alright, question: how do potions effect magic? ie, if someone's high, would that dull their magic? make it more likely to get out of control? would it depend on the potions? what about alcohol?

yes, yes they would be XD

it depends on the potion. these are synonymous with irl drugs, so if the potion is a depressant (like weed i guess but that feels like an odd comparison), it will dull magic. if the potion is a stimulant, it will make the magic more erratic and explosive

are there lakes and deserts on faerun or lux in general?

Yep, the two cities are cities but other landforms do exist in other cities/around the continent.

there are lakes around voxthain and cavern lakes in asterath. it's a temperate climate here, but yes there would be deserts elsewhere on the moon

i completely forgot that the setup to the dinner was started and is waiting on my reply. thank you to rory for the reminder there. fae and taz were at the farmers market the morning of the dinner buying food and they are now in the kitchen getting ready for the meal so i guess once they're done there, they can call the family in for the meal? and yes there must be pets and crabs involved

who is the head of the devoe family? the claims are structured around that person, so if it's evelyn's sister, it would be

Evelyn's dad is the head, then her mom and siblings. Her sister is actually disowned, but I know that there are already two disowned nobles, so if you want me to change that, I can definitely do that! It would be:

Devoe Patriarch (Evelyn's dad)
Devoe Matriarch (Evelyn's mom)
Devoe Older Son (her brother)
Devoe Older daughter (Evelyn)
Devoe younger son (her brother)
Devoe Younger daughter (her sister)

and some cousins, nieces, nephews, her sister-in-laws, and an aunt and uncle. I can limit the amount of roles thought if you want :)

i have no issue with having another disowned noble! given the whole political structure of voxthain, i think it feels reasonable for that to be a fairly common occurrence with the families fighting for power and status. so:

Devoe Older daughter (Evelyn)

alright, this is really just about lore, since I'll likely be claiming and creating a whole new char for the Coven, however, I was thinking maybe one of the Delacroix ancestors was a Grimcroft. Just, since you, know both families being powerful magic weikders and all that. Would it be more likely that they're related or not? Like I said, it's not really important, it's not like Athena's gonna be a member if the Coven lol.

The Grimcrofts are separate and another very strong magic-using name, but we are trying to specifically avoid direct blood relation to the Delacroixs. They're similar, but different. Making a new character for them is very exciting though!!

Quick question! So for the Star Tamer, since she watches over the training of the initiates, would she know various types of magic? Or just one specific type?

would all coven members be initiates or could some - because they didn’t specify in a certain type of magic - still have studied at cogworks?
