Christine (clt04) | 4838 comments Well, WE think you're interesting, Janet. I'll do it if you do it. I will even give you your number 1) I hate fantasy books. I Will NEVER EVER read a fantasy book, so help me God!

message 107: by Skye (new)

Out of sequence??!! Never!!!

Breathe, Christine, breathe!!

message 110: by E. (new)

E. | 653 comments "Interesting" is subjective, but it's supposed to be "random" facts. Everyone has random facts, it just so happens they end up pretty interesting. Even the little things add a whole dimension to the screen names we see here.

message 111: by Jean (new)

Jean | 2382 comments Hmmm, I guess mine weren't so "random"...more biographical (but now I don't have to do the hot seat!

message 112: by E. (new)

E. | 653 comments Ok. I got some random...

1. I was a bartender for over 20 years, since then I've been a country club captain and restaurant manager, but I miss it terribly.

2. My grandmother lived to be 103. Her last year I was her primary caretaker and even though I only slept about 2 hours a night, and had a full time job, I wouldn't have traded it for the world.

3. I have panic attacks on airplanes. It's embarrassing, so I quit flying.

4. I haven't taken a vacation since 1993, but I'm thinking about it recently.

5. If I could live secluded in the mountains, and have my supplies delivered to me every few weeks, but still have internet, I would do it.

6. I love thunderstorms and rainy days.

7. Once a friend and I were nearly abducted while on a beach at night by a crazed gunman, and we escaped after a crazy high speed car chase. He turned out to be a one time murderer and escaped convict. We put him away for 99 years.

8. If I could change careers, I would do voice-overs, commercials or radio dj. Maybe book narrator.

9. I like to figure out how things work. I'm a big fan of reverse engineering.

10. One of my hobbies is bird watching. I keep notebooks, and can recognize the songs/calls of all local birds.

I don't think 10 facts make you immune to the Hot Seat, Jean.

message 116: by Jean (new)

Jean | 2382 comments E! Who knew! That's an awesome list - I love reading all this stuff about everyone!

message 117: by E. (new)

Your list is amazing E!!!!

SUSAN *Nevertheless, she persisted* (susan-workstosupportbookhabit) | 271 comments So many interesting people and fun facts. Loving this.

message 122: by Patricia (new)

Patricia | 1266 comments E. - that is an amazing list. I appreciate every thing that everyone is so comfortable to share. My daughter suffers panic attacks and she never wants anyone to know. I tell her so many people do and she should not worry so much about being found out.

message 123: by Janet , Moderator (new)

Janet | 5302 comments Mod
It is!

Question though .... Where are the guys??!!! Hardly any male participation!! ;-)

message 124: by David (new)

David Freas (quillracer) | 557 comments I went through them for a couple years shortly after I graduated from college. Unlike many people, mine had no trigger (like being on a plane for E.), they would just clobber me out of the blue any time they damn well felt like it.

message 125: by Patricia (new)

Patricia | 1266 comments Stephanie - great list. I cannot go vegetarian except for a meal now and then. Show me the beef! Also, a marathon runner! Again, yikes, I could never.

message 126: by Patricia (new)

Patricia | 1266 comments Quillracer - thanks for the share. My daughter got into an abusive relationship and that created the ongoing panic attacks. Thankfully the relationship ended a long time ago.

David Freas (quillracer) | 557 comments Pat wrote: "Quillracer - thanks for the share. My daughter got into an abusive relationship and that created the ongoing panic attacks. Thankfully the relationship ended a long time ago."

It took me a year to figure out their root was exhaustion - I'd been living on 3 hours sleep a night for 9 months.

Patricia | 1266 comments I agree. Sleep deprivation is a serious thing.

message 130: by Patricia (new)

Patricia | 1266 comments And E. - I agree that if I could live in a secluded spot, have goods delivered but still have Internet. Yep, I would be there!!!

message 131: by Christine (new)

Christine (clt04) | 4838 comments I would do that only if I could still get the Twins games on TV or radio, Pat!

message 134: by Christine (new)

Christine (clt04) | 4838 comments Janet, the last time I recall sleeping thru the night was in the mid 80s after getting home from work at the hospital at 2 AM (a common event)--I slept from 2:00 to 6:00 without waking up. That's the last time I remember sleeping thru without waking up!! How about you?

message 137: by Christine (new)

Christine (clt04) | 4838 comments Pat, you remind me so much of one of my in-person friends. You guys could be twins in spirit!

message 138: by Patricia (new)

Anne (Booklady) Molinarolo (wwwgoodreadscomAnneMolinarolo) | 181 comments E. I totally agree with the secluded spot. And internet connection. I'd be there.

Everyone has interesting facts!

I don't sleep through the nights, and I know you are up for your kitties.

message 145: by Brenda (new)

Brenda | 2434 comments You guys crack me up! I concur with everything. All the lists are very interesting, Jean needs to be in the Hot Seat pronto, Jean is not boring, insomnia sucks, breathing is important, you all are great friends.

Now, do any of you who have done lists think of things you wish you had put down?

message 146: by Jean (new)

Jean | 2382 comments Thank you, Skye...I guess if I had to choose between being held at gunpoint or being "boring", I'd pick boring every time!

message 147: by Christine (new)

Christine (clt04) | 4838 comments I think anyone who wants to go again, even if less than 10 should do so!

message 148: by David (new)

David Freas (quillracer) | 557 comments Janet wrote: "Question though .... Where are the guys??!!! Hardly any male participation!! ;-)"

I posted earlier but here's 10 more:
1/ When I was a teen, I thought not knowing what I wanted to do with my life meant I would die before I reached 40.
2/ I’ll be eligible for Medicare later this year.
3/ I’m program director for my church’s TV ministry.
4/ Tape recorders of any kind fascinate me – I have 5 of them.
5/ I have severe acrophobia – 3 steps up a ladder is all the higher I can go.
6/ I have two children (a boy and a girl) in their mid-30s.
7/ My daughter (a forensic anthropologist) works for the U. S. military identifying missing servicemen.
8/ I once saved one of my customers from ODing on sleeping meds.
9/ I love eggs and eat 2 every morning for breakfast.
10/ My happiest days are one I spend working with my son on our cars.
