Anita & JoAnne (after your friend's visit - have fun!) - The roll of 5 puts me on space 93, but I am using a special advantage earned on 3/22 to move ahead 3 spaces by using 3 participation points. I am now on space 96. I will note this on my Board.

By the way, I am trying to get through to a new Board because I am moving and some of my books are packed away, so I will be replacing them with those that are accessible to me.

I am really happy, because I landed on People Love Dead Jews, which I wanted to read. Plus a five is always better because I don’t really have the thoughts that I can actually finish this Porter board before the end of the challenge. I have been a little worried, because what’s been in my immediate six this roll, and I think the next, are three out of six books I’ve already or accidentally read. Although I do have my two swaps, and an extra one I earned. Anyway, this is a good read for me, because as I said, I’ve been wanting to get to it. It’s funny that I’m knocking off a lot of non-fiction through this challenge. I mean unintentionally that’s where I have landed.

I just returned from my vacation to Disney and brought back these Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Mickey ears for the Royal Caboose Butler as a parting gift.

My Porter board has been posted and I am ready for my first roll (1).

There may be tears in his eyes at your leaving, but his chest is puffed out with pride at having Big Thunder Railroad Mickey ears. Wearing them he looks quite spiffy!

Oh, heck-all the Cabana Boys want them now! I told Tom they are off limits for him-he would look like a bozo! I wish I had photo shop and could tweak a picture of him with them in 😂😂

No problem, actually, with the small number of books left unread on my board, I will end up reading the same ones no matter what. The only thing is it could delay me getting off this useless board, but I wasn't moving fast anyway.

I wonder if Ursula is responsible for the closure of my library today? I really wanted to drop by to see if my number 21 Porter subdue Book was in or I could get a speed Reed of it before I leave for Quebec on Tuesday. For $13, Amazon will get it to me by tomorrow, but I’d really rather get it from the library. But if I can, then I will have it for the six hour trip and the three or four days and I’m gone and I will be able to start moving forward. Again, I do not think there’s any possibility that I will finish the Porter bored by the end of the year. But you never know so I’m gonna keep trying a little.

Anita and JoAnne, this roll takes me off my current Board. I'll set up my next Board and let you know when it's ready.

I imagine you could get the book immediately on Kindle for a price, or maybe your library has Libby which allows you to borrow an ebook? Though if it is a popular one, there would be a wait.

It's really ok - it literally makes no difference whether I go ahead or back on my board at this point, there are 2 books left and because the books are repeated, I get to them either way. I will actually glad to be reading from the Porter board because there will be something unexpected again. I am glad I spared someone else this week!

Right now I am in a normal space #61, reading The Forty Elephants, which is the book on that space. After that it will get weird again.

We have a couple of newbie PBT me bers riding along, and a few retired who all gained emeritus status with standing to wander by for visits and fun.

CGI Tom is on special assignment for the next week or so on JoAnne's back porch but the Cabanna Boys, Firefighters, and other attendants are on full duty. Gnarly is hanging with LibraryCin while Amy vacations - hopefully he won't pine for her too much, and will simply lavish Cindy with purrs and rumbles. Joy's Magical Trunk has new puzzles from the Ravensburger sale and some exciting new games.
