I'll also want a paper-form book to read (Dresden is e-book)... I'm thinking Ink and Bone or Uprooted. But I haven't yet decided which... Hm... I'm going to go with Uprooted and claim the 'U' spot, since it will temporarily delay me starting yet another series. *Looks at TBR, which is mostly sequels as it is*
I'm currently reading

Silver/gray:

Gold:

Tell me about it, the book I'm reading is so slow I feel like I'm going to fall asleep.

Long Drive Home isn't gray... not sure what color that tree trunk is, but it's not gray ;)
Archer's Voice - gray!
Texas Chase - not gray
Making Faces - looks more black than gray to me, but if Margaret or Rose disagree I'm willing to take it, hehe
Suite Francaise - muted colors, but not gray
The Highwayman Incident - not quite gray, I think?
Becoming Calder - gray!
The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane - brown, sadly

You mean Uprooted? I didn't like it (at all :/) Too much infodump & slow plot. I'm not one for high fantasy and such.

If you're not enjoying it and are only doing it for the challenge, drop it! We'll find something else to fill that slot, no problem.
After all, a corollary to "read what makes you happy" is "don't read what doesn't make you happy"! :D
(edited - I can't remember my own tagline, it seems :P)

Eep! So, uh, Bethany... you may regret it. Or not. Keep us posted. lol

Yeah, I think I'm going to take a break from it.

We are level 2 with 25 hp and 15 atk (hopefully 16 soon). If we go against a team with our exact stats, we can only survive 1 hit before we need a potion (because we'll be knocked out on the 2nd hit). Same for that team, so I guess going first is better! (In Novel RPG, the player (i.e. me) always goes first.)
We also have a fair bit of gold, so we can buy some potions too. And I highly suspect that the matchups will be grouped into thirds (something like the thirds used for Wheel -- the higher ranked teams got harder words), so we might be going against teams ranked near us. We're 17th right now, which puts us at the TOP of the bottom third, yay! So, if I'm right, we have that in our favor.
I checked spreadsheets and the most advanced Hero in our third of teams has 25 hp and 14 atk. Most of the teams have 13 atk, and a lot only have 20 hp right now. We do have a few more days to prep though, but I think we're ahead of the game.
So... advice... I think we should shoot for leveling up once more (=more hp) and increasing our atk once more, before we have to fight a team. We can shoot for the quests that give potions and xp, or gold and xp (since then we can buy potions). We'll know more after we start fighting another team.
tl;dr? Let's level up & increase atk, leaning toward quests with potions or gold.

Captains -- how many Omni-sack/Milon/whatever bonuses do we have left?

I agree, Uprooted is one of my all time favorites! Enjoy

For #1 in a series
Will definitely keep reading this series at some point. 8-)
For now I will move on to

Good day all! I'm off to work

This breakdown is the awesome. ^^
One more level and one more point of attack sounds like a great goal. If the cards land well we may even be able to get two more levels! While keeping an eye out for gold and potions, of course.
And another vote for discarding card one, aye. :)

Isotropic is yours! We have four Omni (seems most fitting, hehe) bonuses left.

No problem! Just to make sure, was this #1 or #5 in a series? I think I have you down for both, correct me if I'm wrong. :)

Eeep, sorry! Double checking, just a second....
eta: Or a minute or thirty. ;)
eta: Or more, eep. I'll make a new post when I have an answer.

It appears to work :)

No big deal...I have already committed my reading to other things for the next few days...was going through my shelf just to see if I had anything that might be an idea for whoever...move on as you think best...especially if no one else is finding anything...I should finish 3 others in about three days...let's get a monster to do some damage to...sounds like we are ready for some action!

Nothing like a 3 hour flight with no turbulence for lots of good reading. 8-)
Oh and I am happy to claim the Letter Y book next with this book

"A Year on Ladybug Farm" - You can drop the "A" right? I know you can drop "the"
and this way we will finish card 3.
And I cast my vote to discard number 1 as well. *grin

Yea airline travel! Hehe.
Y is all yours - the leading article (a/an/the) can indeed be dropped :)

Bwahahaha, excellent. ~steeples fingers~
Here's hoping that all the crazy is settling itself out and you'll have some quality relaxing book time soon. :)

Have a great morning/evening, all!

If it's not stepping on anyone's toes too much, this is a #3. Not that we need to level up our weapon right now for anything in particular.
It's also a horror book, or could be used for acceptability, as parasites find humans an acceptable host?

#4 book in a series"
This one also will work for Card 2 - Acceptability - the quality or state of meeting one's needs adequately.
Faith marries Duke because it will give her a father to her children, and safety from her previous life. I'd say that covers "adequately meeting her needs" :)
I think it may be best to use this book towards that card, as then that cards is done and we get a stack of experience and a cool poison potion!!
I have another #4 book that I can read and will start now.

Dead Aim
Card 2: Perpetuity
MC is photographer capturing images 'forever'
(Thanks Ray for your help)
Love this series!...this one is #4.5...so not ideal to count for our series challenge.
