Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments Since some of us at HA seem to be amateur photographers, thought it might be neat to have a place to post them. Could be any picture, not necessarily one you took yourself.

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments Lucas and Madison, the girl next door. He's been wanting her to come over for weeks to play videogames.

Bandit (lecturatoro) | 8821 comments Adorable :) great picture
also, love your couch/rug color combination

Laurie (barksbooks) (barklesswagmore) | 1471 comments Oh such cuteness!

message 5: by Tressa (last edited Sep 02, 2011 08:59AM) (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments Thanks Bandit and Bark. Lucas isn't one of those boys who thinks girls have cooties.

I was afraid the orange in the rug and the blue of the couch would scream Auburn football team (boo!), but the yellow and red keeps it from doing that.

You can see with the couch, rug, and chair that we're not afraid of color.

LOL! I think of the same things when it comes to color combos. Can't resemble teams I don't like.

message 7: by Tressa (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments I will NOT buy anything orange and blue. Just can't bring myself to do it.

I like Auburn and pull for them in championship games that we're not competing in, but other than that I don't have anything to do with them.

Lucas has classmates he likes who are for Auburn, so he takes the diplomatic way out and states the he goes for both. I think that's nice of him.

message 8: by Gatorman (new)

Gatorman | 8320 comments And safer for him! I will not have any color combo resembling Tennessee, Georgia or Florida State colors in my house or on my son. Luckily, my wife understands and it has never been an issue.

message 9: by Eileen (new)

Eileen Tressa, Great picture!

Lucas looks just like you...since I've never seen a picture of your husband.

message 10: by Gatorman (new)

Gatorman | 8320 comments Would love to see the picture but it's not showing up on my computer. That happens sometimes.

message 11: by Tressa (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments Eileen, my husband's picture is in my profile pics. There are only certain times I think Lucas favors Brooks, otherwise he looks like me. That's what everyone says.

Gator, here's a direct link to the picture.

message 12: by Eileen (new)

Eileen I went and looked, Tressa. Since I think Lucas looks more like you, does he have your husband's personality?

You and your husband make a good looking couple.

message 13: by Tressa (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments Thanks. He has both of our personality. He can be impatient and shy like me, but he also has Brooks' corny sense of humor.

message 14: by Tressa (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments Oh, my husband is the guy with Scott Sigler, not the authorRobert McCammon, the man in that picture with me.

message 15: by Gatorman (new)

Gatorman | 8320 comments Wow, Lucas does look just like you.

Cute picture. So when's the wedding date?

message 16: by Tressa (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments Don't know. But I thought the same thing. He's wild about her. The other night we were out talking to some neighbors a street over, and Madison's dad came out to talk. Lucas heard Madison coming over and ran over to meet her. They kind of dance around each other. Her dad is a caterer, lol.

LOL. Love this! =) My Mom originally didn't want me to have orange flowers in my bouquet when I married b/c of Auburn!!! lol. Oh, we Alabama folks. =]

message 23: by The Pirate Ghost (new)

The Pirate Ghost (Formerly known as the Curmudgeon) (pirateghost) I've got some good pictures of the Blue Angels last weekend. I'll post some of them soon.

message 24: by Tressa (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments LOL. Lori, your mom's just looking out for you. I like orange and I like blue but you'll never see them side-by-side in my house. In the same room maybe, but not next to each other. Constant reminder of The Enemy!

Those are beautiful pics, Eileen. Thanks for sharing.

Ha! Gator, if only Tim had had such a lovely view while prone in the cornfields, instead of the dirt and rocks.

Lee | 2502 comments Went to a John Connolly book signing last night. He's a very funny, easy going guy.I met a gal from the Connolly forum, that I used to participate in. She took the picture, and my "wonderful" expression is from her asking us to flex.

The store we were at was Murder by the Book. They have someone bake a cake for each signing. Each cake is the cover of the book . She does an amazing job... If you go here, you can see past authors and the cakes. http://www.murderbythebook.com/ ( Click on events. )

message 26: by Bandit (new)

Bandit (lecturatoro) | 8821 comments I was wondering if that would be a sleeveless occasion or what LOL

That is so awesome, Lee! I would love to meet him. The Burning Soul is brilliant as usual. Have you read it yet?

message 30: by Lee (new)

Lee | 2502 comments No, I haven't....just bought it! :)

message 31: by Lee (new)

Lee | 2502 comments I found this one, as you can see it's almost four years ago.

Garrett

message 32: by Lee (new)

Lee | 2502 comments On a MUCH happier note...

WJ - Wyatt James is the big "1" today!

message 33: by Tressa (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments Aw, Garrett looks like a sweet, loyal dog. :-(

Happy Birthday, Wyatt! Did you get him a cake?

message 34: by Lee (new)

Lee | 2502 comments Savanna ordered it today. She came downstairs (imagine that, me in the mancave) "Dad, want to make Wyatts b-day cake?" This is what she had in mind! http://www.easy-birthday-cakes.com/jo... Hmmmm dear, I think I'll pass till I can do a couple of practice cakes! :)

Yes...JD will be the theme.

message 35: by Gatorman (new)

Gatorman | 8320 comments Very cute! Happy B-day, Wyatt!

message 36: by Bandit (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments Lucas wearing his "My Wookie ate my homework" shirt and playing Angry Birds. Uh, we just bought that game today and it.is.addicting.

message 38: by Lee (new)

Lee | 2502 comments Wyatt's mom has a good laugh, trying to get him to keep the sunglasses on...

Wyatt isn't too sure about this green & yellow thing...so, no messy cake face pics!

JD tractor pinata (didn't fill it with candy, she wants to use it in a future b-day)

And, keeping with the theme..

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments You know those Civil War pictures that look like current actors? Well a friend was in Cracker Barrel and took this picture of "me" from a hundred years ago.

message 44: by Bandit (new)

Bandit (lecturatoro) | 8821 comments lol, awesome

Laurie (barksbooks) (barklesswagmore) | 1471 comments That's hilarious Tressa. You've found your doppelganger.

message 46: by Tressa (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments She knows I'm a vampire...now she must be dealt with accordingly.

message 47: by Eileen (new)

Eileen Tressa, you haven't aged a day! What's your secret?!? I guess what they say is true...you have improved with age.

message 48: by Tressa (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments I drink a goblet of virgin blood every morning. Of course, these days cracks are starting to show in my face...

message 49: by Bandit (new)

Bandit (lecturatoro) | 8821 comments wow, there must be a lot of virgins available in Alabama :)

message 50: by Tressa (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments Thank you. But, as I said, there aren't enough so my face is starting to crack. I fear I may turn to dust in the next decade unless more young ladies not only take the virginity pledge but stick to it.
