Patricia | 1266 comments For better or worse, here goes:
1. I'm 64 years old and love being this age. I don't worry as much about what others think, etc, as when I was younger.
2. I'm 5'3" and now weigh 132 pounds compared to 172 pounds(yikes) a year ago!
3. On May 13th, I will celebrate my one year anniversary with Type 2 diabetes. A blessing as I was smacked up-side the head to lose weight, eat healthier and exercise. I feel my best in a long time.
4. I have been married for 43 years (back when Nixon was president - another yikes!)to my best friend. We have 2 adult children.
5. I always have pets. Best therapy anywhere.
6. I have a doctorate in Adult Higher Education. Worked as a counselor for many years.
7. Strangers love to tell me their stories - my strangest encounter - a female guard at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC telling me the story of her friend's murder in the ladies room of the museum as I came out of the stall. That was a 30 minute counseling session and I was only their to look at the art work!
8. I was the *odd child* who would sit and be reading a book since I was little. I was also the child who tried to convince the public librarian that I was old enough for an adult card and not a kid card.
9. When I was little, I would put on shows for the other kids and wanted to be a stand-up comedian.
10. I do believe in ghosts.

One of the things in my early life I would change if I could. School choice was technical, commercial or languages. Chose technical and today I don't make anything but a language would be useful and typing would be fantastic. today.

Kimberley

I was a qualified hairdresser, first job when I left school, then went and boxed in the evening, how's that for a combination.

When I met my wife she was seventeen and I was nineteen and her passion was horse riding, and we had our own horse Senator, nineteen hands high, like an armchair !

Used to belong to former show jumper David Broome.

When we were married we had a friend ride the horse down to the church, but the horse did not like Tracey's wedding dress, (frightened of it).

Was put to sleep at the age of 22 years old. A lovely horse. My wife was only 22 years old then , just married so we could not afford another, but do still go out but rarely.
