Gabriel decided to hunt for food when he heard someone knock so early in the morning that he winced at the sound, "Shelton, if you're there go away!" he shouted as he pulled on a dark shirt over his shirt. The knock sounded again, "I'm coming, Shelton. Keep the knocks to yourself."

He sighed as he went downstairs and he opened the door, "You know, Shelton, what-" he stopped as his arms suddenly caught a warm body and it was not Shelton nor Rose. When be saw curly strawberry blonde hair he knew who was in his arms, it was his friend, Diane. He hugged her back and he heard her squeal in excitement, "I'm so gad I got away from my pack to visit you, Cole," she said said in his ear.

He pulled back and he saw her blue eyes twinkling at him, "You are always welcome here, Di" he told her in affection as he ruffled her hair. "Come in, please. It is been ages when I last saw you. Got a boyfriend yet?" he asked in a teasing tone. He saw her snort unlady like, "I won't have any boyfriend unless you got yourself a girlfriend first."

Her dad nodded, there was silence in the room, "Rosie?" He dad said softly. Rosie looked up at him, "Yea?" "I have some news... And your not going to like it..." She looked at him confused, "I have a friend moving in... They don't have anywhere else to go, and I offered him your room..." Rosie was shocked but let him continue, "If you choose to share a room with him, I'd be extremely happy, but if you want to leave, ill pay for the house, hotel whatever." Rosie sighed, "Dad... Who is he?" She was afraid to ask, "Duncan Parks" she hated that man ever since she was little. She always had a hunch that he would end up a criminal, "Just give me the money, credit card, whatever, and ill go and you won't have to worry about me ever again." She said calmly and marched to her room packing things up.

Collis smiled at Diane, "In fact, I'm seeing someone," he told her as he pulled her hand and pulled her the couch. "Oooooh, do I know her?" she asked in a little girl tone. "I doubt that. Her name is Rosie."

Diane shrugged and said, "You know that I am not good with remembering names," she gave him a playful nudge.

Rosie threw stuff in boxes and suitcases not caring if it broke or not. She zipped up the suitcases and taped the boxes. She was glad she was leaving her dad, she would have to worry about Collis and her dad. She felt it safer for everyone if she moved out. She walked downstairs, "love you dad, I'm ready to go..." She said trying to smile. She kissed his cheek and loaded the car with everything she packed.

Collis laughed at her face, "Don't you remember the time. When we first met? You forgot my name twice and when you called out 'Cole' to me that faithful died. I know you are not going to remember it so Cole it is," he explained as he laid her foot on his lap.

"I did that to you?" Diane teased as she laughed with him tickling her feet, "Hey stop that!"

Rosie pulled up at a hotel, checked in and went to her room. She organized the boxes, not sure how long she was going to stay. She sat on her new bed and looked at her new home... Nothing special... He wasnted to know why Shelton took her homoe. She picked up her phone and called him, "Hey, can you come here? I need to see you...."

There was a knock on her door, she rushed and opened the door, "Get in here!" she pulled him in and crossed her arms, "Why did you take me home?" she asked firmly, "Collis said to, he didn't want you to get into any trouble." he said before he could greet her. "Is that what you two were talking about last night?" he nodded.

Collis did not and he continued to torture her with wiggling fingers, "No, I won't," he said with emphasis but he stopped because he saw some tears slide down her cheeks. He smiled at her and winked, "You get that?"

Diane froze and and shifted so that she could see his face, "Cole, did you just flirted with me?" she does not have amy feelings for him but brotherly affection but she likes to tease him from time to time.

Collis smiled wolfishly, "Did you want me to?" he asked as he playfully bit her leg. He saw her laugh again and this time he laughed with her.

"I'm going... Collis doesn't know that I just got kicked out..." she said gathering her things, "Woah, dad kicked you out?" Shelton asked, "He offered my room to Duncan Parks, I'm not sharing my room with him!" she said frustraitedly, "Why?" he asked, "Because he is homeless! I don't know ask him! Now are you coming with me or just going to keep asking questions?" Rosie said, with hurt in her voice. They walked out together, "I'll drop you off, call me when you want picked up." he said as they approached the clearing, "Then just let me out here." she said as the car came to a stop. She began to walk to the door.

Diane's appearance: straberry blonde haired, blue eyes, 5 foot 4, always wear short dresses, wears red lipstick

Diane nodded and looked up at Cole with an evil glint in her eyes, "Now it's my turn," she slowly crawled to him until she was in top of him and she whispered one word to his ear,"Run."

Collis did not needed to be said twice as he pushed Di off of him and he ran to the kitchen with his speed in a second, "You can't catch me, Di! So give it up!" he shouted as he saw her enter the kitchen with a predatory walk.

"Can't I? We'll see about that," she taunted as she went to his side only to have him running around, maintaining a direct line to her.

As Rosie approached the door she heard Collis and another girl laughing, she knocked, but no answer... "Collis?" she said through the door knocking again.

Diane stopped running as she heard someone knocking at Cole's door she shouted, "Be right there!" she turned to Cole who was laughing at her exasperated face. "You answer it," Cole said to her in a hushed tone. "I don't want to answer it if it's Shelton," he added. She saw him winced so she placed a hand on his arm, "It's okay, Cole. I'll do it," she smiled widely at him.

Diane patted his arm once and she went to the door and opened the door.

Rosie noticed a girl she had never met before answer the door, "Uhm, hey, I'm Rosie." She smiled at her, "Is Collis here?"

Diane smiled back her, "I'm Diane, his girlfriend, nive to meet you, Rosie," she said with so much sweetness and this was her payback for him tickling her.

Collis poked his head out of the kitchen, "Is it Shelton?" he asked.

"Girl friend?" She asked and heard Collis in the back, "No... It's Rosie." She said just loud enough for him to hear. "Is this a bad time?" She asked looking at the girl

Diane shook her head, "No it isn't. Just Cole being a big bad boyfriend," she said softly. She turned to Cole, "If Shelton is a small, pretty female, Cole. I would be surprised who you are other friends are."

"Rose?" he asked as he went to the the door and smiled at Rose. "Hey," he greeted her with a grin. He was still guilty of sending her away but it needs to be done.

She looked at Diane then at Collis, "Hey... Uhm, Boy friend? Girl friend?" She was hoping that the Diane was joking about the two of them... She looked at Collis, "Explain, please?" She said trying to sound pleasant.

Collis looked at Rose in confusion, "What are you saying, Rose?" he asked as he caught Di's eyes alight with laughter.

Diane shrugged and wrapped her arms around Cole's waist and she leaned her head on his chest, "We are."

Rosie sighed, "So you get my brother to take me home to hook up with another girl?" Her eyes filled with tears, "Is what she said true, about you two?"

Diane looked surprised as she took in Rosie's tears and she immediately let go of Cole, "Woah, so sorry. I'm kidding about being with Cole. That is like dating my brother. Yuck!"

Collis went to Rose's side and he looked into her eyes, "She is telling the truth about us not being an item and I sent you for a different reason," he needed her to believe that he will not look at any girl ever again unless it's her.

She was relieved to know that she was kidding, "I'm so sorry, my life is just everywhere at the moment..." Rosie said, calming herself down she looked at Collis, "Sorry for the uh, misunderstanding... I just wanted to come and let you know that you won't have to worry about my dad anymore... He uh, sort of kicked me out..." She said.

((just went to the hospital))

Collis felt so angry in his life that he wanted to wring her father's neck and that was in the inside. On the outside, he stood stoic and no emotion was seen on his face so he asked, "Do you have a place to say?"

Diane looked at them with Cole's protective stance and the girl's worried one. She watched as Cole did not do anything with the news the girl just said and this was the first time that she saw him rein in his anger. So she quietly left and gave them some privacy.

Rosie nodded, "I got a hotel room... That will have to work for now..." She sighed softly, "He offered my room to one of his friends." She rolled her eyes, "I just thought you should know" she said looking at him. Then to get off the subject she smiled and nudged him a little, "So who's the girl?" Rosie had never met one of Collis friends or family member, so this was new

"She's only a friend, Rose. So don't you worry about me two-timing you," he told her honestly as he caressed her face with a finger. "How about you stay with me?" he asked without thinking. He shut up and thought of it and the more he thought it, it was getting better for her to stay at his place than at some hotel.

She smiled, "So I shouldn't be jelous?" She teased. When he asked if she wanted to stay he thought for a moment, "Only if it's not a problem... If its an issue, the hotel isn't that bad..." She said with a smile

((Well the hospital isn't fun.... Last time I went I got sergery cuz I broke my arm))

"It's no problem," he told her as he wrapped his arms around her waist. "I want you to stay here so I know you will be safe from any danger and because I want to see you everyday."

Then why send me home in my sleep? she thought to herself. But she smiled and looked at him, "Sounds like a good idea to me" she gently kissed his cheek and looked into his sparkling eyes. "Where did, Diane I think was her name, where did she go?" She smiled at him, "I'd love to meet your friend!"

Diane poked her head out of the kitchen with a sandwich in her mouth, "Looking for me?"

Collis sighed and led her to the kitchen and made introductions, "Rose, this is my closest friend Diane. Diane, meet my girlfriend, Rosie."

Rosie smiled and waved at her, "enjoying your sandwich?" Rosie smiled looked from Collis to Diane, "So do you two know eachother?" She smiled curiously

Diane nodded and went out if the kitchen to the living room to watch some tv.

Collis nodded at Rose, "Yes ever since we were little cubs."

Rosie smiled, "Awww! Any pictures?" She asked excitedly. "I wanna see!!!" She found herself overly excited, "Sorry I'm just excited to meet one of your friends

He smiled at her and he gestured to his room, "It's somewhere in my room. Wanna go?" he asked as he went to the sink and washed his hands.

Rosie nodded enthusiasticly, "You coming Diane? We are looking at a picture of the two of you" she smiled as Collis washed his hands

"No! American Idol is on!" Diane shouted from the living room in an excited voice.

Collis took her hand and led her to his bedroom where it was a mess. Every clothing he owns was scattered on every surface. "Don't mind the mess, Rose," he told her as he searched for the photo albums. Ever since since she left, he himself was a mess.

Rosie smiled as he pulled her to his room, "It was so neat!" She laughed, teasing him a little, "Do you need help looking?" Rosie said watching him scramble trough a few books

"No," he answered as he found the photo album he was looking for. It looks like the typical album with its white covered plastic and binder. He gave it to her and went tot he bed to straighten up his bedsheet for her to seat on.

She sat next to him and opened it, finding pictures of little kids, "Is that you?!" She whispered point to a picture of a boy with a wide smile and a big birthday cake next to him. She smiled and looked up at him

He smiled as he caught the sight of the picture, "Yeah, it was my 8th birthday and if I remember correctly I ate all the cake and I growled on anyone who would try to eat."

Rosie chuckled, "Greety little 8 year old huh?" She teased looking through the pictures. She saw a photo of two young boys that looked exactly alike, with their arms around eachother, she was hesitant but whispered, "Is that... Your brother?" She felt her heart stop as she said the words, knowing what her father did to him.

He nodded, "That was taken when I was 9 and he was 11. We just got out new bicycles from our dad who was alpha at the time, still is," he took the photo from her and touched his brother's smiling face with sadness.

"I'm sorry.... About my dad..." Was all she was able to get out... She felt really bad about what her dad did to Collis and his family. Just thinking about what her dad did made her tear up. She didnt cry because Collis was hurting more than she was... But the thought of bein the daughter of a murderer hurt her.

He said nothing as he turned a page of the album and he saw him and Di on a seesaw, "This was taken when Di and I were 11 years old. We were at the park that day and I remembered she got of her seat and I fell back on my butt. It hurts, I will say that."

Rosie smiled at his memory, "Sound like she's one to push you into a mud puddle and laugh!" She smiled at the photos, "You did not!" She said, holding back her laughter as she look at a picture of Diane with short hair and Collis with sissors in his hand.

He laughed, "Yes I did. That was taken after the day of the see saw accident. She was looking at somewhere else and I saw the chance to have my revenge." He looked at her in suspicion, "You wouldn't have done that, would you?"

"Maybe" she smiled and looked at a couple more pictures, "What happened there?" She smiled pointing to the picture with the two of them fighting over a tire swing

"In retaliation she pushed me off th swing thinking that I would just fall on the ground and cry but I didn't so I pushed her off th lake that was close to that swing. See? You could see that she was dripping wet and we fought over the swing until our respected mothers called us home," he smiled as he thought it. He remembered being scolded that day and he suddenly laughed.

Rosie smiled, "So should I be jelous, or did nothing go on with you two?" She asked with a little tease.

"There was this summer when we were 15 years old where I was dared to kiss her for a minute. It was my first kiss and probably hers too," he admitted as he took her hand.
