OUT OF LUX discussion

That's fine, but don't go to the point of the character being unroleplayable or main character vibes.

Chrono-Displacement Disorder: The character believes they are living in different time periods simultaneously, causing confusion about their identity and surroundings.
Emotion Saturation Syndrome: The character experiences emotions at an extreme level, where joy feels like euphoria and sadness feels like despair, making it hard to function normally.
Reality Bending Syndrome: The character can alter the perceptions of reality around them, leading to chaotic situations where others see different versions of events. (Probably not this one )
Memory Fragmentation Disorder: The character's memories are not only fragmented but can also be swapped with those of others, leading to an unstable sense of self and identity.
Phantom Personality Disorder: The character believes they have multiple personalities that manifest as physical entities, leading to erratic behavior and interactions with these "phantoms."
Hyper-Sensory Overload: The character is overwhelmed by sensory inputs to an extreme degree, causing them to react unpredictably to sounds, lights, and even emotions from others.
Existential Echo Syndrome: The character hears echoes of their own thoughts and fears, which can lead to paranoia and a distorted sense of reality.
Mood Shifting: The character's emotions can shift instantaneously based on external stimuli, resulting in unpredictable behavior and responses to situations.
Synesthetic Confusion: The character experiences a blending of senses to an extreme, such as tasting colors or hearing shapes, which can lead to disorientation.
Collective Consciousness Disorder: The character believes they are connected to the thoughts and feelings of everyone around them, causing them to feel overwhelmed by the emotions of others.

Ooo alright

uh that’s so many? Why don’t you split them between two or three characters??

Well this character I’m making I’m doing something special with it, normally characters of mine have no problems or anything but this guy he will have phobias and mental illnesses and wayyy more
We'd prefer if you didn't do that to characters at all. It feels very excessive and unnecessary for the plot. A couple issues or conditions are fine, but handle them with care and do not go overboard.
clarifying question: are all of those for one character or will a character have one? i think all of them would be too much, but one would be fine if done well. especially when pulling from or using real world mental illness, we need to write with grace and care instead of just turning a real condition real people struggle with into a traumatic backstory/story fodder
1. Voxthain is relatively unchanged, having had more than enough time to rebuild since the event. Asterath looks completely different to how it did when it was once part of Voxthain. The destruction of the initial event + time in a different environment + the differences in magic have led to it looking considerably changed. For the overall vibes, Voxthain is more steampunk and Asterath is more cyberpunk, if that helps with visualization. Above ground where Asterath once was is now a thick forest where the shadowfog is creeping in
2. No. There is no relevant ancient dead civilization. The current civilization is longstanding
3. It doesn't unless they must leave the city limits for some reason. The shadowfog has remained outside of the city limits for now
4. Yes. Kind of exactly what you have described. Also, the shadowfog doesn't leave after it's settled into an area. It's growing, not moving
5. That's kind of up to characters to decide. Generally people are Not happy about the shadowfog because it Will kill you and cannot be controlled, but if you want to make a character who likes it, more power to you
6. Again, up to the people

so these are like really dumb questions i'm sorry
1. do the runalithians have planes? (can i come up with some models?)
2. is the infiltration squad traveling by ship? how are they not detected?
3. where does the squad like hang out when they're not you know murdering? like is there a base of operations, or do they just book a motel and crash there how does this work?
i had more and i forgot i'll ask later bye thank you
1) Runalithe would, yes, powered by elements and technology. Similar to our airplanes, but not exactly. Go wild with imagination.
2) Small ship until they can use their teleportation devices to avoid detection. Voxthain and Asterath are so laid-back and have not suffered attacks or anything of that kind since their own war, so they aren't patrolling borders anyways. The Runalithe squad wouldn't know that, though, so they'd just stop a bit off the shore and teleport onto land and sneak through the forest to Voxthain.
3) That's something we were waiting to decide when all squad members were made, so it could be decided off of characters and where they'd all agree to stay.
Okie dokie. xD

shush aelin. planes are vital to technology. and life. and joy.

1. okay so iyo what exactly do you mean by airplanes, like commercial long icky boring ones? or like the new flatter defense designs? i can't draw can i try to convince howler to make planes for me? at least the main infiltration one?
2. okay so hypothetically they'd use all precautions possible? like stealth technology, radar, etc and it's all just a waste of time bc they don't even gaf?
3. alrighty.

because don't you love me and this group please i'll send you a bunch of references please please please
1) Yes absolutely they can have similar ones to ours i just wanted it to be more original because this is is a whole magical moon. make Howler draw something he will
2) Yes, exactly. It's hilarious. But they don't know how strict on borders the cities are so they have to lmao
stop bringing up aluatide i will cry
and no they've not explored space or felt a need to. anything the build would be sucked into the ice planet by its gravity because they're powered by elements and you cannot take that to space exactly.

gotcha, thank you!

would it be alright if some of the delcroixs were like in cahoots with the runalithe squad. i know the squad is working in secret and all, but is there any way that could possibly happen? if not, i totally understand

tengo una pregunta:
for arya (my ellington-wyver child) would it possible that she has a pet wolf? i’m trying to make her as similar to arya stark as possible so i’m trying to bring in nymeria lol
also, i had originally put her down for a cogworks student, but in the cogworks info page it says to not make students less than twelve years old, so should i change arya’s age or…?
a wolf is reasonable, yeah! you can change her age if you want or she can just not go to cogworks? your choice
