "Sounds good to me!!!" Rosie smiled. "Alright! But I don't want to overstay..." Shelton said with a small smile, "You sit have alot of questions to answer before you are allowed to leave!" Rosie said looking at his brother, then turned to Collis, "Should we wait until it's dark for the fish and find something to do, or make it now and just eat under the stars?" She asked him with a smile, "I'm good with either one"

"Let's wait first until the sky is darker," he told her as he peeked outside, it was still light but he saw a couple of stars already. He looked back at them and he rubbed his hands together, "You could always ask your brother right now in the living room, Rose."

She smiled at her new nickname, "Sound good to me!" She looked at her brother, "Why did you come to find me?" Rosie asked, "And you could've just called!" "I came because mom had insane news which is why she wanted you to see her.." Shelton explained, "After last time I went I'm never going back!" Rosie responded

Collis left the siblings to give them their privacy so he went to the kitchen and made himself some homemade ice cream. He got out his ice cream maker and heard voices from the other room so clearly like he was in them. He shrugged and got out his ingredients.

"She... She found someone..." He said looking into her eyes, "You mean, dad is completely out of the picture?" Shelton nodded. "So she expected me to go out there to meet dads replacement?" She asked in an angry tone. "You can't tell her I'm here.... She thinks I'm with dad and dad thinks I'm with her.... You can't let them know Shelton. I'm not going to see mom... And I'd rather be with Collis then dad.." She said tears slowly filling her eyes but her tone of voice was steady, "I won't." Shelton responded realizing how much Rosie really loved Collis.

He went back to them with ice cream on one hand and bowls and spoons on the other, "Does anyone-Rose? Why are you crying?" he asked a little bit worried for her as he laid what he held on the coffee table. He went to her side and he hugged her. "You can tell me, Rose. If you'd like."

"I love you Collis.... More than anyone else... I just can't let my parents find out." She looked down, "Expecially my dad..." She frowned. "Everything will be ok.." Shelton said trying to comfort her, "You saw what happened today... Imagine what would happen if you met my dad... I just don't want you hurt." She hid her face in his neck and cried remembering her nightmare.

He said nothing at her declaration of love but he held her tighter as he felt her tears fall, "Shhh, we can do this, Rose, we can." He looked at Shelton and he motioned him outside, "Can I talk with you outside?"

Shelton nodded as Rosie let go of his and relaxed a little bit. When they went outside she got a glass of water. Shelton followed him outside

When they go outside he turned to her brother and eyed him seriously as he said, "Take Rose and get out of here. I do not want her to fight with your parents just because of me."

Shelton sighed, "I don't think that would be smart... Rosie doesn't know it but our dad is also a shifter." He whispered, "He kept the secret from her because he didnt want her to know about your brother... And I'm really sorry about that. He might pick up your scent." He continued, "She wouldn't like the idea... But maybe when she's asleep I could pick her up and take her home if you would like..."

He nodded, "I just want Rose to be safe from any of us. I don't want her hurt so if she falls asleep take her and go home," he said this in a monotone. He did not want Rose leaving him but he needs to stay strong if he wants to have some kind of relationship with her.

"What do I tell her if she wakes up?" Shelton asked looking through the window at her then back at Collis, "What if she wakes up?"

"Tell her the truth," he said as he crossed his arms over his chests. "She deserves it," he added with a smile at Rose's way.

Shelton nodded and reached for the door knobs, "Is that it or is there something else you wanted to say?"

"Tell her that I...care for her," he whispered as he passed by her brother and called out to Rosie, "Rose, where are you?"

"Here!" She said setting down the cup. When Collis went in Shelton followed, "Everything ok?" Rosie smiled as they walked in. Shelton nodded.

"Everything's good but we have to postpone the fish dinner since I need to go to town to pick something up," he was making all this things up but he needed to get away before she leaves. He kissed Rose on the forehead, nodded at her brother and left. When he was outside he shifted into his wolf form and leaved all his humanity behind.

"Everything ok?" Rosie asked Shelton, "He has never left me at his home alone..." She added, "Your not alone, I'm here!" Her brother teased and yawned, "Well, better get comfortable!" Shelton said laying in a smaller couch. Rosie did the same thing and soon fades to a sleep

He was near the forests when he saw the lights went out of his cabin. He sighed as he saw Shelton carry Rose out, sleeping. He nodded at them and he went inside to shift into human and he thought about how hard it is with his love interest for the first time comes to be the daughter of his brother's killer.

Shelton gently carried her to his car and set her in the passenger seat, and drove her home. When they arived at her dads house Shelton gently carried her to her room and put her in bed. Their dad saw Shelton coming down the stairs, "where were you too?" He asked, "We uhm flew home..." Shelton kept his promise of not telling their parents. "We stays at moms for a day then came back..." Shelton explained, but now I'm on my way back." He said and left. Shelton drove back to Collis' house to let him know everything worked well. He gently knock Ed on the door.

He looked up from his brooding to find that someone was knocking his door. "Who is there?" not bothering to stand up since he was tired all of a sudden. He was dressed in a loose shorts and white shirt and he smiled at how Rose commented him wearing a towel or a jacket always.

"Shelton, just wanted to let you know that everything worked out as planned!" He said through the shut door and he turned around to leave.

"Wait," he shouted as he got the yellow jacket from his bed, he went down and gave it to Shelton, "Give this her to her, please."

Shelton took the jacket and nodded as he went to drop off the jacket.

*next day*

Rosie woke in her room, she sat up and found her arm clinched to the jacket she let Collis use. "What the?" She rubbed her eyes and looked around, "What's going on?" She went downstairs and found her dad sipping on a cup of coffee, "Dad? Wha- How did?" "Shelton dropped you off late last night. How was your moms?" Rosie then became aware of what happened but why would Shelton drop her off here? "Eh, I might go again later this week, she's going through alot..." She lied
