Jazzabella ~*~ Catherine~*~ (jazzabella) | 13 comments abbey__morine wrote: "That sounds good what is it??"

if your asking what
The Lost Prince (The Iron Fey Call of the Forgotten, #1) by Julie Kagawa is, it is the 1st book in the spin off series that takes place after The Iron King (The Iron Fey, #1) by Julie Kagawa . if you haven't read that series i suggest you read it first though you don't have too.

message 119: by Nickie (new)

Nickie (nickieanderson) 'Shadow and Bone' rocked my socks. It was really good.

And, of course, I have to shamelessly self promote -- I released a YA book, 'Bright Star' that's a little dystopian, sci-fi, and action/adventure.

message 120: by Anthony (new)

Anthony Edwards | 4 comments I would have to say "Wings of Arian" this book was freaking amazing. I loved this book beginning to end. I loved both of the 2 main characters, and the set up of the plot. I won't reveal any spoilers but if you liked City of Bones or anything by Cassandra Claire you will love this book.

message 121: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa (alyssaauch) | 7 comments I second Matched! Matched (Matched, #1) by Ally Condie

Kate Liaden wrote: "I'm looking for something that is entertaining and funny something to make me laugh. A witty or snarky character maybe a bit of a love story idk its been one of those days just want something that ..."

Try these: An Abundance of Katherines by John Green , Heist Society (Heist Society, #1) by Ally Carter , Suite Scarlett (Scarlett, #1) by Maureen Johnson , The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks by E. Lockhart

I thought they were all entertaining, plus they all have the snarkiness and romance you're looking for.

message 134: by Austin (new)

Austin (_austinwells) | 14 comments I just finished UnWholly , which was amazing! It's the second book in a trilogy though, right after Unwind. But Neal Shusterman wrote a short book #1.5 before the second was published, which I haven't read. Inputs an amazing series and dies have some romance ... And I'm reading Matched and The Maze Runner right now and they are so good! I also started City of Bones which has potential romance so far(:

When you're typing a comment click add book/author (it's on the top right of the comment box) then search the book you want to add. Make sure you select insert cover instead of insert link at the bottom.

message 137: by Kaamna (new)

Kaamna Bhojwani-dhawan | 5 comments i have 3 books to recommend, all completely different stories but with one thing in common: cool interactivity that lets the reader choose what happens next!

Georgetown Academy Book One by Jessica Koosed Etting

Where the sons and daughters of political big-guns practice their own brand of power plays and mud-slinging.

Witch's Brew (The Spellspinners of Melas County, #1) by Heidi R. Kling
Witches, warlocks and modern day magic!

Dead Letter Office by Kira Snyder
A southern gothic mystery with a teen detective and a most intriguing crime-busting team!

message 138: by Robert (last edited Mar 13, 2013 02:43PM) (new)

Robert Sylwery (robkarap) I definitely recommend Obsidian (Lux, #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout Onyx (Lux, #2) by Jennifer L. Armentrout Opal (Lux, #3) by Jennifer L. Armentrout Shadows (Lux, #0.5) by Jennifer L. Armentrout They are really fantastic! :)

Barbara | 0 comments If you're serching for a romance, than The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern is what you need to read XD

message 140: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Angell (heidiangell) | 82 comments I would recommend Angels & Warriors The Awakening by Dawn Tevy especially if you like fantasy, are looking for romance, a love triangle and a kick butt heroine! The only thing that sucks is that it is the first in a series and the next book hasn't been released yet!

For those who like traditional vampire slaying, check out The Hunters by Heidi Angell It is intense, horrific, and well, lots of dead vamps ;)

And of course, anything by authorRick Riordan!

message 142: by Samyuktha (new)

Samyuktha (bookworm6) I have a lot of books I would love to recommend but I'm going to try to keep it short.
I love the Nightshade Series (very romantic)
The Girl of Fire and Thorns (love the characters in it)
Shelter/Seconds Away by Harlan Coben (action-packed)
The Fault in our Stars (made me cry)
The Perks of Being a Wallflower (raw and honest)
All of Sarah Dessen's books except dreamland (fun and flirty)

So anyway hope that wasn't too long!

message 143: by Doug (new)

Doug Hoffman (dshoffman) | 16 comments If you haven't read The Amulet of Samarkand, give it a shot. Wonderful YA fantasy. Male protag, but Stroud introduces a strong female character in the second book of the series.

message 144: by Anita (new)

Anita (anitatt) | 1 comments Hi,
It's my first post on here. I totally love YA novels. I have two (2) to recommend. I really hope the moderators will put them on the shelf too.

This High School Has Closets by Robert Joseph Greene is a gay high school love story that is told from the Canadian perspective which I think is unique and valuable to YA readers.

Would You Mind? by Robert Joseph Greene is my second suggestion because it is based upon a true story and it really is a "feel good" story about coming out which is so rare in the LGBT Community. I hope you like them...Happy Reading!!!!!
