1. The only thing I have ever wanted to be is a mother. I got my wish almost
3 years ago, and now have 2 very rambunctious, always entertaining
toddlers.
2. I am a stay at home mom, and also a feminist.
3. I will read just about any genre of book, except I have never been
Interested in reading a western.
4. I am addicted to watching almost any crappy/trashy reality tv show.
Though, I have never had any interest in anything Kardashian.
5. I love to knit, cross stitch, and do crafts with my kids.
6. I am obsessed with history and have too many places I want to see.
7. I love baseball and want to visit and watch a game in every stadium.
8. I cannot sleep without noise in the room. I have to have a tv or fan on.
9. I hate bugs of any kind.
10. I have a very snarky, sarcastic personality. I am outgoing once I get to
know people better and can know the personalities o the group.

Okay--here goes:

1. My daughter is my Queen.
2. I love to write. I have such a vivid imagination, characters live in my head and want out.
3. I think Prince is one of the sexiest men to ever live. (I've included him in a few of my books:)
4. Music makes the world go round.
5. I'm learning French and I crochet.
6. I have a wonderful relationship with food. (but no I'm not obese)
7. Do not talk to me when "Hannibal" is on.
8. I love scary movies with monsters and aliens in them; and movies that take place in space; and suspenseful movies.
9. I think romantic comedies in the movies are lame!
10. I'm considered an Amazon woman, so I tend to intimidate some people when they first meet me. "No, really, I'm the friendly one. Here, shake my hand":)

1 - About a year and a half ago I discovered that I can write really good novels and I wouldn't stop writing so my family thought I was having a health issue and I was actually sent for blood work!
2 - I can make amazing soup out of almost anything.

4 - Last summer I took the Pottermore sorting hat quiz and I am Slytherin. This disturbed and pleased me simultaneously.
5 - I am the only person I ever knew of who saw the first season, first episode of Breaking Bad on live TV. I tried to convince people to watch it for two years before it caught on. This was a lonely time for me.
6 - There was a single kiss on an episode of Hell On Wheels that inspired me tremendously with my book Circling The Shadows. So much was communicated in that single kiss. It was art.
7 - My own fist kiss was standing in the deep end of a pool.
8 - I am a terrible laugh-peer. Coworkers are well aware of this and making me laugh pee has becomes somewhat of a sport at work.
9 - I have one brother who looks just like Jerry Seinfeld, another brother who looks just like Adam Sandler, and my sister received a looks like Jacklyn Smith superlative in high school.
10 - I am insanely crazy for live music. Spending an evening with friends/family and loud, live music is my idea of perfection.

I'm so glad, Paige and Lisa Marie, that you were able to get away from those perverts. I wish all kids could have been so fortunate. I've seen things as a kid that even some adults shouldn't witness, but you're just thankful you survived.

3. This might date me but my favorite novel as a child was 'Where the Red Fern Grows' and I read it like 13 times.
4. I have lots of acquaintances but very few close friends because I am like an onion. You have to peel off many layers to get to know me and I'm always worried about what other people think once they do.
5. I am an introvert and prefer solitude with a good book but you wouldn't know it if you met me. I have a job that I deal with lots of people every day and enjoy every minute of it. As long as they don't ask me anything personal or deep. (This is so hard for me. I hate talking about myself!)
6. Blood and guts don't make me squeamish... Okay... it's kind of a must in the life of a cardiovascular nurse on a cardiac unit. I love everything about the heart including awesome books that tug at your heartstrings.
7. I am a daydreamer and until just recently didn't realize how good they would sound on paper until I wrote my first novel.
8. I kind of fell off the reading wagon for a while in high school to explore boys and went like 10 years without reading a novel.(I know! Bad! I wouldn't dream of it now.) I hated my English classes and never considered writing a novel until my daughter begged me to read the Hunger Games. I read all three in 5 days. The ending upset me so much (loved the books) that I decided I would write a novel of my own without killing off sweet little girls (sorry if that was a spoiler, I'm guessing just about everyone has read them by now.)
9. You can read me like a closed book. I can have a smile, be cheery and positive on the outside and wanting to cry on the inside.
10. I just decided one day to write. My mind and fingers couldn't stop. My husband was like 'what are you doing?' and I was like 'I'm writing a book' then, with an unbelievable amount a sarcasm and a scowl on his face to prove it, he was like... 'why?'

WELCOME, Everyone!!!

1. I like to read paper books when they are written or translated to my language (bulgarian), but the foreign language books I read on my Kindle.
2. The first thing I do when I hear about a movie or a TV-series is to go to IMDB and see if it is based on book. That's why my reading list is so big.
3. I love history- it was my favorite subject in school, my favorite group sings about history and I love to read about historical events. In this case I prefer non-fiction book to fictional literature.
4. Currently studying in UK university in the field of Film Studies.
5. Walking is one of my hobbies. When I feel lonely and/or there are no frends around, I take really long walks and, at the same time, i am listening music. At one point of my life I was walking for 4 hours a day.
6. My favorite music genre is hevy metal.
7. My favorite movie genres are horror and war.
8. My favorite types of books are crime and horror. Additionaly, I read classical books.
9. Poems are not my favorite thing. I rarely read them and rarely like them.
10. If I ever have the chance, I would love to visit at least one of these countries:
Austria, Czech Republic, the countries in the Baltic( Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia) in Scandinavia and Finland.
+ I love reading in the train and in the airport, especially when I have hours of time ahead of me.

OK, here goes

1] In high school, my French teacher scolded me for speaking French with a mild German accent. I started taking German the year before, so my tongue had to work to get the sounds right.
2] I consider myself something of a linguaphile. Linguophile? I like different languages, any way. Even if I can't understand them, I love to hear them. My mother tongue is English, and I took German and French in high school, so one of my resolutions for this year is to learn some Spanish. Not for any reason, just because why not?
3] I read a lot of fantasy books. This year, I'm aiming to read other genres as well, although another group I'm in has a sci-fi/Fantasy reading challenge that I'm using to shorten my TBR list a touch.
4] My 'to-watch' list if shows and films is almost as long as my TBR list.
5] 2016 is my first reading challenge year. I have to admit, I'm kind of addicted to them now... It's not doing my bank balance any good, even with kindle freebies being a thing.
6] Figuring out how to rib stitch in knitting [knit one, purl one] is driving me slowly insane. You tube has proven somewhat useful in stalling the insanity.
7] There are squirrels living in my roof. And I think a magpie or two as well.
8] I make a decent stir fry, usually with chicken or turkey, occasionally with beef or pork. It has to have some meat though, I'm certainly not a vegetarian.
9] Yankee Candles are awesome. And another drain on my bank account.
10] I'm in no way a neat freak, which drives my sister crazy. I believe in organised chaos.

7. If you want to block out the world's noise, always have a pair of earbuds in your pocket. It works, trust me.
8. For Spotify, if you have a specific song that you're in the mood to or want to listen, create a playlist for that one specific song. I do this all the time!
9. Check if your library has something that's called ILL (Inter-Library-Loan) because then you can actually get books that are from different libraries in your area. Or maybe they also have a wide range of ebooks that you can borrow for your convenience.

1) I don't have a driver's license. I can drive, yes, even standard. But my husband can't give up the control!

2) I love chocolate! Although I'm diabetic, I have to have at least a bite of chocolate every day.

3) I love real live books made of paper and ink. I have not, and probably never will, embraced the ereader. I understand the concept and can see the obvious benefits, but I do not have one or use one.

4) I have 114 books borrowed from my public library right now sitting in shopping bags around the house. My husband and son think I'm insane!

5) I love Disneyland! My whole family does. We have a tradition of always riding Peter Pan's Flight first. We're hopefully going to visit in July!

6) I read obsessively. 5 to 12 books (or more!) at one time. I joke that I'm a serial book starter. I like to jump around from book to book, but I don't know why.

7) I work at a mental hospital. Seriously. I'm in medical records & it's relatively safe and very interesting.

1. I am a huge animal lover, I work with 2 non-profits helping animals and am a representative in my state for one just starting up.

2. My dogs mean more to me then most people.

3. I have to hold a book when I'm reading, a screen just doesn't give me the same fix.

4. I thought I was an extrovert growing up but in my twenties discovered that I was an introvert posing as an extrovert, which was exhausting.

5. I need to always be doing something with my hands so I knit and crochet a lot. I accidentally started a little business out of it

6. I love to travel. I once lived in a camper for 1.5 yrs just traveling across the US. I have also been to many places in Europe but my fathers home town in Ireland is my favorite.

7. I have a deep love for Edgar Allan Poe, he is the one person in all of history that I wish I could meet.

8. I've always loved hanging out in graveyards, they are in fact one of my favorite places to read.

9. I first saw Labyrinth when I was 2 years old and have been in love with David Bowie ever since. His death is still upsetting to me.

10. When I was in grade school I had a lot of trouble with reading and writing but had a teacher that changed all that and so my obsession with reading began.

Hi, I'm maria helena. I'm not new to the group, but realized that I never posted a list here.

Here are 10 random things abut me:

1. I love reading. I mostly read crime novels (especially British and Nordic/Scandinavian crime).

2. Although I love reading about gruesome murders (my tolerance factor is pretty high), I absolutely cannot read books where children or animals are hurt.

3. I like raisins and I like chocolate, but I don’t like chocolate covered raisins.

4. I've lived in 4 different countries: Sweden, USA, England, and Iceland.

5. I don’t eat purple vegetables.

6. I’m not fond of heights and small spaces, and I’m terrified of snakes.

7. I'm a geologists. I know a lot of random information about rocks.

8. I love cheese. I once had a dream that my friend and I were judges on a cheese contest and all we had to do was to eat amazing cheese all day long. I also once had a nightmare that we were sealed off from the rest of the world and that we would run out of cheese.

9. It is impossible for me to decide on a favourite book or a favourite author but some of my favourites are: The Harry Potter books by JK Rowling, The Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon, and the Joona Linna books by Lars Kepler.

10. Ice cream + microwave = awesome.

Ten random things about me:
1. I have an obsessive personality. I get in spurts where I get obsessed with certain things, such as I have a crazy collection on bears and stars,

2. I love reading and I love binge watching tv. I have an incredibly long list of shows I watch.

3. I love my family. I am very family-oriented. I am very close with my dad and my boyfriends family.

4. I am currently a substitute teacher and attending grad school for my special education cert.

5. I would love travel one day. The only other place I have been is Maryland.

6. I have a sweet but active four year old. He is my entire world.

7. I love being outdoors. We go camping a lot in my family and ride four wheelers/mopeds.

8. I am incredibly shy which I absolutely hate.

9. I HATE cooking. I would give my left arm to never have to cook again.

My 10 Random Facts About Me:

1. I obsessivly worry over everything even when I shouldn't.

2. I tend to speak before I think, which is not a good habit especially because of #1.

3. I often make up stories in my head to distract me from things.

4. I can't read when I'm upset, if I try then I find I get frustrated and the story sours.

5. I think 8 in the morning is to early.

6. My heart always wants to be on the move if I'm stuck in one place for to long.

7. I'm curious to a fault and the friends who know me, understand this. Besides I can make life interesting through a different perspective kind of way.

8. Said friends also think I'm trouble but in a "mischievous child-like" way. (My words because I think they either adore it or feel exasperated towards it, kind of way)

9. I feel most alive under the stars and moon.

10. I guess I'm odd and a little out of the box.

Ten Random Things:

1. I tend to fall asleep within 5 minutes of my head hitting the pillow. My friends have counted. Along this vein, I can also fall asleep almost anywhere, and with plenty of light around me.
2. I'm definitely a morning person, but on weekends, I seem to wake up closer to, or after 12:00PM, and I'm never happy about it - my day is GONE! Ugh!
3. I practice making weird faces in the bathroom mirror at work.
4. Mavis Beacon taught me how to type.
5. I love the smell of mildewed books. My mom's great-uncle left her his entire Edgar Rice Burroughs collection, and so many of them got water damage, but they smell so good!
6. I have an interest in achieving fluency in as many languages as possible.
7. I'm not a fan of hot or warm fruit, including pies and teas.
8. I absolutely love playing the piano.
9. I like being up high. I'm only nervous if there's the possibility of falling to my death. I've been on rooftops, and have peered over the edge several times. It's just so fun, and the views are always amazing.
10. I am almost 30 and have never changed a dirty diaper.

**Edit: I'm now 30, and have changed 3 dirty diapers.

I used to do this a lot when I was younger. Seriously, though. If you get the ice cream out of the freezer, it's because you're ready for it NOW. (Nowadays, I just get distracted, and when I remember that I took the ice cream out, it's softened enough.)

I also used to stir up my mint chip ice cream + chocolate syrup until it turned into an ice cream soup, the idea of which grosses out my friends. Delicious.
