He was so shocked that he fell to his knees, "Your father did this? How? Why?" he asked as he remembered how the bullet went to his side.

Diane hang back so that she wouldn't be tempted to crush him to death and when she saw him fall, she quickly went to his side.

Rosie sat next to him, "I don't know... We will never know..." She whispered, "I'm sorry." She cried remembering the day.

Shelton didnt know how to make Rosie feel better. He squared next to her rubbing her back gently, he then looked at Diane, who was wrapping her arms around Collis.

He nodded and looked at Diane, "Please don't," he told Diane. He got up even though it pains him so much..

Diane understand as she let Cole go. She went to Shelton's side and took hold of Shelton's hand.

"I'm so sorry..." Rosie said again, trying to help him up. She didnt know what else to say other than sorry.

Shelton pulled her into his arms and hugged her gently.

Collis nodded and said nothing but he now stood on his two legs so he smiled a little at Diane.

Diane smiled sadly as she noticed that Cole ignored Rosie. "It's okay, Cole. I'll bring you up to date on what happened this year."

Rosie sighed and shifted to a robin and flew towards the forest. She perched herself on a branch to calm down.

"Give her time to calm down, she will come back." Shelton said helping Collis stand, "Lets get you inside!" He said bringing the wheelchair towards him.

Collis sat back to the chair because he was just standing to show Rosie that he was okay which was not true.

Diana smiled and she assisted Cole to the chair, "You know you shouldn't have done that to Rose. She was just saying the truth so that she wouldn't be guilty about it when you get better."

Rosie watched them, she had to tell him eventually, and she did exactly what Collis had wanted to do since her brother was killed. She killed the one thing that would get between her and Collis and it seemed to her that killing her dad was getting between them.

Shelton didnt know what to say so he left the talking to Diane and pushed the wheelchair towards the house.

He nodded and sighed, "I know but I kept quiet because I wondered if Rosie changed for the better or for the worse? Killing her father, though I really hate him, was a hard thing to do so I'm worrying if she's still the same."

Diane understood what Cole was saying so she smacked his head, "Why didn't you tell her that then? And saved us a lot of drama?"

Shelton nodded, "I can assure you she is the same, she didnt know it was our dad when she killed him... He shot you, he came closer and she attacked..."

Collis nodded, "I know that now but I love her too much to lose her."

Diane pushed Cole to the house and she asked him, "Can you stand up on your own or do we need to carry you?" She asked in a careful tone.

Shelton smiled softly as they entered his home, "Are you hungry? Need anything to drink?" He asked stepping out infront of him.
