Lindsay Edgar | 13 comments Work is getting in the way of my Hollows reading.

Love Ivy...if you wake up my girlfriend, I'll let her eat you.

Megan | 31 comments Best One Yet! This book had everything! TWiser, I wondered about that too. I don't remember ever hearing about siblings and why didn't they survive? Is this a hint for the next book?

The situation with Al made me tear up. How could he abandon her? I can't wait to see how that ends.

message 453: by Rhonda (new) - rated it 5 stars

Rhonda | 3 comments I don't the siblings have ever been mentioned before. Between this and the Al/Ceri revelation and all kinds of other stuff, I think we'll find out a lot in the next/last book. That book is going to have to be 700 pages... LOL.

Karinloos sigh loved it. need more of chapter 22

After EA, when it seemed like Trent and Al gained some insight into each other as a result of working together through the various rings to defeat Ku'Sox, I had hoped that a road had been opened to at least the start of...not necessarily a bromance, per se...but something. I was disappointed that Al took this route.

Erin *Proud Book Hoarder* (erinpaperbackstash) I'm done with the mystics myself. I don't trust the wild magic

Kritchie | 126 comments I just WON a SIGNED hardback of TUP from Your Urban Fantasy website!!! YIPEE!! I just had to share the news!

TWiser I think there's a couch fetish in there somewhere ;-)

message 459: by Megan (new) - rated it 5 stars

Megan | 31 comments Erin: I thought the mystics brought the magic to a whole new level, but no, I don't trust them either. I wonder if we'll see them again.

Veronica: I agree. I thought they would become somewhat of a triad and kick some ass together again. I was so, so disappointed in Al for not even trying to help her.

TWiser: It's more like a kitchen fetish, I think.

Desertlass The couch made me think of Kisten. Sigh. Happy, happy couch.

I didn't understand the last lines about a sturdy house. Help?

Sharon | 6 comments Desertlass wrote: "I didn't understand the last lines about a sturdy house. Help?"

The sturdy house comment refers to having a solid foundation of love. Trent has people he loves with all his heart who love him. Jenks does too. This is true safety. Losing his wealth, power, position are minor things in comparison. Trent is saying that if you have solid love around you, the rest is irrelevant.

I do remember the siblings were mentioned in one of the earlier books (2 or 3) when they were wondering about what he was.

I loved that last line. That said, I don't think Trent is totally without money. If he doesn't have a good chunk of money in offshore accounts I would be very surprised. It may be a case of instead of being a billionare now he's only a multi-millionaire. I hope anyway. I'm glad for all his personal growth and finding happiness, love, and true freedom but I kind of like him with money too. lol

Desertlass Thanks, Sharon. I thought it was something like that, but I wasn't familiar with the phrase.

I love the idea that there will be less money. It will give Trent a chance to fold his own underwear.

message 465: by Rhonda (new) - rated it 5 stars

Rhonda | 3 comments Yeah, Trent tells Raches to relax, he's has insurance for this kind of thing, lol.

And then when he's smacking Ellasbeth down, he refers to the fact the he may be down, but he's not out.

I remember Kim saying in the DWW read along that she liked to write Trent humble sometimes, but she always wanted him to have his teeth. LOL.

Lindsay Edgar | 13 comments What an amazing book. So happy for Rachel and Trent, loved every bit of it!

Very disappointed and sad about Al. I'm hoping this is a knee-jerk reaction that is fueled by the recent loss of Ceri and jealousy. I was also looking forward to Trent, Al, and Rachel working together. Hope this can come to a somewhat happy resolution.

Mellifluous | 41 comments Chapter 22 was 10/10... sheer perfection. I really enjoyed the scene at the Zoo as well. So nice to see how well they work together-and the best thing is that they have remained true to their original characters. While they have both matured-they are still essentially themselves. Awesome writing!!!!

I was sad about Al too. I think there was a bit of jealousy in there--and I certainly didn't expect that reaction, but it made an exciting end to the book. Bit sad about the Chrysalis though.

Me too - I loved Chapter 22 to the end of the book! I did wonder about the Chrysalis thought...hope that has a conclusion in the last book and a wake up call for Al and Rachel instead of her aligning with Newt.

Bjørk | 3 comments When does the next book come out! i need it!!

And i can't believe, what happened with Al! It made me cry! He can't just leave here!!

message 470: by Teena (new) - rated it 5 stars

Teena | 66 comments I agree about Al, he is not my favorite character, but even I felt for Rachel at how this relationship was left. It will be interesting to see what comes out of the chrysalis if anything - there were some interesting comments in Kim's discussion forum. Love Rachel and Trent's relationship development and that they didn't need magic! I went to my first book signing and met her and Guy - it was awesome!! Waiting for the final book will be bittersweet, but I am also looking forward to Peri.

Me too but a question...who or what is Peri?

My guess---the lead character in the next series once The Hollows is done.

Lindsay Edgar | 13 comments After the final book, how done with the Hollows will Kim be? Any short stories? New POV stories from existing chapters? I would love to read about Trent's epiphany in his love for Rachel and kicking out Ellasbeth. Anything Hollows?!? ::sniff::

message 474: by Rhonda (new) - rated it 5 stars

Rhonda | 3 comments I really, really hope for some short stories, anyway.

Me too... So sad that it is ending "sniff, sniff" but hoping for some short stories of POVs of different characters.

Hope it's treating you well :P.

As for short stories, I think Kim said she didn't really plan on doing many. I don't think she's completely ruling things out but she looks at her short stories as another way of moving things along in the world, so don't hold your breaths.

I just love it so much and it feels like we have waited forever for Trent & Rachel!

Teena | 66 comments Kritchie,

That is impressive! I may have read certain chapters (I will not say which but you can probably guess!) that many times, not the whole book! Good for you! I am going to miss these discussion forums when the series is over...

Mellifluous | 41 comments A recent post from Kim's Drama Box 3/19 (yippee)...

"I’m back at work at my desk, and lo, I find myself writing a Hollows short. You know they’re going to want to put one in the back of the mass market, right? I thought I was done, but burn my toast if some of your questions during the Q&A didn’t make me realize a little clarification about why Al is so angry at the end of The Undead Pool might be in order.

Two days of fumbling have finally evolved into a solid story direction. Feels good."

....So for those of you that were wondering if there would ever be another Hollows short-this is awesome news!
